Thanks so much for playing our game! When we set out to make Kawa, we wanted to capture a bit of that "chill day by the river" vibe. Happy to see that's the mood that's coming across, even if it might not be for everyone!
With that said, if you want a crunchier game, we'd recommend putting together specials like the Abandoned Katana or the Eel, which make the pathing puzzles much more complex >:)
In 209 board game reviews I think this might be the only time I've seen him need to correct himself on a wrong rule.
Seems like a nice, chill game. Something good to play with people who don't want/comprehend much complexity, but yeah I see how that's not something everyone wants.
Kind of reminds me of Tsuro with the moving paths!

I was looking in the comments section for someone to mention this. The moving tiles and theming make Kawa a unique experience despite the similarities though.
Sounds like a good game to play if you're just looking for conversation and chill time with friends
I like the idea and I love the art and the petals and animals, but it does look a bit simple. If I understand it, it's prolly too simple, lol. I see lots of room for expansion/improvement, so I hope they consider it.

Based on the video, I kinda like this one. Seems like a good game to destress with while hanging out with friends after a long day.

The volume in your videos is always low for me, I have to turn my computer volume to max to hear anything, but this one is even lower than it normally is. I can barely hear anything you are saying unless I'm leaning right up near my speakers.
And then half way through I remembered I had a set of headphone I never use because of ear troubles and STILL had to turn my volume up to max but at least then I didn't have to lean forward.

@@Middenikov I actually had a hearing test done this morning, which was a follow up to another test done last month. I have normal hearing in my left ear and slightly below average hearing in my right with a delay in the signals between ear and brain. I need an M.R.I. scan next to see if we can find the cause.
It is probably my speakers because even with my left ear I can't hear anything.
Thing is I can play music off UA-cam and watch various other creators at half volume and hear just fine but for here and a few other creators I have to go to max to hear anything and this video in particular was very low for me.
Is this really a board game? You have 2 types of cards and they shuffle. The rest is only to help counting stuff. The "board" is not static nor the switching tiles is rare. its a main feature of game. Say what you want, its a card game and could be played with 1-ace deck (or rather part of it)

@@dumbbass8867 I see. I'm just trying to get more people playing 1830 and 18xx. Lots of neat games based off the core system and very compelling gameplay.
