Fun fact: Her original origin story says she was formed out of by her mother, Hippolyta, and had life bestowed upon her by the Greek gods - making her the only Amazon not conceived by a man
And later, when George Perez rebooted her book in the eighties, it was the Greek _goddesses_ who granted Diana her powers.
Well the movie kinda combined both. Originally she was shaped out of clay and given blessings by the gods but the more modern versions usually says she's Zeus's daughter through Hippolyta.
I feel bad for both her and tangentially Donna Troy since her history is so tied with Wondie's that hers has to get rebooted and changed every decade or so

LOVED THIS! One of the most accurate accounts i've seen with one exception. The armbands being clashed together to emit a blast, wasnt the Gal version 1st, it was 1st used in the TV series (Season 3 Episode 9 The Deadly Dolphin) While in her Wonder Wetsuit underwater she used the armband blasts to ward off sharks that were trying to attack "Bluebeard" the dolphin.
