5:30 Desmond how you gonna do a CBA? The implication is that there is a union to collectively bargain with. The power of a union relies on the ability to strike. With a limited college eligibility window how would the union convince all of its members, larger than any current professional sport, not to cross the picket line? They will get replacement players from the transfer portal that are unaffiliated and from the student body.
They are "students" so like any student they can drop out and transfer any time and as many times as they want, provided a school takes them. I had alot of friends who worked through college so they should be able to make money.
Only cause you enter the portal it don't mean you are going to get an offer. I wouldn't offer a 23 year or over a position when i have a young 3 star an above in my team.
1st stop the student athlete farce. CFB is a booster club for the schools, treat it as such. Contracts including a CBA should be in place. Basically CFB is a NFL farm system. NFL needs to stop freeloading. CFB has no structure they can’t even implement a rational playoff system SMH. Conferences have too much control which affects scheduling, officiating, etc. No way a D1 school should be playing a D2 JV team. It’s stupid.
Saban and Sweeney are 2 of the biggest hypocrites in college football, Nick ain’t had no problem making all the money he could, he’d think about leaving and Bama would fork over cash like a running toilet, now all of a sudden the script is flipped and he has a problem
Every person saying "Saban paid players under the table" just started watching CFB 2 years ago, I don't think you understand how low IQ you have to be to think Bama paid players, but Texas couldn't or didn't.
Definitely gotta figure out a different portal window! Anytime except right in the middle of the playoffs!!! Or let the players enter the portal find another team but stay with their current team until there teams season is over! 🤔
The real problem is this is a sport not an education. It was supposed to be extracurricular, but has turned into a profession. Your number one job in college was to get an education and sports secondary. Now education is a joke! And sports is a business! It’s all about the money. As a taxpayer, I’m supporting these schools in my state and their scholarships, it’s a joke. I’m not going to pay for some kid, who makes more money than me. Either, make it a extracurricular activity again, with no pay. Or make them pros, which they are, and give them binding contractors, and whether they attend class who cares. But don’t expect the taxpayer to pay for their scholarships and save them for real underprivileged students. But then again, college education is a joke!
Hey Coach, that rule should apply to Coaches as well, you can't leave before the season is over, including the impending bowl games you qualify for‼️I hate it when these young men have to face their bowl opposition without the coaches that led them there‼️
Stop B.S.ing people and create what college football has become in the major conferences. It is now a semipro "league" with free agency. We are talking about contracts and litigation.
Yes of course. Alabama, and only Alabama mind you, got away with paying the players without the NCAA having a clue. For 15 years. Paid them millions, no wait, make that TRILLIONS of dollars. LOL
Seems you should have one signing day ( early signing day) and one transfer portal day end of February. ( close to original signing day) and that’s it! Gets players in for spring….. but grass isn’t always greener. Your choice to leave a program or stay. All decisions have consequences, as it is in life.
I somewhat agree with nick about the part of leaving the team before the season is over, but come on man, what about coaches who do the same? How many coaches like jimbo fisher pack up their stuff and leave in the middle of the night to take another job right before bowl games? The NCAA is also to blame. They ignored this issue for way too long, and now it’s biting them in the rear end. They could’ve done something 10 years ago, but they were greedy. Could’ve made all the player’s employees and paid them all the same amount, and then whatever they make on top of that on their own is also theirs
Of course he's right. We all know he's right cause we've all been screaming for the last couple years how CFB and the portal is broken. I don't get why so many people in this comment section are actively going against what they themselves have been saying for years.
I've told people for years "You should listen to Coach Saban. He's spitting facts." And because of tribalism, fans from other teams hated him and said his words were BS. Well, he was pretty much vindicated on everything he ever said.
I need every in the comments to stay on their jobs. If better pay or opportunity comes along i need you to stay , becuase that is what is best for the company. We need rules people shouldn't be able chage to jobs any chance they get 😐
The transfer portal shouldn’t open until the national champion is decided. And at some point the NCAA needs to put their foot down and take control. They have the power at every sport except for football and it’s time that changes
The problem with the portal is the combo of portal and nil. They don’t have to sit out a year anymore. So it’s free agency every year now. It’s ruined the sport honestly. Sucks having 60 new players every year. 12 new basketball players. Sucks
No contracts for college players, I think they need to have only 1 transfer portal after soring football, but I also think you should only be allowed to go into the portal 1 tihe thats it
Which makes it a professional league. The schools should just license their name to these new professional teams. You can also attend class if you want but no special treatment and no scholarships unless purely academic. Then the schools could start over with amateur football. Again, only academic scholarships and no NIL money. The second you take money, you're off the team and out of college football.

Dude their employees just the same as the employers can say well we don’t want to play you so you’re gonna sit out.
@@Daedcicar unless there is a provision in their contract that they are allowed to leave for a new job, they will need to pay a buyout of their current contract
@JayRoberts244, what you are not saying is that it has been the schools that have refused to allow contracts, not the players
@ they don’t pay a buyout genius. They just up and leave. The same thing you’re complaining about the players are doing. I suggest you look at what a buyout is.
Stop crying. You don’t even coach anymore
And YOU aren't good enough to be the scum on the bottom of his shoes.
He was asked a question: If you can’t handle the answer don’t watch!
No one can leave till after all the playoff games are done for the year that simple
Saban chose where he wanted to go why cant these kids?
Heisman winners negotiate on behalf of players. They played and won at the highest level in college...
Nick Saber no you see what he did. He walked away from coaching after he paid players under the table. Everything was OK longer. You were paying players under the table and he know that’s how he was winning once they made it even playing field he quit or retired. Whatever one you want to say and ran up to the White House and see what congress can do but the sad part about it. You can put rules in place with Congress getting involved, but I will be watching to see how this show going to end.
Whenever something is monetized into large amounts, corruption occurs
But then Nicky wouldn't have had 4 automatic wins every season, one of which was before playing Auburn every year.😂😂
Saban and Sweeney are 2 of the biggest hypocrites in college football, Nick ain’t had no problem making all the money he could, he’d think about leaving and Bama would fork over cash like a running toilet, now all of a sudden the script is flipped and he has a problem
You are not very bright are you?
@@litedawgand you must be white with the slave master mentality
Stfu
Stop crying
Didn't he say he supports players getting paid like 3 times
@@BrandonLee-jg6hlThey been paying players forever
Right college kids were fighting to go to Alabama instead of somewhere like Hawaii. No dumb dumb the boosters paid them
Yes of course. Alabama, and only Alabama mind you, got away with paying the players without the NCAA having a clue. For 15 years. Paid them millions, no wait, make that TRILLIONS of dollars. LOL
College football is turning into a joke, they're ruining it 😮😢
Shane Gillis left Saban shook yesterday 😂😂😂😂
And he did.😂
Plus the portal doesn’t even exist. Teams are already contacting guys who aren’t even in the portal yet. So
It’s fucked
Of course he's right. We all know he's right cause we've all been screaming for the last couple years how CFB and the portal is broken. I don't get why so many people in this comment section are actively going against what they themselves have been saying for years.
Cause little Nicky is the biggest crybaby hypocrite on the set.
@MJ-rl7pj says the guy who literally spends his entire UA-cam time whining and moaning in the comment sections lmao.
Look Saban paved the way for the golden years of LSU football and I’m forever grateful, but he is so out of touch and hypocritical.
So obviously you know nothing about the portal or you wouldn't be making such an idiotic comment. Every coach says the same things.
Transfer Portal is just free agency. College Football is like European Football man. No swaps just straight up transfers and free transfers.
Please remove that obnoxious music at end of these videos!
Alabama Jones and the Portal of Doom
Indiana vs Notre Dame : cheapest seat 989$ most expensive 3900$
Saban out there lookin like The Godfather
yawwwnnn, was that supposed to be funny?
@ no idiot , it’s supposed to be a statement
I've told people for years "You should listen to Coach Saban. He's spitting facts." And because of tribalism, fans from other teams hated him and said his words were BS. Well, he was pretty much vindicated on everything he ever said.
😂😂😂 Nicky is a quitter.
Franklin is nothing but a crybaby
I need every in the comments to stay on their jobs. If better pay or opportunity comes along i need you to stay , becuase that is what is best for the company. We need rules people shouldn't be able chage to jobs any chance they get 😐
when your company actually develops people it's worth it
Nick saban got the drip on
I wonder how he got the money for all that.
Cheap labor?
So sad that you can’t make a comment on the subject of the issues of the portal or nil.
@@keymasteroz listen I really don’t care what y’all think
Why won't we fix the wild west portal rules! All I hear is people complaining about it but nobody will do anything about it!
The only problem here is him not winning another championship since the transfer portal became a thing. Now every team will have a chance
Yeah... you couldn't beat him so you changed the rules
@Legendary_UA no more hoarding 5 star athletes cause the transfer portal level the plain field
The price of freedom!! Love it!!
The transfer portal shouldn’t open until the national champion is decided. And at some point the NCAA needs to put their foot down and take control. They have the power at every sport except for football and it’s time that changes
I wish Nick Saban was the czar and picked the playoff rankings on his own too.
Would his boosters be there to help him as well?
@@MJ-rl7pj hopefully
Nick please
Put Saban on NCAA.
The problem with the portal is the combo of portal and nil. They don’t have to sit out a year anymore. So it’s free agency every year now. It’s ruined the sport honestly. Sucks having 60 new players every year. 12 new basketball players. Sucks
😂😂😂 waaa
Any player with an NIL deal shouldn't be offered scholarships and should have to sign a binding contract with the school to play football. Done.
😂😂😂Coaches can't leave either then. Done.
No contracts for college players, I think they need to have only 1 transfer portal after soring football, but I also think you should only be allowed to go into the portal 1 tihe thats it
Contracts, Salary Cap, Trades fixes all of this
Not trades
Which makes it a professional league. The schools should just license their name to these new professional teams. You can also attend class if you want but no special treatment and no scholarships unless purely academic. Then the schools could start over with amateur football. Again, only academic scholarships and no NIL money. The second you take money, you're off the team and out of college football.
@@robertd9850you sound stupid, teams have been profiting off these athletes for the last decade, now you want to take their education away when they are profit sharing, oh now their professional because they are receiving money for the fans they are putting in the seats. NIL really benefits that’s star athletes not the regular. Sit back and watch.
All for giving them contracts, but then the school has to give them some of that revenue
