I have a 2013 c250, Ordered the handle off of Amazon. This video helped a-lot and I used a Dremel, nothing broke. Mercedes part was $960 the kit off of amazon cost me $25.00. total time to repair was about 1.5hrs. Thanks for the video
You were very helpful with this demonstration with the panel my handle broke you made the fixing worth it plus saved a few hundred bucks doing it myself thank you once again!
@@Roadshopaudio , The project went very well. It took me about 1.5 hours, and your video simplified the steps I needed. The door handle I purchased was solid aluminum from Amazon and fits perfectly. Thanks again. 🙋♂
Thanks for the video. I just still can’t comprehend all these hassle for removing a door handle. Screw Mercedes for designing a weak handle like this. Even a Japanese car don’t break like that.
I had to fix a broken door lever, but cannot locate the two T30 torx screws. Any idea where to buy replacements? I can't find specific information on those two t30 screws. Thank you in advance.
I would just add any type of screw that has the same tread. Same size just different head. Maybe a Phillips screw. Take one out of other side and head to your nearest hardware store.
Great video!!! Only problem I had is when I put the new handle and pin in, the handle was still loose and wobbly. Do you have any advise as to why that happened?
PLEASE HELP! I finally got everything replaced and the door panel put back on the vehicle. When I went to test it by pulling on the newly installed handle....nothing. I hear the cable being pulled, but the door does not open. Tried locking and unlocking (both electronically with the panel buttons and by manually pushing down the lock pin and pulling at back up), still nothing. Pulling on the door handle will pop up the lock (which I believe indicates that the handle/cable are working properly?) but the door does not open. Door opens fine from the outside, so the un-latching mechanism works. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED, THIS WAS A MJAOR PAIN AND I WOULD HATE FOR IT ALL TO BE FOR NOTHING :(
Remember that little piece that will break really easily, guess what I broke it 😩 what is it for and how can I fix it or replace it? Thanks for the video
You can try adding an aftermarket fastener. They sell them on Amazon. Otherwise just call the dealer and order the exact one. Honestly might not need it as long as you have the main screws that hold the door tight. Those are just extra fasteners to keep the door extra tight to prevent any type of noise.
@@LaneyaWiles a very strong super glue (you can find in any hardware shop).. Be careful you need to give the glue some time to dry before you put it back in. Like 2 hours.
Thank you! I watched a few videos on this and was wondering if drilling an access hole would work instead of removing all the plastic screws and clips.
The two screws/torques your removed do not need to come off my panel to remove nor the speaker cover. I hate old plastic it breaks annoying hey. I have read alot of ppl drillout the plastic melted tabs aswell dremmel.

That’s awesome! Good to hear, I’ll try and put out more content like this.
Didn’t work for me ;(

Awesome! Happy to hear it was helpful.
Thank you for the video . I will get started on the exact same project 🤙
Awesome how did it go?

To fix handle you must break door. Got it 👍🤪 🤣
Over time plastic gets brittle, especially after a decade... time deteriorates everything, including your bones ;)
😂😂😂
Great video. I was able to replace the handle on a 2014 C250.
Where's your shop, that's what I need replaced on my C300. Great job!

I did this and new door handle stays loose and door won’t open from the inside 🥺
What can you use instead of the handheld drill to get those white things off?
Drill them out or cut them but I would say a dremmel looks the fastest and easiest
Use cutting piliers.. or clip pliers.
I completed the repair and used cutters not side cutters and let me tell you I wish I had a dremmel.
Yea I would say dremmel is the easiest and fastest way.
This is so much work for the door handle. The dealer wanted 500 in Orlando for it. I said nah lol

Aftermarket parts are never perfect. I would have to check it out in person to see what can be done.

@@markbailey8549 very frustrating
did you ever do it? you probably forgot to put the cable in the little cable strainer/tentioner
@@nastyG184 That's exactly what happened. I got it fixed, thank you!

So I just glued the old handle and it's working fine for 2 years now. Cost = 1 $
Hopefully, I can do this when I open mine up. What kind of glue did you use?

Sweet!
Where did you buy the replacement?
easily available on eBay and Amazon
This isn’t the right way but I just drilled a hole through the top and pushed the pin not all the way out then pushed it back in. Done in 10 minutes

Smart but risky
Where did you get the kit for that
Amazon
@@Roadshopaudio do u still have the link for it?
Where do you get the inner door handle?
Mercedes is not supplying the handle but the whole pannell for )7000
Amazon
Thumbs up

Is this a joke ? You have no clue of what you're doing and you keep breaking things.
Old plastic mate
Yup, old car= old plastic, near the window=sun making things brittle, not to mention it’s winter time and plastics break easier in the cold.
These break all the time and dealer wants you to buy the whole inner panel for $ 825.00 - this is a great work around
