1953!.... I was just thinking that this auto was brand new during our late Queen's Coronation year. It makes you realize how old (or young if you prefer) it is.
We just put up the video we were shooting when the 53 austin broke down in front of the house. It's the 09 softail repair and primer video, take a look tell me what you think.
I own a 1953 Somerset , A car that was put into a barn in 1965, I was given the car ,but did give them 100.00 for it in 2018 , this year it is back on the road. mine is all original never painted had 56 thousand miles on it
@@axlsnakedog Mine ,had to have the carb rebuilt and fuel pump , also the wiring was eaten up so I replaced that with a Sparks UK one . did the seats up and headliner , It started up pretty easy but as you know I ended up replacing most of the gaskets on the engine cleaned it all up named the car JD after the woman who had owned it back then . Sad story there man , cancer , with 3 kids and husband he parked the car in the barn . Still had the the plates on it from 1965. It was all complete no rusted out floors or panel . She is peppy for a little car and brings smiles where ever she goes. I ended up doing the brakes and they work really good by the way , And all the seals . Freeing up everything cleaning up everything . She really is a pleasure to work on . Only thing I did do was added those bullet type lights in behind the 2 grilles each side of the centre grille for signals and 2 customs little lights each side of the back bumper guards for rear signals and wired up a separate signal loom with 69 GM type flasher the 2 post kind one for each side and I have the trafficator's also work also all from the centre horn switch like they would have in the day . I love driving the car . Man check out those horns ..LOLS I subbed to your channel ...Len
