The bee gees will always be the best in the world n should not be treated this way not right not fair. People jealous of the talent. Theyl remain the best forever. N we proud of our neighbour hood boys from Manchester. Massive hugs to all them, go boys u deserve the best. Keep it going barry know you know you're pain , rob n mo will be so proud up there. Godbless them .❤❤❤
Absolutely love the Bee Gees and I loved them in the 70's,the brothers captivated me and I've loved them ever since right up to the last album in 2001...so much talent and they new they had something special and didn't give up...always in my heart and the music will play on...
I ALWAYS loved my Bee Gees and I didn't care who laughed at me in the USA. I moved to Europe in 87, and was so happy to find so many Bee Gees fans. They kept right on loving them and all their music no matter what the era. Being a total Robin girl, it was also great to find how much they loved all his solo work too. You hear him and the Bee Gees on the radio all the time. :)
I believe they were always more loved in the European countries, I have read quite a few video clip comments and it is amazing how many younger people love them too. I'm a fan since I first heard them on the radio in Germany. Lost track of them whilst having a young family, but picked up late eighties. I love their work from before they moved back to England as well. To think how young they were to write that beautifully. Live in Australia now, and whenever I find a cd from their earlier works I'll get it. So wish their would be more available.
And I also find it so sad that they still have to justify their work of the so called disco era. You can clearly see how hurt they are, even Barry still now can't understand it. To me they are and still is, the most polite and humble people during interviews and dealing with their fans.
@@christelgrimmer4478 Yes, it's true they are more accepted here. That whole 'I hate disco' thing never happened. I was so upset about that. People I knew actually had "Shoot the Bee Gees" tshirts. It was horrific. I was amazed when I came to live here. They are always on the radio. It's great! I love their early work as well. I have it all, except I can't find any copy of Robin's Christmas album that I can afford. I only have it on mp3.
@@christelgrimmer4478 They're all very classy. They have nothing to be ashamed of, and as we fans all know, there is no such thing as disco music anyway; just RnB that happened to be played in discotheques. I think the tide will turn because a lot of young kids in their 20's love the Bee Gees. Eventually 'disco' will come back too, so there's that! :) I wish it would. I was too young to go to clubs then, but I still loved it when I got old enough to go. I wish I could have danced the Night Fever line dance with a crowd! :) The Bee Gees will always have fans. They are too amazing to be forgotten. Nice to chat with another fan! Stay safe in Australia! 2020 has been a nightmare. Can't imagine it without Robin serenading me... :)
All their music is fabulous. It’s not fair they had to justify what they did. I loved disco. They’re brilliant. They moved with the times. Loved their music. They should be recognised for their fabulous talent and harmonies. They’re my all time favourite groups.
Barry, in my opinion the main stream media will always lie to you and to us the viewers . But we know better, your music will always live on in us and in our children, and in their children Barry , Robin, Maurice and And Andy. The great & wonderful ( BEE GEES ) Icons at best, will live on for ever in our hearts ♥️
BeeGees ,They should never be shamed of anything they did . They were the greatest group of all times ,and their music Will live forever.I think there Are younger people who are listen too their music today.Much of the music today is trash i think.
What a great injustice! The Bee Gees were great in every decade. In 1978 I was finishing college and I remember that all Fridays after school, me and my class went to the clubs in my small town, and we danced until the dawn. Bee Gees, all the time! It was an unforgettable moment. I do not understand the criticism he received. They were the best musical group in five decades. I will continue to listen to music while I exist ... Maurice and Robin, what a miss! Barry, we're cheering for you!
Sad that people are so ignorant not to be proud of these young men. Never will forget them and hope Barry will continue...making music. Thanks for this on the BeeGees
That's my favorite too! Also 'Closer Than Close.' Maurice! The Bee Gee who was 'caught in the middle, of a complicated plan.' To me, he came across as the peace-maker of the group.
In my opinion those critics were so jealous. We appreciated and love their songs, it was not the Saturday Night movie that we went crazy to watch it. It was the Bee Gees performing/singing the song that we got so excited, we said it's the Bee Gees!!! Let's watch it again because of their song that's so good to dance with and sing over and over again. It's just that good. Period.
We Americans , love you 😘 BEE GEES don't believe everything the main Stream media tell you. They are just jealous that you have so much success and that you are loved ♥️ everywhere , by billions of people. No other group has done so much like you have ( Icons at best )👍🏼♥️🇺🇸🇬🇧♥️👍🏼
Fever was just a bit of music in a long long path of music before and after Fever. The Bee Gees are the most versatile band the word has ever seen. Look, here we are in 2021 and the Bee Gees music still fills the air waves. Now we are privileged to hear Barry's new music path, that is simply outstanding. The brother's Gibb proved all the negative people very wrong...They should have screamed from the roof top, HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW!!.. Because we loved brother's Gibb and Barry's new music and writing is as always , a treat for the soul.🦋❣
The Bee Gees were great no mater what and deserved more than they got. They gave the world the gift of beautiful music and to those of us that can appreciate it we were blessed, I feel sorry for those who cannot for you have missed out on something truly magical.
What other group can say they reached SUCH a saturation point that many people started to hate them? THAT is an amazing feat in itself!! To be a group with such phenomenal success (once they had FIVE of the top ten hits on one list!! Hit song after hit song, number ones, a musical era that congers up thoughts of YOU when brought up at any given time). On one had, it was terrible, but on the other hand...WHO else can say that?!?! :) #beegees #foreverfan
I am so happy they didn't give up and an ignored the media and found their way anyway in spite of the ignorance of some of the people who tried to push them out. I love them soooo much and I've learned to never give up because they are such a great inspiration to me. I'm 67 years old and I love my Bee Gees!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love the “disco era” as much as the hippi era with the folk songs and protest songs it was all a part of growing up I grew up through the 50s Elvis the platters etc. and the 60s with the Beatles BeeGees Bob Dylan, Joan Biaz etc. I got married in 71 and also loved the disco scene. It was great to go out dressed up and dance. Many people feel the same as myself. I think what the industry did to The Bee Gees after that era was terrible. They were tremendously talented. Writing hit after hit. Love an appreciate good music and The Bee Gees gave us Damm good music!,
OK, America is more stuffy than any other country, let's admit it. Who knows why. Even our own talent does better overseas. Crazy! Thank God the fans stay true and realize immense talent when the see and hear it. Yes, Bee Gees!!!!!!!!!!!
I could never understand why the BeeGees persisted with America. The were hugely popular in every other country in the world. Today here in Australia where they lived for many years I hear them on the radio in 2024. Europe adorded them as did the Japanese. I prefer their pre-disco and post-disco songs to be honest. I was born in the 70's and remember the dico era. I still can't figure out what was so wrong with disco. Anyone that doesn't love the Bee Gees simply because they are associated with disco is missing out. People will come around one day...maybe after they are all gone, unfortunately, but it is starting to happen.
Why do all the interviews always give such crap questions over and over. It is no wonder that they got to avoiding them so much. I would. The Bee Gees are the most incredible group of talent ever, and we are blessed with their music. They changed with the times and were true to their own sound. Gifted songwriters who could write in about any genre for a wide variety of talented musicians. I miss Mo and Robin, but I'm very glad that Barry is still alive and well and sharing his talents with the world.

Love the Bee Gees. Barry is a genius. However, I don't understand why they couldn't admit to themselves that some of their songs/singles were just underwhelming. It happens. To every artist.

Same with Andy. Instead of focusing on his career, he was asked more questions about his brothers.
As Barry once told his brothers, "We're either gonna end up as criminals, or we're gonna end up being famous." Being famous can come in two categories: folks know who you are, and love your music. Or folks know who you are, but don't like your music. You're still famous.

NO WAY THIS ONLY THE SUMMER OF 1987 WHAT HAPPENED? YOU WIN AGAIN IS THE BEST SONG EVER 😉😊

I think this is at Robin's house in Miami Beach ???
Yes
Love the Bee Gees. Barry is a genius. However, I don't understand why they couldn't admit to themselves that some of their songs/singles were just underwhelming. It happens. To every artist.

Indy bands have come & gone & had huge success.
But , never got radio play.
Force feeding a handful of artists to listeners has caused radio to lose nearly all its listeners with the exception of morning radio personalities.
Ils sont fabuleux c'est dommage qu'il y est 3 frères de décédés merci les gars 🙋

As a life long Bee Gees fan, I can say that the Saturday Night Fever songs are simply on a different level than most of what the Brothers did either before or since. My issue with Fever is that the Bee Gees had so liittle to do with it. They should have written and performed most of that soundtrack, not only 4 songs. Realistically, though, they've done countless great songs, but have never improved or even equalled the Fever stuff.

@01livingeyes what music video was that with all the dancing girls?
Justificar porquê? Acho que foi o John Lenon quem ""preparou as perguntas"...afinal Lenon não gostava de nossos amados BEE GEES...💖💖💗
I have never understood the anger toward disco---its just another type of music like any other.
Meanwhile,as an example, dj's were pushing Madonna and we were forced to listen to her over and over on the radio for years, so what's the difference? I often wonder if it was because the Bee Gees were British and the American music moguls didn't want them to be too successful in the US, even though they lived to Miami.
