put a half cattle ring feeder in front then move out of the way once finished, quick fix.
Joesph Williams yes that could work Temporary
Hi Gerry would some rubber matting on the front of the chopper keep it from going all over the yard
Just heard you say that near the end
@Gerry6420... contratulations to you both on the new addition to the family. Have you come across any downside to the new tires on the telehandler or are they working well for you?
Good video Gerry.👍🏻
Farmer P thanks Farmer P
Theres going to be a massive potato crisis this year I'd say as all the potatoes are rotting in the ground. Maybe you could make a ring from an old tractor tyre or put up a few sheets of plywood around it. Many sleepless nights with George?
Good video as usual Gerry, some tidy yard there....just wondering how the "turn over" water drinkers worked in new shed, did the bulls knock any of them off?
Philip McVeigh they worked enough. I’d like the rump bar out a little more to stop them shifting in it. Apart from that they work well
Tidy yard Gerry. I was thinking if you hung a rubber flap on a length of round bar across the rails of the chopper it could be pushed in easily as you empty the chopper.
I was also surprised you didn’t give the 995 more heat. That single glow plug on the inlet manifold needs at least 30secs to heat enough to release the diesel.
Hugh Marcus I never heard it as all. Should have.
A suggestion for you to ponder young man. Consider making a skip or buying a tip skip that would go under the chopper so the chopped beat is chopped into the skip and not to the floor. And if you make it right you can use the JD telehandler to to pick it up and empty it. Good video young man!
Good old DB 😊. It's a fair beast is that chopper! Think your right about putting a bit of rubber on the front, save having to gather up all the bits.
Do you factory your cattle in the north or south?
Not hard to start unless you heat it
Unless you don’t heat it you mean.... a lot of these browns had no heater fitted. Neither had this one until recently
Hi there was that a wee massey 135 i saw there with a loader when u were starting the brown?
Mikie Kearney yes it is. 165. Here for repair. Might do a walk round on it
Good old db I had a 780 great little tractor love them hard as nails
Padraig Taylor were great machine
I have a 880
Good video Gerry 👍 I've said it before the David Brown design team didna build that cab doors for guys built like me an urself 🙄 little bit o hard work do the old girl some good 👍👍
Bob Paterson no that’s for sure.... I climb in and out the back of the cab 😂😂 great machine though
Great video gerry keep it up
What if you hit a stone?
john deere hope it passes through
How much are you paying for beet per tonne gerry
Great video Gerry, an absolute joy to watch.
Love the Brown, remember putting ours into 1000 pto instead of 540 by mistake, blew the ducting for the grain dryer apart 🙈😂
IG agri simple it can happen 😂
Nice video Gerry. I'm sure the cows will enjoy that load, even if there's no potatoes. How's the baby doing, keeping you up at night. 👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🐂
Neusa C yes been some sleepless nights for first few weeks but getting easier last few days. Thank fully.... 🙏
Try putting a bit of easy start in her to see if that helps it does well with my Ford 3000
Congrats to ye ,great video
That David brown is in great shape, have you done any restoration work to it or is it all original
David Sullivan painted the wheel rims. Everything else if original
Very interesting keep it up gerry
Where do ya get the beet

shane O neiil John Deere 6930, 6420s, 2850, and 2130 thats been restored. Have David brown 995 and a David brown 990. And the telehandler

paddygoesracing 👍😊👌
Did you ever finish your 2130 restoration you where doing 3 years ago?
nick Lad not yet. Never got back to it. Done the 2850 last year instead. It’s on the cards. Videos will be made when we get back to it.
I just happened to see the video of it and never seen you drive it. There a savage tractor for there size them
nick Lad yes we’re ahead of their time. Miss having it around. Think if you look back you should see it in some early videos
Dose the beet go off when it's chopped
James's ag life it could if it was copped for a number of days
Great video how's the new born? Could you extend each side out a bit more and some sort of removable front? Or a old skip/box to catch the beet/potato in like the potato box's they load you with? Try your idea first sounds cheaper🤔thanks 👍
Why don’t you just throw your best into the diet feeder does the same job
Ciaran O Donovan wont chop it enough in the feeder
Ares does it fine different feeder tho
Ciaran O Donovan it depends on which mixer you have
👍🏻👍🏻
Doyler 1979 👍👍👍
How could you doubt the DB.... Sure she`s a great tractor !
I agree I had db 880 once and she did Plowing no bother but she’s gone now
Turn it around, cut the bracing and wood the bracing to the other side, Gerry.
