My mom passed away a week ago from cancer and Covid this song brought tears to my eyes it’s been such a hard year but remembering her decorating the tree with us and our last Christmas together 2019 brought a smile to my face

I was during Christmas time in the Provo MTC when David Archuleta came to sing. I was feeling a little discouraged because a close relative of mine back home had been in intensive care for three weeks, not knowing if he would make it or not. Being a continent away from my family during that difficult time was painful. And then, he sang and wanted to shake every missonary's hand. I felt valued and loved. He made that Christmas for me. Thats the type of guy he is.

I ran a Christmas radio station this past holiday season. When this song came out, for our two-hour Christmas music shows, I played this song first and ended with it too. Gotta give credit where it’s due and this was an excellent Christmas song.
David wrote 3 original Christmas songs on his album, Winter In The Air, a few years back that are terrific as well. Give them a listen when you get a chance.

Thanks for not saying it was a bad year or an awful year. Crazy is a very fair way to describe it, because it encompasses the good and the bad that people have had! Many people saying it was such a terrible year, but for me it was the best year of almost my entire life! So thank you David for recognizing both!

@@TC-bh3bi I know your question was for the author of the comment, but I wanted to reply to it because my feelings are somewhat similar to what the person wrote. I am very much aware of how so many people struggled with everything that happened in 2020, especially with the pandemic. My heart and respect go to them, and even more to those who had to work like crazy despite (or because of) the circumstances, as well as to those who lost health or someone they loved. But personally speaking, 2019 was such a hard year for me that when 2020 came forcing me to stay home and away from people, it also allowed me to (and made me) slow down and recover from what I had been through the previous year. As weird as it may sound, all that staying home and alone helped me heal mentally, emotionally and physically. It also provided me with time to do things I really enjoy doing, but didn't have the time to do before. I understand most people hating 2020 (although I find it funny that people seem to believe all this mess was a year's fault), but I believe I'm not the only one who ended up finding peace and healing in the middle of all that storm. I hope it doesn't sound disrespectful to those who lost so much, cause I definitely don't mean to do that. Anyway, may this new year bring wonderful things to us all ❤️🙏
