Excel is great, but advise you get onto Power BI, or some sort of dashboarding tool - so much better for dashboarding and building/managing data models!
Hey, i am a new subscriber. I was curious about how long it took you to come where you are (including school)? And are you where you wanted to be in this field now, or not yet?
Hey, welcome to my channel! So I left education in 2022 and so if we are including school then 18 years (12 years at school, 2 at college, 4 at uni), at the moment I am at the start of my career so there is still lots more progress to come, but I am happy with where I am so far!
Do you mind me asking why you decided to go into management consulting? I don't mean to be rude but (from what I can tell) you've gone from a highly quantitative and challenging Cambridge degree to a management consulting role where the technical challenges of the role aren't even half of what you encountered during your undergraduate degree. Is it really just a money thing? I'm doing a similarly quantitative degree atm at a top UK uni and I'm deciding on my future atm but If I was in your shoes then I feel like I would find the work really uninteresting, further exacerbated by the fact that you have to work long hours. Do you feel that this is the case for you? If not then do you feel that your degree isn't really relevant to your current work and objectives? Apologies if this came off a little strong. I'm thinking about my career trajectory atm so any response would be welcome.
Hello, thanks for your comment. There are a few reasons I went for management consulting, one reason is that I have spent a lot of my academic life in equations/maths and wanted to develop my skills in other areas which management consulting allows. I also still get to use my mathematical and engineering skills for analysis and problem solving tasks in this role.
With regards to thinking about your own trajectory, these are three key things I consider when assessing new opportunities: Will this expand my network? Will this develop my skill set? Will I be compensated well for my work? If the answer is yes to 1 or more of these I would consider the opportunity
@@FluffleOW yeah you just exposed yourself for knowing nothing about the industry. A degree in ChemEng is absolutely useless in management consulting and a 22 year old knows nothing about managing a company. She's a diversity hire.

Hey Abbey do you know any universities in the uk to get a college credit in high school or just a research program
Hey, I'm not sure I understand the question, what is a college credit?
@@AbbeyRobinssI’m not 100% but maybe they meant like running start? Where you can earn college credits while in high school
may I ask what's your work handbag brand/model? thank you :-)
Of course! It’s Ralph Lauren but it’s 2+ years old now so I’m not sure they still do the exact model, but it’s a tote! x
thank you
why all these meetings need to take place in the morning ? Basically you started working after 1240 . That culture is so counterproductive
Are you always able to maintain the same routine every single day ?
No everyday is a little different!
Normal
You studied chemical engineering and you’re not even working in engineering 😂
yeaah😂😂

22 year old "consultant" 😭these diversity hires to raise morale for the older males that actually bring profits are getting out of control
a chemical engineering graduate from cambridge university is definitely not a diversity hire, you reek of jealousy babes
