- GSX Pro has evolved constantly, albeit slowly since it's initial release but now finally after almost a year or so of teasing, we have passengers that board the aircraft and take their seats for the flight!
It's an epic boost of immersion in Microsoft Flight Simulator, and in this video I discuss an important installation point you need to know about, and it's current limitations.

For anyone confused, the config menu is in the installer. Open the live installer (where you update GSX) and click on the "config" button and check the box on the bottom right where it says FENIX B2 under "seated passengers". I spent forever looking for this option in the GSX options menu.
I do not have FENIX B2 inside of that box. The box is blank, and I have version 3.1.3 installed. What I'm I doing wrong?

No one has their oversized carry on luggage trying to jam it into the overhead compartments; now that WOULD be immersive!

I like it a lot! But in VR the passengers aren't visible from the cockpit when looking back.
They will also disappear if the cockpit door shuts. Works great non VR!
As much as GSX can be frustrating, it does add to the sim. I wish they would address their own vehicles driving through one another, as well as passengers. Not talking about static vehicles that likely isn’t something they can address, but why cant they set parameters to keep their own from running into one another
I read that they use msfs engine to drive vehicles around and they just call the sim events so not much they can do unless they go for an all new external vehicle engine
Idk what's frustrating about it, maybe i have been lucky. I've been using it for a long time and never encountered any catastrophic situation with it... . The only thing i can think of being off-putting is the damn UI, but that's on MSFS.
People always have something to complain about. Why don't you start coding yourself? Be happy it's there instead of nothing.

Gsx rn is extremely stable and a lot of changes have been made for the community. Must have without a doubt

@radialb1894 ha ha, yeah more than likely. I have never re installed GSX since I bought it it was so full of bugs
I just tried it in VR and performance was fine
Performance in VR from 45 to 28 in the cabin with full pax
I lm lucky I guess it had no impact at all on my FPS. The sim load time seems a lot worse though
I hope their electronic devices are in flight mode.
Its a great feature but it's still buggy. Worked fine first go then I asked for 150 passengers but only 20 came to cabin. Also, at nighttime all the passengers go dark. Good fun when it works.

Looks like a great way to enhance the realism. I enjoyed your video, especially being scared with the girl in the next seat. I also found amusing the lady who looked like she was trying to take a "dump" on the seat forward of your position. The only thing that seemed missing was nobody had carry-on bags to be stored in the overhead bins. I guess that will be for a later upgrade.

is there any function key /s (( Any tutorial ))? In addition is it suitable to flyby wire A320 aircraft ? or only (fenix A320) how to get the fenix A320 leviers? Thx. a lot
Umberto should have added a “sliding bar” to the options menu so you could adjust the level of D.E.I “offensiveness” to the pax variety….you know exactly what I mean…….
Maybe some sort of collision factor added to each of the models so they don't glitch through each other buy that could come with future updates .... one thing I'd like to see with GSX is when they are boarding the plane you never see a smooth flow of passengers boarding ... there is always a backlog and queue on the stairs leading up to tye aircraft
GSX is a nice addon, however its still buggy! PAX walking on jetways feet below the jetway walk level...why only Fenix 320?
That is not a GSX fault but a clear sign that the scenery/airplane is not set up as it should. The good thing is that GSX is giving you the tools to set it all right. Expecting that everything should be working out of the box with tons of addons and sceneries available is far off reality.

Cool stuff definitely. GSX must up their game significantly if many of these animations will be default in 2024! Facial appearance in 2020 is still an immersion killer for many despite the improved ground animation features. Facial textures I believe will be better in 2024 as ambient occlusion rendering appeared better in the 2024 trailer.

For performance reasons passenger visibility is triggered by the flight deck door; door open- pax visible, door closed- pax disappear. PMDG really need to give us an operable flight deck door, how hard can it be… 🤔
neat feature but i was hoping after all this time they'd add the cleaning and water truck and synchronized GPU and air-conditioning connection from jetway. We'll see. It's buggy on my end. Unhandled exception!!

Passangers get spart from airplane modle once seated. When you close the cabin door it removes them to save fps

just a foot note if you purchased your planes through market place the passengers will not be sitting in their seats .you need to buy your planes direct for seated passengers

When in the cabin I see the passengers come in and sit down, and they remain there. From the cockpit view they walk in sit down and vanish. Any ideas?
** ok, I just had a mess around and this problem is only while in VR. The passenger's are in the cabin in pancake mode while looking from the cockpit, if in VR and looking from the cockpit they dissappear once seated.
Not sure if the dev will see this.

From what I and others have found, no significant hit to fps beyond what Fenix/GSX already provided
so i did the update and came across the disappearing passengers bug. i did what you said but it gave me an “unhandled exception” error. reinstalling doesn’t work and now the options in settings for fenix are greyed out, so it doesn’t work properly anymore. 🤦🏻♂️ i’ve signed up to forum for help but have to wait for admin approval. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
update: the exception error is gone but the untick and tick method doesn’t fix the problem for me. passengers still disappear when seated.
The passengers vanish as they sit. Always issues
Prior to the Fenix updates I had the seated passengers option in GSX. Now after pressing the config in GSX, the seated passenger options is no longer shown in GSX. All are up to date with the latest versions.
it'll be worth maybe uninstalling your GSX and re-installing it fresh then as it's definitely still there for me still (just checked)

Ok wait a minute. I saw a couple of passengers boarding my 777 and when I did a quick run in the airport, the same passengers were still in the airport !! Oh for those thinking it takes long sometimes for the people to get in the plane, you can increase the SIM rate. It's not only useful for flying. :)
What is the point if it's only compatible with a single aircraft?
Just bought this. And I have a lot of clipping with the vehicles. Does it only work smoothly on payware airports? Most times things don't show up. And have to click gsx twice. Do they not load bags and fuel at the same time?
It all usually requires custom gsx profiles for it to be smooth but the vehicles are still "dumb" MSFS vehicles and drive through buildings or across runways etc 😅

@@markjackson5333 most likely yeah or GSX will simply try and identify taxiway lines and use a generic logic for it
One of the passengers took a exit row seat in the Fenix A320, hehehe.
It’s not necessarily, but makes the sim pretty immersive.

I have installed showing GSXPRO 3.0.0 Installed but I get a Unhandlled exception warning box with Value cannot be null error, App shows seated Passengers Loading airplanes..... then blank
Yes i have the same problem . Deleted gsx pro and reinstalled . FSDT Installer ran and i was able to click on enable passengers but passengers still do not sit in seats just disappeared . Tried again and the error appeared again NULL ERROR . No other problems Fenix A 320 runs perfectly. OBVIOUSLY a serious bug somewhere.

Yeah works great, and my fps didn't seem to suffer. The only issue I have is I can't see them from the cockpit
lol this is only a feature with the Fenix A320, which really makes no sense. I have to buy another product from another developer for $60 just to use this feature for GSX, which I already bought and paid for? That's kinda absurd if you ask me. Don't get me wrong, I'll patiently wait until this is released for the PMDG product line, for example, but not sure the strategy here.

4:14 I cheked the box and requested boarding. but no seated passengers. they would walk in but disappear in the cabin

I want to go back to the previous version this one is rubbish. Blank options with no aircraft to select from. Passengers no longer showing boarding via jetway. CTD at pushback.

Unfortunately its a program that runs outside the sim so can not be integrated with the Xbox version of MSFS

@@pm110978 yes and no. It HAS some impact on FPS but if you close the cockpit door they wont be rendered any more. There is only rendering when you open the cockpit door. Happy with that.
Many commented here, and when i read those silly negative coments, i just laugh 🤣. Imagine you buy a opel car and want to drive on the highway then you complain why your car is so slow.... if you have a cheap CPU and GPU and you dont use M.2 SSD and DDR5 +6000 RAM, dont be silly, then upgrade your PC. What can the GSX Developer do in your case? If you play such heavy games, upgrade your PC. I myself have RTX 4090, I9-13900K, M.2 7GB/Transfer, DDR5 6000MHz, and GSX Pro works perfectly, no stutters, i tested the new function, works all fine, no issues. But if you have crap PC, then you have crap experience. And for sure GSX is not perfect, but it brings life to the sim and it gives very high immersion.

GSX does not play nice with other add-ons, buggy as hell. GSX takes no ownership and states it functions as intended. I've installed and uninstalled it 3X now because of the mess it makes. I'd be interested in an update that appreciates GSX operates in an ecosystem with other software.

It’s pronounced as “fee-nix”, similar to phoenix. Hence why their logo looks like a phoenix
I've gone through this a ton. One of their own Devs spent 4 months saying "fen-ix" in voice chat so I often keep saying that even though I keep meaning to say phoenix... But similarly, this isn't a video about pronunciation of a word. People can and do pronounce things differently to one another in this global community

They put this crap in yet won't fix the crashes when trying to use GSX in the sim, sometimes it will work then do the turn around flight, and it will crash, or you do another flight from a different location, and it won't work at all. Worst add-on I have ever purchased for MSFS 2020

It makes a difference in VR without a doubt, it will be even better once they improve the modelling. I get that there is no point for flat screen users, as you cant really see what's around you.
