For the Aubika one featured first here, I had those snap twice on me so far, definitely getting a better one next time
Thamks i realy needed them 😊
I really appreciate that you show the exact weight of those straps, wish more reviewers would do that. Looking forward to see reviews of Quest 3 stuff on your channel!
Yep, it’s gonna get busy in the VR space again! 😊
Really good review thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
"Aubika Head Strap with Battery" - I've had two of the knobs break on me, so shopping for another now (why watching this video). I recommend others be aware of the knob breaking. It's a bummer, as the everything else is fine. I will be paying more this time, but for hopefully good reason. Cheers! Thanks for the video!
Sorry to hear about your head strap issues and hope this video helps you pick a new one.
Hey do you have any suggestions for ear buds/headphones that can fit with the kiwi head strap?
If you're looking for good low-latency earbuds then I'd suggest checking out the Soundcore VR P10 earbuds. I did a review on them here ua-cam.com/video/TE9pcv4vShs/v-deo.html. Most headphones should be ok unless they're super large ones. I use the Logitech G Pro's. I did a review on those too which you can check out here ua-cam.com/video/DS-WyaZNONU/v-deo.html Hope that all helps! 🙂
I have a question for anyone willing to reply. So you know that charging your headset while playing is bad for it right? Well I was wondering, is that what a battery pack is? Just a “portable charger” or does the headset take the charge directly from the battery pack kind of like a second battery? This may sound confusing but if you understand what I’m trying to say please respond and let me know 🙏
It’s like a secondary battery pack. Same principle as if you have a fully charged phone but have it plugged into a power bank. It will use the reserve power first, then use its own power if that makes sense
@@MilkDrinkerVD so it’s not just a charging the internal battery?
@@potatogod3465 Once the power bank is dead, it’ll start using the headset power
@@MilkDrinkerVD ok
@@MilkDrinkerVD thanks
great video thanks for this
No problem Tabz. Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Thank you. Im buying kiwi comfort design for gorrila tag. Thank you... Again 😅😅
You’re welcome. Enjoy! 😊
I looked at the reviews and they were ok. I might just wait until I find a good battery strap.
Would you say the weight of the bobo is an issue at all? I’m torn between that and a non battery kiwi. My main concern is the weight and the head wobble
OK, well I ended up started to write an essay replying to this as there's a lot of variables to consider! So, I've paired it back to the short version here.... The weight of a battery head strap counter-balances the weight of the headset at the front so you don't notice the weight as much as you might think. If you move your head around a lot (like in fitness games) then personally I think clamshell designs are a better choice. BoboVR and Kiwi Design do battery and non-battery versions of both styles. Hope that helps! 🙂
Do you have any recommendations for Oculus Pro?
Love your videos
The headstrap it come with isn’t detachable. If you look carefully you will see it is connected to the front. If you would like you could probably just get a power bank, put it in your pocket securely and plug it into your quest.

This helped me decode on getting the kiwi battery one😊😊
Glad it helped you. Enjoy! 😊
How do you like it? Also, how's the pressure on your face?
@@TechMaestro01 way better, you can have it on full tightness and feels comfortable. Not that much pressure on your face, I play gorilla tag so I have it on a high tightness and it's perfectly fine
The extra battery is so long I can't even use it all, cause I spend about 4 hours for long session and it's still halfway through battery, not including headset battery
Also one more thing, keep in mind, if you're not going to play soon after being on it, unplug battery from headset cause leaving it in drains both batteries
Yep, that’s really the only downside to that battery strap, which I also mentioned in the video. Easy enough to unplug though. Just a bit annoying.
@@MyTechGearGaming yeah, sometimes I forget and I go back on the next day to find it dead
I went with the kiwi, because it annoys me when I have to keep adjusting the headset when I play high movement games and it seems like this is the best for me.
Also they are on sale now if you order directly from them, 46% off. The shipping is also free, but its 10 - 25 day shipping to the UK and probably other european countries so keep that in mind
Enjoy the headstrap. You’ll have to let everyone know what you think of it once it arrives.
I'm wondering 2 things about the battery head strap
I am seeing many people having problems charging the meta quest 2 while they are using it, this is also a problem for me. The cable included with the headset is simply way too small for me to be able to play while charging, even if I am sat down near the ac it is plugged into I have to bend down which is very uncomfortable. I tried using another usb a - c cable with a different usb-ac adapter I have for charging my phone but the vr headset drains faster than it can charge while using that so all it does is slow down the battery drain.
So I thought of 2 ideas just wondering if any of them would work well
1. Can it charge while playing if left plugged in with a link cable?
2. Is it possible to plug a power bank into the usb on the back of the strap and draw power from that to charge the battery of the strap? So for example could I buy kiwis power bank, attach it to the back of the battery head strap and plug it in to the battery to add extra hours? Or would I need to unplug the cable of the strap, and plug the powerbank in its place?
@@MyTechGearGaming
@AaronWOfficial you want to plug a battery into the battery head strap to charge that whilst the battery head strap then charges the Quest 2?!
that is my idea ye, i dunno if its a good idea though. in some hardware daisy chaining is fine while in others it isn't. If its not a good idea my other idea is to just unhook the strap battery from the device and have that charging via ac, and then use a seperate power bank while charging the strap@@MyTechGearGaming
You could just get the bobovr m2 pro headstrap with the twin battery pack and then you can be charging a battery whilst you’re using one, and then just swap them over.
So, I move very quickly when playing shooters. Can the battery on the BoboVR strap fall off if you move abruptly?
I did a dedicated review of the bobovr headstrap which you can check out here
ua-cam.com/video/M-n7FDKyPCA/v-deo.html it includes a battery shake test so you can see how well the battery stays attached, or doesn’t.
Idk if I was sent a faulty unit or something but I’ve taken care of my kiwi head strap since I got it for Christmas and less then a month the battery has stopped working, I love the comfort of it but why did it only last a month, it doesn’t charge and doesn’t indicate its charging, the only way I can get the lights to come on the battery is if I plug it in and then plug it into the quest (what???)
If you think you have a faulty unit then you should be able to get a replacement from where you bought it.
I wanna get the kiwi headstrap but i been seeing and hearing alot about the charging and the wire and plug. I seen that people are having trouble with charging it as the plug has to be pushed in hard and struggles to be pulled out. Also it doesnt last long either. I have the kiwi elite strap and want to extend my playtime but dont wanna burn $50 on a headstrap that's gonna break down or harm my quest. I just want some more details before i buy a headstrap
Personally I’ve had no problems with it. I did also do a dedicated review of it too that you should check out too which will help you.
@MyTechGear so you haven't had issues plugging it in or taking it out? Or problems with charging while playing?
@soulevans8966 I haven’t, no. I do prefer magnetic 🧲 batteries though, like what bobovr do, as you don’t have to keep taking cables in and out to charge and connect, and the less you can do that the better. And that applies to all electronics, not just vr head straps.
@MyTechGear oh okay, I get that. I might get the bobovr but I'm not sure yet. I eventually feel like I'll get them both but I do look at reviews intensely and I'm just stuck between the bobovr and kiwi battery strap
Oh the BoboVR head-strap wouldn’t the battery fall out when gaming? Thats my worry
I did an in-depth review of the BoboVR head strap, which includes a shake test so you can see how secure the battery is. You can check it out via the link here -> ua-cam.com/video/M-n7FDKyPCA/v-deo.html
The elite battery strap is now $44 is it worth it now
Given the quality issues that meta has had with their head straps snapping, I wouldn’t buy one. Plenty of people have bought them without issues though. Personally I just wouldn’t risk it especially as I think there are better options out there.
if im playing gorila tag or something else is the kiwi elite strap good?
It’s good for gorilla tag, or any other game. Is there something in particular you’re concerned about?
i mean is it like for exercising game like beat saber etc or relaxing games is the kiwi elite strap with battery good?
@thehenrybshow5500 it would be fine to wear for both.
@@MyTechGearGaming thank you so much you haved earned a new sub
You’re welcome. And welcome to the channel too! 😊
Can we see more Halo head straps
I’ll see what I can do 😊
I bought a 19 dollor portable cell phone charger with 4 battery cells. And i bought a low power wore just in case its to powerful and i got no complaints. My complaint would be that i had to by it cause the warranty ran out and the battery was down to a hour after a year smh 🤦 from 3n a half hours at opening.
Bro 120$? 😂😂 in Europe it only cost like 50€
Prices do change over time. If you can get it for that price that sounds like a pretty good buy! 😊
My stupid mom bought me the elite batery strap and i still regret it (i broke it on the first day) and my mom just taped it and called it “fixed”
If it broke shortly after buying it you should be able to get a replacement.
@@MyTechGearGaming wait it has waranty?
@@MyTechGearGaming how to get it
@@MyTechGearGaming it was 7 months agodoes the warranty still work
@biki_themememan5740 if it was bought new then it should at least have a 12 month warranty.
The link for the Bobovr with 2 batteries is not available. Is there another link?
It just looks like Amazon is out of stock atm. They usually come back in stock fairly quickly. You could also try ordering direct from the bobovr website.
