As a self-indulgent 20-something I started working full-time and wondered how I could find the time to practice drawing. As a cranky jobless thirty-something I feel fed up with not putting in the effort to do what I wanted in the past, and now I want to try and push myself to try and make something. Seeing you outline your creative process and create wonderful work is a big inspiration, and I wish you the best with your work!
start now. just do it. even if you suck, and it takes forever to get good. there's no way to go but up. as long as you're being a responsible adult w/ everything outside of manga, just go for it. say f*ck it and do something you think is cool even if it comes out bad. keep doing it until you become good. we have mad info on the internet on making stories, mangas etc. if you need an intro to how to create stories, there's a youtube channel called Film Courage. they literally list what to put in a good story. use your own opinion with what they say, but they list the textbook basics/foundation principles of story telling, and you can make it your own.
there is also a manga series called manben by manga artist naoki urasawa. it's a show that films manga artists in japan while they draw chapters of their mangas. they actually show you their process. that may help too if you can find the episodes.
Man you are an absolute inspiration, I took all the wrong turns in life, studied what I didn't like and ended up doing what I hated. I'm a mechanical engineer and I even got a master in industrial administration but I absolutely despise my field. Now I'm in my mid 20s and and I'm finally picking up drawing lessons on the internet, hopefully in a couple of years I can start my part time job as a mangaka myself, self publish obviously and eventually do what I truly love for a living.

Came here for the pretty art thumbnail, stayed for your personality! I cackled so much reading your mini comments throughout the video. You earned yourself a subscriber! That aside, I love how relatable your life is such as procrastinating drawing until last minute or having a day job while drawing manga part time. Usually in these "mangaka life video", they're full time mangaka with insane drawing speed and has lots of assistants to the point you'll think "I'll never be as good as them". But your video showed how hard you work to balance your life and drawing, which is very motivating! Thank you very much!!
Man, you're goooood. The art is pro level (faces are so cute!), the story looks fan (some lines made me laugh even out of context of the manga), your translation is perfect (really! contrary to a lot of translations with proofreading by paid people on official webtoon sites). I wish you a fast and lasting success and a possibility to become a full time mangaka.
Thank you for this Mieri! I always admire ppl who draw comics bc as an artist myself who draws them for fun, I know it is a LOT of work. I'm glad you have family members who can switch off with the cooking! It really helps with the time. XD Also going straight to line art gives your manga this free-feeling I really like when I read it. That's great and admirable too. Good luck! I support you!!

That's honestly one of the most fun manga-making process videos I have watched. I really enjoyed your narration. Hope you make more videos.
UA-cam algorithm recommend this, glad i clicked on it 😁. As an comic artist/office worker i know you feeling, my comic isn't as good as yours but take a long time to make it too... 😂 I have a question, what drawing tablet do you use? If you have time, can you do setup tour? I really love seeing other artist workspace. Thanks! ❤️
The tablet is linked in the video description!
Bro, which comics you are writing
@@sleepyq_q so sorry i just checking this account! 😢 Oh yes, i am such an id*ot for not checking the description, thank you! ❤️
@@arnoygayen1984 i write comic in Webtoon, but in Indonesian language. I am not sure you can check it tho, coz i posting it at Webtoon Indonesia (sorry late reply ❤️)
@@nw9517 can I know the comic name tho? I'm interested :)
Your voice is so cute almost like a kid, i got this vid in my recommendations I’ll definitely check out your manga! Ganbare
As someone who’s had to pull multiple all nighters with art projects I can feel your tiredness through the video 😭
Omg the "are you ready?" was so cute
Man, you're goooood. The art is pro level (faces are so cute!), the story looks fan (some lines made me laugh even out of context of the manga), your translation is perfect (really! contrary to a lot of translations with proofreading by paid people on official webtoon sites). I wish you a fast and lasting success and a possibility to become a full time mangaka.
Thank you for this Mieri! I always admire ppl who draw comics bc as an artist myself who draws them for fun, I know it is a LOT of work. I'm glad you have family members who can switch off with the cooking! (The food looks amazing btw) I'm alone a lot of the time and when I worked my office job it really is impossible to find time to draw after coming home from a long commute, making dinner, shower, etc. So I'm glad you can split it. It really helps with the time. XD Also going straight to line art gives your manga this free-feeling I really like when I read it. That's great and admirable too. Good luck! I support you!!
After read the manga:
"im in spain but the s is silent"
You're hardwork and perseverance was really inspiring for us young aspirings artists. May you achieve your goal as an even more successful manga artist!!
The dedication is amazing. Having a day job, doing chores and then working on your manga, amazing! Keep it up man!
you're very hardworking. this inspires me to create manga like u someday, once I've finished highschool and college! I was feeling a bit unmotivated recently but this gave me so much motivation. thank you so much!! 💕
I wish you the best - seems rough, yet you hang in there and follow your passion for art. Hopefully you can manage a more healthy schedule in future.
i've been a long time fan of your manga and am so impressed by your work ethic!! i hope you are getting more rest and take care of your health while you balance work + chores + manga 🤍 supporting you always!!
1:13 that "are you ready" was really cute.
You have a really calming voice lol😂
This just came into my recommended, and now I'm gonna have to check the manga out! You also seem like a super sweet person to hang out with 😭
This was such a nice video and i'm so glad to learn about your process!! I hope you can get even more support your work is incredible and I love reading your mangas!!
i'm amaze by how many energy u have. i can never do something like part time when I already have full time job cuz I have less energy. do ur best! ganbatte!
when i was a kid i wanted to be a manga artist, and now as an adult i'm a big fan of your work, so this is a really interesting video!
How you pursue your interest alongside a regular office job has inspired me. I will keep working hard. Thank you for sharing :)
Thank you for sharing this! I really appreciated your honesty about the hard work that goes into handling a career as a manga artist while also having a day job!! Also your manga is delightful and brings joy to so many people, thank you for all you do!
as an animator and illustrator this video is so inspiring and you’re definitely a huge idol to me! every time i feel like i can’t do it i watch this video and it makes me want to push myself as hard as i can. your dedication is so admirable!
This was not only informative and interesting but you're so funny! I might just binge everything you have online now
It felt really genuine and I sympathize with the part where you realize that: 1) you need to hand in work the next day 2) you haven't done anything yet 3) you're screwed TToTT (student and long time procrastinator here ^ ^;)
Anyway also discovered your manga through this video and can say that it's really hilarious and I am enjoying it ^O^
Wish you the best and keep up the good work~
4:05 this part kinda creeped me out ngl.
And you are really hardworking-I literally wake up at 9 and attend my class at 10 am🗿🗿🗿🤚
We have almost the same hair! And I love your artwork and your voice-over! you work hard to complete this UA-cam video! Thank you I hope I can see the next one when you are free!
This was actually inspiring tho 😭😭 haven't picked the pen up for a few days.

Oh man you need more sleep T - T if you could at least try to sleep more, you’ll wake up feeling less like a zombie and you’ll end up being more productive (at least for me it does)
Thank you for your hard work!!we really appreciate it!mangaka's life looks exhausting
JEEEEZ 5 HRS A DAY OF SLEEP?! BESTIE THAT AINT HEALTHY ME COULD NEVER hope you sleep more hrs 🥲✨ I understand how it feels like. Hope you really do sleep more

hopefully, you still healthy and keep good work with your manga (already subscribed)...👍
This was a really fun video to watch! I loved seeing how your day goes by ☺️ I would love to see a video showing how you go about setting up Clip Studio for your manga and maybe more in-depth about how you choose the panel setups etc. Thank you for your hard work + translation! Looking forward to more fun videos :)
wow those routines... i respect you a lot! i also really appreciate you editing the video this way, it's totally entertaining. to think that your voice acting is also excellent!!
NO NO NO YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. I relate so much to this manga as a fellow short haired/tomboy bisexual women. I'm so happy to find another authentic lgbtq manga that I can relate to so much.
Bruh sounds like you made an order for gender 💀
@@bruhvideos4943 stfu her story isn't about you. cishet moment 💀
I just Finished the 17 chap of your series in just 1 day, it is so good and I love your artstyle so much. I'm counting on your next chapters or new stories okay? KEEP IT UP 😭❤️
I really REALLY love your hair~
I just noticed refrainbow as a sponsor, and if it really is the WEBTOON artist refrainbow, I'm really happy to see artists supporting each other~
I loved this video! Ahhh seeing my name in the sponsors made me excited...
I also draw comics and am working on my own webtoon part time too... It's rly tiring but we can do it!!
I laughed because I'm also lazy and just do lineart directly💦
A question... Do you plan on making an original story eventually?
Looking at you balance full time work and art is insane! I can sort of relate (sort of): I work full time and am learning to draw whenever I have free time. Obviously your schedule is busier, but the willpower and strength you have is amazing! I hope you are able to get a full time manga job!
Okay, so I admit: I haven’t read manga in like 1-2 years now, so I didn’t really know if I wanted to read hers. But ITS HILARIOUS, please read her manga yall! I haven’t seen anything like this before, and I’m only on the first few pages. Please read it.
title?
@@SitiAisyah-nk4ku It's in the description of the video. The name is 'The Girl That Can't Get a Girlfriend'. Currently it's on hiatus while she looks for a publisher.
@@stxllr4687 oh thanks

I GOT YR MANGA LAST YEAR AND I LOVED IT
the way i gasped looking at this, your inspiring to me in terms of love life and art
Oh that’s so cool! 😯 Mangaka’s life pretty hard.. So, that’s very interesting video format, I would like to see more of these ☺️. Very interesting to watch someone draw 😌😌
