Just got one last week, weight 8lbs 10oz, It neck dives like crazy, never had that issue before with a bass since none were that light. Came with Gotoh tuners, doubt changing out will solve the problem. It’s a well crafted made in Japan bass , no issues with workmanship.
Is nice to see the Aerodyne in a J/J configuration. MIJ/CIJ basses are the best you can get from Fender, IMO. I own 2 MIJ/CIJ basses, an acoustic Fender T-Bucket, and have played numerous MIM & US basses. Nothing in Fender's lineup even comes close to how well the MIJ/CIJ basses play.
Yeah...not sure on that either. The new P's are sweet though, and I always like simple. P/J versatility is always good though. Thanks for watching - Anthony
Didn't even know that the Aerodyne came in a Jazz configuration. I love the old Aerodyne PJ basses, they are probably the best Fender basses I've ever played. Would love to try one of these as well!
I have always loved the PJ Aerodyne, and this Jazz sounds amazing! I only wish that Fender would invest into creating a 5-string Aerodyne. That…would be glorious! (And for all those that worry about weight, you can be sure it would be light!)
This is a great playing & sounding bass I played one at my local music store last week, it is also a very gorgeous bass I would have grabbed it but I was there to pick up a 2021 Gibson non reverse Thunderbird bass that I had ordered, anyway the Aerodyne Jazz bass is worth consideration if you're in the market for a J bass.😀
FINALLY! Someone actually demonstrated some different tones this bass can do instead of just high speed musical masturbation. This review actually offered me some insights into this instrument.
Thanks Anthony cause of you and this video I bought me this Bass and I couldn’t be happier. I felt in love with it right away🙌🏾 keep doing your awesome videos🤘🏾
Always great info and presentation from you. Another confirmation that jazz basses are not for me. (looks and tone)...plus I prefer the oval c 1.75" nut. Great content.
That was a great review, I really appreciated the way you noodled around, different pickup mixes, up and down the neck, styles, I would be doing the same things, thanks man.
Congrats Anthony, nice sound and play as always, I look at all your vids and it's always a pleasure ! I can't remember on wich rumble amp version you play, is this the 100 or 200 ? Couldn't find back the vid where you told that...

The p/j configuration is epic.
Not sure why Fender MIJ decided to not offer this option on the new Aerodynes.

This is an amazing bass. After seeing this video I got one in California Blue.

These are the new aerodyne special series by fender. There are two strats, a tele, a p-bass and a j-bass.
I have always loved the PJ Aerodyne, and this Jazz sounds amazing!

Nothing would make me happier than a 5-string JJ Aerodyne.
That bridge pickup sounds a bit beefier than the typical j-bass. Nice.

Wow, even the bridge pup has quite a bit of low end to it. I can only imagine what this thing would sound like with some nice flats.
I was thinking more along the lines of stainless steel rounds to really spotlight that nice snap it has.
I’m ordering mine today and the first thing I’m doing is putting labella DTBs on it. Will report back in about a week.

I wonder why aerodyne basses (seem to) not get more love they deserved. For me as a modern sounding kind of bass, they are and looked good
Thanks Anthony cause of you and this video I bought me this Bass and I couldn’t be happier. I felt in love with it right away🙌🏾 keep doing your awesome videos🤘🏾
Love that bass, glad to see they did away with the Strat style jack like my 2019 Aerodyne has. Thanks Anthony!
Sucks if you’re trying to play while sitting on a bed or floor
Like the new decor and the bass.
Great review as always. When I hear 12" radius I think Gibson SG bass, so fast and comfy, and med jumbo frets!!! win win.
Will you be getting in the new Aerodyne Special Strats and Teles?
The aero dyne pj precision is awesome.
Always great info and presentation from you.

I'm known for my noodling, especially on ballads! - Anthony
Pick up sounds powerful👌🏻👌🏻
You can in fact nail a 51 P-Bass tone with the bridge pickup all the way off.
Congrats Anthony, nice sound and play as always, I look at all your vids and it's always a pleasure !

Couldn't find back the vid where you told that...
Gorgeous instrument. Sounds great too!
Damn that's a funky bass!
How does it differ from the previous black model? Is it just new pickups?
They took away the strat input jack & added a new bridge
Anthony - Great review. What about the new Aerodyne P? Would love to see your review on that one!
It's on the page.... awesome basses as well! Thanks for watching - Anthony
I’d play it
Does this model have the truss rod adjustment from the headstock's side?
Yes
Wish you would have played it with the tone turned all the way down.
The Japanese will save Fender again?
No more P-bass pickup.
Very cool !!!
