I’m sure Emily does some nice work and is very talented but this logo redesign is not good. The original has a classic look and has intensity to it. Hers has to much clip art cheap feel to it. Too cartoony and almost childish.

We could use some change around here.) It's not like this is going to be the logo going forward, it's a design exercise. It's not even all that different from the current logo (which is my biggest issue with it). It's kind of like a more cartoony version of the current one. At any rate, if the logo is going to be re-designed I'd prefer a new completely idea...not a retread of the roaring bear face.
