- DC and Smart Doll by Danny Choo have collaborated on a series of DC action figures, transforming super heroines into 24-inch tall, highly pose-able, anime fashion dolls. (This doll is definitely not Barbie. )Today we're unboxing the first in the series, Supergirl, dressed in a copy of the original costume worn by Melissa Benoist on the CW show. This costume can be tricky so be sure to watch how we put it on. There are more DC Smart Dolls coming and we think the next one will be Batgirl! Be sure to subscribe to see if we're able to buy Batgirl when she comes out.

Looks like we missed a small step when pulling up the top of the costume. The shoulders should be placed on top of small flaps on the cape so all you see is the cape coming out from under the costume top.

How much does the doll cost
It was a limited release but you might be able to find it on eBay or other second hand markets. It was originally ¥120,000. In the US we’ve seen it posted for $1600
I wish that I had not missed Supergirl. 😬 She is my favorite DC hero. Maybe some day she can join my team. They would not be DC, but I would like to see. Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk, Lady Death, and Danger Girl and her squad.
Lady Death would be super cool. I never read the books, but I had a tee shirt of her that I wore to death
I never was a big superhero fan, but this doll is beautiful. I actually really love the older Batman movies, my favorite is the one where Frost teams up with Poison Ivy. So I am looking foward to watch you're Batgirl unboxing.
Truth be told, I am a Marvel fan personally. I’d love to see some of their characters as smart dolls. BatGirl looks aMAZing tho, and I am looking forward to seeing which Harley Quinn we get.

Supergirl got a big price hike from Fabric Friends and Dolls. Iris didn’t get many I think. If it were me, and I really wanted batgirl but the price was high, I’d look at other options. Save or do the 4 payments from PayPal or something. (Not a financial advisor or anything so make your own decision🙂)
Iris probably has a list a mile long for batgirl.

Wow. I love that she is so natural looking. My daughter brought a Smart Doll and is making a character for her story (book). I love that Danny makes inhalers and other things so that you can customise your doll.
I hope to get a Smart Doll to create my Book Character and another one one day. Very inspirational.

Hi I have a question I ordered my first doll last 23rd of May and until now my card has no charge for it but I received a mail saying thank you and the estimate delivery is 15 days to wait do you think I should wait ?
Hmmm. You never got charged..I would email. You are well outside of the time frame. Normally you would wait but it’s been a long time.
I’m wondering if maybe your order got canceled? 🤔 We obviously don’t work for Danny, but I would think reaching out to them is the only way to find out.
John just pointed out that maybe you missed the follow up email that culture Japan sends to new customers. They confirm your contact/shipping information etc. if you don’t respond they cancel your order.
Nice video! Do you know how big smart doll feet are? I want to buy shoes off a 3rd party website but want to make sure they fit :)

Shoes can be tricky sometimes. If they don’t say that they work on smart dolls specifically. I think 7.5 length works. You can find shoes that say they are for 1/3 scale and you will usually be fine. (Occasionally they might be a little wide.) If they say they fit DD they should work but might be wide. For sneakers it’s not a problem, but heels can look a little weird if they are too wide. Also watch for shoes that say they need high heel feet. The heel feet fit into the shoes a little differently and if you don’t have heel feet they might not work.
Sometimes you can do sd13 shoes. I have a great pair of boots from Nine9 Style that are sd13 and fit perfectly. Just look around and ask the vendor if they will fit if you are not sure.
I know that’s a lot. Wish I could be more exact. Hope it helps. I usually just watch in the community and see what other people are buying 🙂
Also if you google smart doll measurements you will find a schematic made by Danny Choo giving you all the different measurements 🙂
