- Every year I give my kids a giant bag of thrifted items. This has become one of our favorite family traditions. Most of the items in their bags were under $8 each. I found a few items that were new with tags. I try to find things they will love! This is their reaction on Christmas morning! I'm always amazed by what you can find at the thrift store! Yay! Love the final wind down of 2023 with the Tata family thrift bags! My daughter and hubby had fun with theirs this year. And for good measure, I got our doggy a lambie… Lumpy is such an influencer😂

Nothing wrong with second hand presents. I love thrifted stuff! They got a lot of really nice clothes. When I used to buy Christmas presents Goodwill's was a must! Compare them now to when I was growing up. Now there are a ton of name brand stuff! Not so when I grew up but you could still get wonderful items. Merry Merry Christmas to you and your family! What you did for your kids remind me of my mother in law. She used to do the same thing for my kids. Unfortunately at 96 she pasted away last year. We miss her terribly.❤

My daughter bought books for my husband, westerns, at thrift stores. He got dozens of books for what a few new ones would have cost! As a bonus she also got me a bunch of books, so we both have reading material for a long time. It was so much fun that this new "tradition" will probably continue.
