I actually did end up buying the Business Company VR white overhangs for the Quest 2 and they have been working very well. Was really glad to re-use my vive strap that i got for my original Quest

Most underrated vr account on UA-cam
they are great, the vive strap makes the Quest infinitely more enjoyable to use, only issue i have is the faceplate never snaps into place properly, unless i have the headset on it will fall off, it makes the whole thing feel a bit cheap.....still much better than not having it but i really hope the Quest 3 just comes with something similar out of the box.

How long did it take for the adapters to get to where you are?

There's nothing wrong with it. To me it refers to its purpose, it's honest and professional if you have an issue with that your a consumer with low standards.

Here in Canada it costs 130$ plus taxes. But I found an old 50$ Amazon gift card in my wallet and my brother has a 3d printer so I got it for only $80 CA. I also added a 3d printed support for external battery. I got 2 batteries to switch whenever one is empty. I have never had to stop playing because I hand no more juice lol. And the weight of the battery balances everything perfectly.
Btw, Sebastian, I recommend you get a 3d printer. There are so many mods and accessories you can get for cheap. It will give you more content and we would know what is worth buying/printing for us 😉
It's the year 2030. The hottest VR products in town are the Microsoft Hololens One Series Z, Faceless Bookonly Quest 5 and Valve Index 2.999. Nobody makes the perfect straps. However, there is always hope. A small VR accessory specialist company called HTC is still making their legendary product, the Deluxe Audio Strap, after it first started production 15 years ago...

I use same solution and I'm really happy with it!
I've done this on my Quest 2, it works great.

I was just looking at my Vive Deluxe strap and was wondering if this was possible, I just bought the adapter and if it works as well as I hope, I'm immediately returning the elite strap and the Bobo strap I bought to test. I'm keeping the Kiwi strap though as backup. Also, the Kiwi battery strap works on the Deluxe strap as well.

I had a vive cosmos that broke and I was figuring since I just got a quest 2 why not replace the stock vive head strap onto the quest, point is, if this is answered, does this mod require the deluxe audio or can I just take the basic vive head strap and slap it onto the quest 2?
You would for sure also need those 3d printed adapters.

Did this to my recently acquired Quest 2, however I find that the volume the Deluxe Audio Strap goes to with the Quest 2 is insufficient. With both system and Oculus volume at 100%, it's pretty much at the very minimum volume I would want. My CV1 Rift got much much louder. 70% volume on it was louder than 100% with this setup.
did you check it was turned up to max on your computer?
What will be my mic because plugging in audio makes the built in mic cancel?

Great video thanks. Can you suggest a good battery? I have the DAS already so think it's the best solution for me but worry about which battery is best, does it have to have usb c output to deliver full charging capability?
The G2 now needs a similar head strap upgrade
I live in Sweden. And all the Swedish tech stores no longer sell this head strap. If I want to buy it from Amazon it will cost around 220 dollars because of the shipping.. I just want a better strap. The stock strap is horrible. I want to buy the elite strap with battery. But I really don't want it to snap. I feel like ocoulus would've fixed the problem now, but I can't really find anyone that confirms this.

@@1985dafydd I have Byerdinamic MMX 300 expensive headphones. When I play Quest 2 I don't give much importance to the sound lol
I'm gonna guess this mod is more for comfort than better sound
@@connax I've got mine setup now. The sound is pretty good, better than stock and easier having them attached to the strap than using separate headphones. Also a lot more private. I noticed in bigscreen on the q2 that when streaming there would be feedback from other players due to the their mic picking up the loud speakers on the headset so having headphones solves that issue as well. I've used velcro tape to attach a battery towards the back of the top strap of the DAS and get about 5+ hours of movie watching out of it and it doesn't feel uncomfortable. Comfort wise in general it is a big improvement on stock but I still feel lile the facial interface that comes with the headset is a bit uncomfortable so will be looking to get a vr cover replacement once in stock. I hope it plays nice with the mod as the glasses seperater was a no go once the top strap adapter was fitted. Overall, if you have a DAS already it's 100% worth getting the mod and an extra battery. I haven't tried the elite strap so can't comment if it's better or not. If I got one I'd definitely be looking at some headphones that attach directly to the strap as well.
I would pay 100 just for the comfort but idk, man. Traumatized from that first experience in the Q2
You can tighten that floppy headphone with a little screwdriver. need to take the foam off tho. I have one of these + the Wireless adapter on my classic Vive (plus a big 20k mah battery pack strapped to that) I will be putting the same setup (minus the Wireless Adapter) on my Quest 2 when I finally get around to buying another DAS

Im worried about my 67.5 / 66.5 ish ips making the quest fov bad and making it blurry …also for a battery I own a small 6000 capacity ihome one I’m gonna Velcro adhesive to the back of the DAS

Nope, this channel is all about showing and reviewing VR hardware. So if it's great it's great, if not then not. I try to show great stuff most of the time though.
This mod costs the same as the whole headset. Misunderstanding. For that just buy HP Reverb G2.
The reverb G2 has an even worse strap lol. The point is not to make it a G2 but a quest 2 which has actually good comfort and audio. This mod is also commonly done on the reverb g2

Quest 3 is needed ASAP, or a good alternative that doesn't cost 5 times as much
