I enjoyed your video. The one thing that I didn't agree with, is that the fans & the organization wasn't patient with Justin. I believed in Justin Fields. I still believe that he can be a very good QB and I think that outside of the 49ERS or the Chargers (w/Harbaugh)... The Steelers were the best place for him.
No. I only wish you'd do a little more research into why Fields didn't have success with the team. Everyone seems to act like he was born in week 5 of '22 & forgot why he was so highly touted. Also, if you have the time I can prove Every Knock Against Him wrong. He set records for accuracy in college, no? If you look at his highlights there, his throwing style was NFL-ready: low-flying missiles that required great arm strength to go 25+ yards at 2-3 feet above head height yet would land in the hands of his receivers before defenders could make plays on them. Did this accuracy leave him in the NFL? Not at all _Unfortunately,_ he may have ended up with The Only receiving corps that could nullify this ability to pout the ball into receivers' hands. His '21 INTs feature the ball going to the other team because his receivers would fall down, turn the wrong way, in two cases his own coaches telling him to "throw now, they have 12 men on the field" & being wrong about that (twice. His Own Coaches did that to him twice. Imagine)? & finally, his #1 WR for 2 years ua-cam.com/video/glpaya0xz-4/v-deo.html swatting away at footballs that appeared as if they were a swarm of attacking bees. Since INTs tend to be rarer than misses & drops combined, imagine what the real total was? & then things got worse. Everyone seems to forget how horrible the play-calling was, but they do so in a contradictory way. "Fields sucked, & it had Nothing Whatever to do with the play-calling. We're also glad Getsy is gone. He sucked." The only thing he _could have_ sucked at that affected things was play-calling, no? So right there, we have our first indication that the narrative is invented around some denial. & the first bit should have been around How Basic the 1st 4 weeks of '22 were. "Hand off the ball X3, toss a slant or screen repeat." To boot, by week 2 the receivers were almost in double digits the amount of times they missed timed passes simply by Not Moving Their Feet & having them glance off their fingertips because of just that. Then week 5 & Fields stopped himself throwing to Wide-Open Receivers for the 1st time multiple times in a game & when the Bears didn't take him into concussion protocol they revealed that these were How They Called Those Plays & Fields was ordered to not throw to certain receivers on certain plays. "The Bears *had to call those plays to simplify the offense For Fields because he can't read defenses."* Remember that senseless excuse? Would telling _ANY_ QB In Advance to not throw to any receiver even if they got open "simplify" things? "Stop mid-play, read a jersey #, remember if it belongs to a receiver we allowed you to throw to on This Particular Play while running from defenders." "Simplified." Then the media meme _became_ "he holds onto the ball too long" _because_ these plays _forced him to_ not throw the ball. So he was blamed for INTs caused by bad coaching calls, receivers swatting his passes away, blamed for being unable to read defenses & holding onto the ball too long when both were caused by play-calling. & I'm still not done. Fields finally publicly called out his coaches, saying they were confusing him & for the next 4 weeks (weeks 7-10 of '22) they Changed All Their Plays & scored an average of 31 points. Know what they averaged _without_ those plays? 17.3 points. Here's the best part. The fans & analysts said (because the Bears lost all those games) that "this proves *Fields can't* win games" & dismissed the fact that the Bears Voluntarily Returned to calling the plays that halved their offense for another Full Year. It's as if the fans _wanted_ the negatives things being said about Fields to be correct So Much that they were glad the team was failing. Yet more hypocrisy came as in mid-'23 fans wondered why Getsy wasn't calling the Great Plays that scored them all those points. The hypocrisy comes in _layers._ If We The Casual Fans can see that one set of plays is much better than the other, how is they think the HC is competent yet can't see this? Doesn't he stand on the sideline every single game? Wouldn't he have to approve the plays or not? Couldn't he tell the difference between 31 & 17? & lastly, Fields reads defenses ua-cam.com/video/QuhUbISnr8s/v-deo.html at an elevated level, & since one doesn't ever unlearn how, still does. So since all the BS negative things about him were based on this One False Myth, the excuses for those play-calls, the accusations of inaccuracy, the defense failing to hold leads when he scored over 30 points yet were all blamed on him, & the real worst thing he did was obey the commands of his coaches, the wrong one of which got blamed. Is everyone going to tell me *Eberflus didn't notice* Fields was holding onto the ball instead of passing to open receivers, Fields called this out & Eberflus did nothing about it? It was His Decision to call those plays & he did so for Over A Year. Again, work out for me how telling any QB In Advance not to throw to Specific Receivers even if they're the only ones open works? If Brady doesn't throw to Edelman & no one else gets open, how does this 'simplify' their ability to make passes?
We don’t need him to “take us” to the Super Bowl. Yeah it may be far fetched but Defense wins games, that’s facts. If he can help drive the ball and put up some points, it’s up to the defense.
No one can set goals for Caleb Williams that are higher than the goals he has set for himself. His skills as a QB are the product of his own drive and focus. Since Ryan Poles became GM, he has rebuilt this team and they have also put together an incredible coaching staff. Poles has rebuilt mostly through the draft with some veterans acquired through free agency or trades. But all of the players on this team are high character with a strong work ethic, there are no stars or prima donnas. There is a synergy growing on this team from the starters to the rookies and UDFA's, the players sense the the pieces are in place for the Bears to make a lot of noise this season. The harsh truth about the Bears is that they are for real and ready to kick down the doors.
I was coming here to say this. I'll admit that I was a Fields stan, and I wanted him to work out in the worst way. I also drank the anti-Caleb Kool-Aid because of the end of last season. I just didn't see it. But, the more I've seen of him, both on the field and off, the more I think that this kid is different. He *clearly* has had different expectations of himself since high school, at the very least. He'd dove into everything he's done with the highest of expectations, and largely delivered. That's why I don't think the added pressure will be a big factor. Super Bowl in his rookie year? Yeah, I doubt that highly. That's definitely only the meatiest of meatball takes that talking heads are bound to make months before the season starts. BUT, I can easily see him having a similar season to Stroud, assuming he stays healthy. I think that the Bears will have a good enough defense, combined with a good enough punter, good enough offensive weapons, and an easy enough schedule, that they will be, at least, a Wild Card team. Again, this all assumes normal health. I just think that this version of the Bears is probably the most complete I've seen on paper. That includes everyone from the front office down. I feel like the front office understands what the team needs, the coaches understand what the players need, and the players love to play ball. (Well, maybe except Davis, but we'll see).
This video has tempered my expectations. I have moved my prediction of the Bear's season from 15-2 and a Super Bowl win, down to 14-3 and a Super Bowl win. Thanks for the help!
Hahahaha! They don't want us to have anything nice at the QB position... We get to be as happy as possible. We don't have expectations for Caleb beyond what we've seen. We know good quarterback play when we see it. We're an excited fan base and it nobody else's business what we think about, and how we relate to Caleb...
The fact the kid got his own apartment right next to the school so he could focus on training sais everything you need to know about him.. idk any high school kids that have that level of dedication, work ethic, focus and maturity.. I’m not a Bears fan but I am a football fan and Caleb is a special guy and I wish him and the Bears all the best..
He is the most talented Bears QB in my 40+ years of watching.. Mad Mac was good, Cutler good-ish They made it to SB in 2006 with rex garbageman 22ints who knows how many more fumbles.. all im saying is rookie Caleb takes that team to the top
Well this aged badly. Bears gonna be starting Tyson Bagent next week and trading Keenan Allen as soon as possible. They've still got Rome Odunze and DJ Moore looking good and Khalil Herbert is developing well, but their offensive line is garbage and they need to get rid of Kyler Gordon as soon as possible too.
I'm just super excited to see him play a full game, with starters, in a meaningful game. There's so much we'll know after Week 1. And then after Week 3 or 4 when teams figure out what he does well and account for it. I remember Rex Grossman just balling out in September 2006 (he even won offensive player of the month) then teams realized you just needed to pressure him up the middle and it was over (same thing with Fields, any inside pressure, his eyes drop and it's over) I'm excited just for the unknowns. As a Bears fan, I just hope he doesn't suck.
Defense was top 5 last year. Though I do agree with you about the expectations. We need to stop setting too high or comparing him to other players. Because if he doesn’t perform to that standard, we’re gonna be harder on him and like you said it could hurt him his morale I feel we need to let him grow, do his thing, and yes he’s a rookie he will make Mistakes!!! I think he has potential at being good, in the next year to two!
If you want to say the defense that was ranked number 1 in every single stat after they got sweat is not dominant any more you lost all credibility with this video. The defense with the most picks in the nfl. The defense ranked number 1 in rush defense over the whole year. Sure dude.
I agree but he’s getting rid of the ball in 2.6 seconds with no offensive line . I hope he doesn’t get hurt trying to do too much. I was hoping we’d start Bagent and let him learn :
Bears defense last year was better than stats would have people believe. They were awful in the first half of the season and turned into a top 5 unit by the end of the year after trading for Montez. If you look at their stats over the last 8 weeks of the season they were actually top 5 in most categories and #1 in takeaways
Yeah, hearing what the creator said about the defense during the first minute of the video had me losing most all faith in WHATEVER was coming next. Did you WATCH the defense from start to finish? Especially after Montez Sweat arrived?! I mean my gawd!!
Bears might miss the playoffs, but they won't be far off. It's hard to see them get by the Lions or Packers yet. The issue here is can Caleb Williams succeed in a franchise that historically hasn't been known for excellent quarterback play? I think he'll be a success for them. I don't see a CJ Stroud-esque rookie season. I do, however, see him as the front runner for rookie of the year.
@@lances2424 That was last year though. Still, they're a young team with a rookie quarterback. The Lions and the Packers made the playoffs. People are going to say the Lions and Packers to make the playoffs because of the runs they had. Sure, the Bears could make the playoffs, but that would require a lot of things to go right and they might have to make it three NFC North teams in. That's going to be tough because the NFC West (49ers, Rams) and the NFC East (Eagles, Cowboys) are still factors to make the playoffs. I don't see the NFC South having two teams.
@@KWCline91 That same logic can be applied to every team in the league! It's always a new year my man. LOL That's why they play the games. In order for Det to repeat as North champs or GB to replicate their success they also need alot of things to go right..minimal injuries, continued high level play from Goff and Love, etc. I do agree that we shouldn't focus SOLELY on what happened last year but on the changes that upgrades that have happened since then. Too few folks seem to so that when making these prognostications.
Great video again. Crazy seeing Eisen say so nonchalantly that he could take them to the superbowl. But also, the point you made to assuage the Bear’s fans’ fears, with him having an elite supporting cast, is only adding to his expectations sadly. Very professional of you though, as a Panther’s fan, to keep calm and non-biased through the video 😂 I also bought Raycons, in honor of your first sponsor bro 👊🏼. Congratulations man! I’m also basic though lol. Was looking for a dark purple for my alma mater ECU, but black is cool.
@@AnotherSportsChannel That’s a mistake 😂 lol it depends on the girl obviously, but the law of averages shows that most people that go to ECU… they’re something else man But yea, raised in Western NC, school at ECU, and worked in Raleigh for a bit before moving over to NM for more school!
Nah I watched his 7 pass attempts in the bills game he's clearly passing for 6,000 yards and 40 TDs in each of our next 54 seasons while we go undefeated over that stretch
@@Messythegoat nah I’m thinking more like 1 int over his entire 54 year career when he intentionally passes the ball to a defender in a Super Bowl to make it a little more competitive so people still watch football despite the bears’ absolute dominance
I been a fan for many years and I remember just last year they were excited about the season but it’s preseason and they are young. They need to learn to win and if they just win two more games than last year and stay healthy I will be more than happy.
After watching Hard Knocks… I think Caleb got that dawg in him. When he said he was only nervous once so he decided to never be nervous again, I believe he did that. He’s got that psychotic winner mentality in a dude with great nail and bag game.
I don't remember much hype about MaHomes coming out of college and I live in Texas. He was a boom or bust prospect who wasn't even expected to play his first season.
so what youre saying is, we already won the superbowl??? EDIT: really good video btw written and editted with crazy high quality. keep working at it this is good stuff
Dudes looking back at 2018…..this D is best now thats its been since then and creator trying to tell me they aren’t as good as they they were….like 7 years ago? Come on brotha
The Harsh Truth About Caleb Williams.....he could be a BUST! He could be an all-time great, but since he's overhyped like Trevor Lawrence, who has been average in the NFL, I will go on to why he could be a BUST. He holds onto the ball too long, takes too many sacks, and fumbles a lot, hmmm sounds like Justin Fields. I am a fan of Justin Fields, and I think the Bears did him wrong. However, the same criticisms of Fields can be applied to Caleb Williams. People are so enamored with the wow plays, that they don't pay attention to the little things. Caleb doesn't play well consistently from the pocket, a prerequisite for all NFL QBs. Whether he can read coverages or not is debatable. What is not debatable is he was so focused on copying Pat Mahomes out of structure wow plays, that he paid little attention to Mahomes being surgical within the pocket. Mahomes pocket passing is soooo underrated. I hope I'm wrong about Caleb. If I'm right, NFL defenses will force Caleb to beat them from the pocket which will lead to bad INTS, fumbles, and sacks. If this happens, with the added pressure from media and fans, he will press and make things worse. If I'm right, the Bears will be looking for another QB in 3 years. I hope I'm wrong.
He won’t be a bust. I too was a Justin fan, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. You make the same valid points I did. Right before we drafted him someone posted a 20 minute video of my concerns. Strictly him throwing from the pocket. After I saw that I was relieved. His pocket passing will improve. My 2 biggest beefs with Justin were his reads and his long windup. He throws more shoulder and not enough wrist. Caleb does both well. The ball just comes out of his hand differently and you can see it. He can make short, medium and long passes accurately and with touch. He reads the field well and never puts his head down. Reminds me of Magic Johnson with a football. This kid is different. More importantly, he’s got the mind to figure it out. He’ll make rookie mistakes no doubt. But I highly doubt he’ll be a bust. He’s just got too many tools to work with. He’s got the desire, the poise, the maturity and the talent to succeed. For once, I can honestly say, we’ve got a quarterback in Chicago. I hope Justin does well over there too.
@@mgo4917 Caleb holds onto the ball too much, fumbles too much (32 in 36 games), and plays out of structure too much. The last preseason game is indicative of what he may become. He is not mature. What you fail to see is he has added pressure unlike Fields to be the next great thing. If he doesn't get off to a fast start, he may press which will lead to problems. Any QB can throw from the pocket when given time. Heck Mitch Trubisky went 11-3 back in 2018. My point: someone can do the same thing with Mitch and post a video with him throwing from the pocket. Back to that last preseason game, he was awful minus that one highlight throw which he didn't need to leave the pocket for. So like Fields, he will make some wow plays, but will take too many sacks and have too many fumbles and ints assuming I am correct.
@@IlluminatiSecretsRevealed True but I’m not concerned about him handling the pressure. You gotta read about this guy, he literally has been prepping for this since he was 10. He went to all the quarterback camps, he took interview courses at 14, he handled playing in Los Angeles and has been getting national attention since high school. He’ll be fine. He’s getting better and we should see improvement. It’s not like most #1 picks going to a crappy team. He’s got plenty around him. He doesn’t have to do what Stroud, he just has to be good enough. To me, Justin had more pressure to deal with. Caleb will learn.
The harsh truth is, no one knows how well Caleb Williams will play. It's all conjecture until the games are played. The prognostication of the football season has become bigger than the actual playing of the games! Chicago Bear fan since 1959, Go Bears!
Personally I think any expectation beyond 9 to 11 wins and maybe a playoff win is pushing it. The people who genuinely want a superbowl year 1 is crazy
11:01-11:08 I, respectfully, don't 100% agree with that. While JF's 1st season was completely unfair. So was part of the 2nd season. The 3rd season, however, was his chance to prove he was a franchise QB. We picked him over CJ Shroud and Bryce Young, and he had a chance to show the Bears that they didn't need to draft a new QB. While statistically, his stats last season were better than they were the year prior to that, they were barely better.
I remember a rookie video of him throwing with other rookies and he whipped a football like 65 mph 😂 I was like wow he’s got an arm but I had no clue he’d be that good
I joked sometimes that the Bears will be in the Super Bowl but my realistic expectation is competing for the playoffs because this WR, TE and HB core is so good even if someone on one of this positions got hurt you have the next guy. With a defense that was over the last weeks a top 5 defenese and Jaylon Johnson looks like a guy that wants more after the great last season he has and after he isn't mentioned in the top 100.
Outside expectations dont matter if your personal goals are even higher. Besides, The coaches have been preaching he doesnt hafta do it by himself from the start. To that point, hes even said it multiple times so its a non issue imo. The defense was elite post Sweat addition...by any metric. Its already formidable. The question is where theyll fall in the top 5. Outside of that, idk any Bears fans that expect Super Bowl year 1 but the playoffs are doable with the current roster. Nice pov from the outsode looking in.✊🏿✊🏿
Great video, only thing I disagree with is the defense was a top 5 unit after the Montez swear trade and only got more talent such as two time all pro, Kevin Byard, 12:25 during the offseason. The defense is elite and ready.
2 and 15 is a great record for me this year so long as both of the wins are against Green Bay in dominating fashion - this is what most of us damaged and broken Bears fans hope for.
@@soundautomatic1 ..: admittedly, as a Bears fan I do have higher expectations for Caleb than I’ve had for any other QB the Bears have drafted in my lifetime. I’m sure they drafted some QB’s in late 80’s & throughout the 90’s, but the 1st QB the Bears drafted in my memory is Cade McNown in 1999. Don’t remember how hyped he was, just remember he was considered a bust very quickly. Then Rex Grossman, Orton, Trubisky & Fields. I didn’t have high hopes for Grossman or Orton, but I did have some hope or expectations for Mitch & Justin. In Mitch’s case I wasn’t clairvoyant enough to be like “they should’ve took Mahomes or Watson” at the time of 2017 draft. I just thought that no QB prospect in that draft was worth a top 3 pick & that moving up to #2 was completely unnecessary. By the end of year 4 it was clear Mitch wasn’t starter material. For Fields I wanted so bad for him to be good b/c everything else about him besides his actual play (mainly his play as a passer) made him so easy to like & root for. But last season it just became clear that he doesn’t process his reads quick enough & holds on to the ball too long. Now with Caleb I have pretty big expectations. Especially with how he’s been hyped up. But making a Super Bowl as a rookie is just ridiculous. I think if he plays average to above average by rookie standards that they could make the playoffs, but I don’t expect that. I just expect to see growth throughout the season & a rookie performance that makes me confident he’ll keep getting better
I'll be honest, as a bears fan i know not to set my expectations too high. All I really want is to at least get two wins over the packers. If we finish 2-15, I will still be satisfied with how the season went 😮💨
“Defense isn’t what it was”. It was a top 10 unit last year that finished the last 7 games as a top 5 unit, the defense is elite. And the oline is better then people give them credit for since Justin held on to the ball for too long and made them look worse than they were. They’re a middle of the pack group
Great QBs can handle the expectations. That's what makes them great in the first place. He wanted to be the first pick, he got to be the first pick. Now pony up.
The defense will be dominate this year if they stay healthy. Anyone that dissects what the bears did the past 8 weeks of last year will understand they had the most takeaways in the NFL and only allowing 17.9 points a game. The defense will be even better this year also catered with a easy schedule
Jeez. Cj Stroud ruined it for all rookie qbs now. People now expect their rookies to put up CJ numbers their 1st season. Saying this guys the best qb in franchise history and going to the sb?!? I don’t hate the bears actually like them a lot since Fridge, Walter and Singletary . Always had a great defense. I like the optimism but this is nuts .
He has less pressure than like any other quarterback number one pick of all time because he literally has to be mid to be the best bears quarterback of all time idk where this whole pressure thing comes from
Top 5 defense. Its going to help alieviate some of the pressure plus a rocket ball coffin kicking punter to help with field positions. He will be just fine, and so will the Bears 🐻 ⬇️
Just let the young man play football. Most modern day Bears fans are not old enough to know about winning the super Bowl. It takes a little time. Like the content creator said, the defense though talented, is not there yet. Claws up, temper down.
I’m a minute into this video and you’re just straight wrong, the defense was a top 5 unit in the back half of the year and the bears were very much in contention for a playoff spot right until the end
Zach Wilson floor (initial Draft projection, not what Wilson has become); Mahomes ceiling. Athleticism is questionable to have Mahomes comp, so will wind up being something in the middle. Jayden Daniels is QB1 in this class when all is said and done; CHI ultimately got it wrong with this pick but bought time by upgrading the roster offensively. Will be better than Fields was, tho, that's fo'sho'.
The defense was tops in run defense and turnovers and top 3 in interceptions. They also led the league in points given up weeks 9-17. This video was solid but that was absolutely incorrect
all i want is my bears to be relevant once more, we are the OG dynasty and it is time for us to reclaim that tittle. Before SB era it was all bears football. Soon. BEAR DOWN
"the defense, once the pride of the franchise, lacked the dominance it was known for..." BRO we are 1st in takeaways and 1st in rushing defense?? explain your comment plz
Unfortunately people only look at the end of season numbers when they should be looking at from when Sweat was traded for. What all these UA-cam videos and main stream analysts ignore about CJ’s season is he barley made the playoffs and he had a top 11 defense in points given up and mind you they had to sell there future to get that and also give up a hefty price to get Diggs this off-season and still have to pay him. Unlike the Bears they built there entire team through the draft and will have a bunch of cap space next season along with all there draft picks & the Panthers 2nd round pick on top of it and all there guys are locked up long term except for Keenan Allen & Tevin Jenkins. Poles has done miracles with the cap and draft capital along with hitting on actual talent in every round he’s drafted and consistently finding UDFA’s who are talented.
Ok the first few sentences were way off. Objective judgement pls. Last seasons O-line was far from perfect, but sack / pressure numbers were not their fault. So about the D, last years D from the second hali of the season was playoff caliber run D and mediocre pass D. Far from a collapse.
With all do respect this is a somewhat flawed take...these expectations are not solely based on Caleb's ability but the situation he finds himself in. In actuality Caleb does NOT need to be the savior of this team this year..he merely needs to not hinder this playoff ready team from success. If any of you knew anything about this team you would know that even their 7-10 record could have easily been 10-7 as they lost 3 heartbreaking games in the final minutes last year. And that defense that my man says isn't at the level it "once was" was the number one rated squad in several categories over the last 6 or so weeks, They were hindered by incompetent offensive play calling and mid level QB play and STILL beat the vaunted Lions for 2.75 games last year. And finally let's let the team and Caleb themselves determine their ceiling..and they ain't shying away from any of it
I mean I think he alluded to the elite cast surrounding him, but in a manner to decrease any worries fans have, not to the point that you (and I) made about that ADDING to his expectations. And also, saying he doesn’t have to be the savior, means that negative days are going to be pressed more on him than other players, which is more stress to Caleb. He seems composed, and I hope that follows through the season. But also, with the ‘85 Bears EXISTING, the statement “not at the level it once was” is forever going to be accurate man, they were ludicrously dominant. But also, the last 6 weeks were QBless vikings, St. Brown injured Lions, Cardinals, Falcons, Browns initially going through QB changes, and a Packers team that clinched the playoffs. So it stacked up well for their D to excel.
@@Cheesecow29 Certainly see your point, and trust me my opinion on this issue has indeed evolved over time based on what Caleb and the team themselves have put out there I mean did you see him and DJ on first take last week?? DJ said 10 win minimum is the expectation and CW said yeah go ahead and compare me to CJs output from last year so at this point I'm like yo if you talk it you better walk it! Oh and as for the end of season wins let's not discount the changes the team made during that stretch, finally getting healthy in the secondary, acquiring Sweat, Eberflus replacing Alan Williams sorry ass..all significant factors as well
@@shawnjohnson8456 Yea the moves the Bears made between week 10 and now. Parallels with the Falcons honestly. Kind of terrifying. Poor Lions honestly, they rose up to glory one year, and the very next, the Bears and Packers might go to the playoffs with them (or in lieu of them). NFC will play out interestingly this year, pretty much because of two teams’ terrible moves! Pamfers and Vikings making bad gambles, that didn’t pay out. I’m assuming you’re a bears fan, so I have to end with reminding you of the double doink. That being said, I don’t want to watch our secondary try to guard Keenan, DJ, and Odunze/Swift…Kmet… terrifying matchup for a team that lacks secondary
Who the hell listens to media pundits? Casuals who think they know the game cuz they play Madden & FF. The kid is great & will take Us to the Super Bowl.. in a couple years, not a couple games 🐻⬇️.
As a Bears fan, just from watching Caleb play in the preseason, I can tell he’ll be good. I’m sure the majority of the fanbase will be happy with Caleb setting QB records for the Bears in his first season. If we don’t make the SB this year, fine. Even if we don’t make the playoffs this year, that’s fine. We know our team is finally heading in the right direction, it’s only a matter of time for those to come. 🐻⬇️
dont get me wrong, im not a fields glazer or packers fan and i really really want this guy to work, but its just against the backups we gotta wait until we face real defenses

"Stop mid-play, read a jersey #, remember if it belongs to a receiver we allowed you to throw to on This Particular Play while running from defenders."
"Simplified."
Then the media meme _became_ "he holds onto the ball too long" _because_ these plays _forced him to_ not throw the ball.
Hey @@ChewsCarefully, you sound like a Fields fan, not a Bears fan. You should follow him to Pittsburgh.
Spot on analysis… Expecting him to take them to the SB first year is wild, as a Bears fan I’d be happy for a playoff spot but again he’s a rookie
Definitely see that happening
I can see playoff spot but definitely not SB
We don’t need him to “take us” to the Super Bowl.
Yeah it may be far fetched but Defense wins games, that’s facts.
If he can help drive the ball and put up some points, it’s up to the defense.
I will say mostly spot on. However our defense was one of the most dominant defenses last year towards the last half of the year
I don’t expect a SB this year I’m thinking 8-10 wins maybe wild card opportunities
🤣 anytime!
😂😂😂😂😂
But what if Ditka is a surprise attendee for one of your scheduled losses?
I read this comment in a chicago accent, DA BEARS
As a bears fan i’d be satisfied with a wildcard spot.
Did you forget who the HC is?
As a Bears fan, we are so hyped we don’t know what to do.
Usually get disappointed
He is the most talented Bears QB in my 40+ years of watching.. Mad Mac was good, Cutler good-ish
They made it to SB in 2006 with rex garbageman 22ints who knows how many more fumbles.. all im saying is rookie Caleb takes that team to the top
You are 100% correct, well said 🙌
He's not talented,
@@jimmy_butlerif he’s not talented, then who is ?

Of course!! Appreciate the support
The way Poles and Flus are building this team, once they start winning, they will keep on winning. Changing the culture for sure.
You can't win with a sorry QB like gayleb
@@jimmy_butler you talk like a 3rd grader. Does it make you feel better about your pathetic life to call him names?
Well this aged badly. Bears gonna be starting Tyson Bagent next week and trading Keenan Allen as soon as possible. They've still got Rome Odunze and DJ Moore looking good and Khalil Herbert is developing well, but their offensive line is garbage and they need to get rid of Kyler Gordon as soon as possible too.
I'm just super excited to see him play a full game, with starters, in a meaningful game. There's so much we'll know after Week 1. And then after Week 3 or 4 when teams figure out what he does well and account for it. I remember Rex Grossman just balling out in September 2006 (he even won offensive player of the month) then teams realized you just needed to pressure him up the middle and it was over (same thing with Fields, any inside pressure, his eyes drop and it's over)
I'm excited just for the unknowns.
Bears will be good this year
Yeah, Randy Watson good
Nope, not with this trash QB
Absolutely
If you want to say the defense that was ranked number 1 in every single stat after they got sweat is not dominant any more you lost all credibility with this video. The defense with the most picks in the nfl. The defense ranked number 1 in rush defense over the whole year. Sure dude.
Caleb has struggled to move the offense & Bagent has proved to be more efficient & productive.
I agree but he’s getting rid of the ball in 2.6 seconds with no offensive line . I hope he doesn’t get hurt trying to do too much. I was hoping we’d start Bagent and let him learn :
I’ll never forget watching that Oklahoma Texas game and telling my friend Caleb Williams is a future Bear 😭😂
Did you watch them play both teams last year the Bears basically owned Jared Goff. They played the Packers well to.
Lions have an overrated offense and average defense.
Packers have 3 WR twos & 1 WR three
@lances2424 EXACTLY!!
No one is saying SB with any kind of seriousness but I think expecting playoffs or 10 with this many losing season in a row isn’t a stretch.
Caleb Williams is Caleb Williams and shouldn't be compared with anyone else . He is going to unleash his greatness on the NFL .
Great video again. Crazy seeing Eisen say so nonchalantly that he could take them to the superbowl. But also, the point you made to assuage the Bear’s fans’ fears, with him having an elite supporting cast, is only adding to his expectations sadly. Very professional of you though, as a Panther’s fan, to keep calm and non-biased through the video 😂
I also bought Raycons, in honor of your first sponsor bro 👊🏼. Congratulations man! I’m also basic though lol. Was looking for a dark purple for my alma mater ECU, but black is cool.

Nah I watched his 7 pass attempts in the bills game he's clearly passing for 6,000 yards and 40 TDs in each of our next 54 seasons while we go undefeated over that stretch
MAYBE 1 INT a year
@@Messythegoat nah I’m thinking more like 1 int over his entire 54 year career when he intentionally passes the ball to a defender in a Super Bowl to make it a little more competitive so people still watch football despite the bears’ absolute dominance

After watching Hard Knocks… I think Caleb got that dawg in him. When he said he was only nervous once so he decided to never be nervous again, I believe he did that. He’s got that psychotic winner mentality in a dude with great nail and bag game.
For what the expectations are Caleb Williams will have to at the minimum make the playoffs with the amount of hype that has come with him
I don't remember much hype about MaHomes coming out of college and I live in Texas. He was a boom or bust prospect who wasn't even expected to play his first season.

Great video man. Great quality.
Buh, buh, buh, Bears fan here, just want him to learn and develop. That’s the only expectation I have. So far so good. ;). 🐻 ⬇️
First video I've caught from your channel. Gotta say it's a excellent presentation. Great comparisons and insight.
The harsh truth is, no one knows how well Caleb Williams will play. It's all conjecture until the games are played. The prognostication of the football season has become bigger than the actual playing of the games! Chicago Bear fan since 1959, Go Bears!
Most expectations are way too high I just hope for maybe a playoff win but not a SUPERBOWL
...and we'll see neither
@@TheCountofToulouseBuckle up
Personally I think any expectation beyond 9 to 11 wins and maybe a playoff win is pushing it. The people who genuinely want a superbowl year 1 is crazy
The Title seems to be Click Bait
11:01-11:08 I, respectfully, don't 100% agree with that. While JF's 1st season was completely unfair. So was part of the 2nd season. The 3rd season, however, was his chance to prove he was a franchise QB. We picked him over CJ Shroud and Bryce Young, and he had a chance to show the Bears that they didn't need to draft a new QB. While statistically, his stats last season were better than they were the year prior to that, they were barely better.
The NFL is crazy because it the league that teams go last to first more than any other sport.
I remember a rookie video of him throwing with other rookies and he whipped a football like 65 mph 😂 I was like wow he’s got an arm but I had no clue he’d be that good
9-8 / 10-7 season incoming
I joked sometimes that the Bears will be in the Super Bowl but my realistic expectation is competing for the playoffs because this WR, TE and HB core is so good even if someone on one of this positions got hurt you have the next guy.
With a defense that was over the last weeks a top 5 defenese and Jaylon Johnson looks like a guy that wants more after the great last season he has and after he isn't mentioned in the top 100.
You can't make the playoffs with gayleb
Outside expectations dont matter if your personal goals are even higher. Besides, The coaches have been preaching he doesnt hafta do it by himself from the start. To that point, hes even said it multiple times so its a non issue imo.
The defense was elite post Sweat addition...by any metric. Its already formidable. The question is where theyll fall in the top 5.
Outside of that, idk any Bears fans that expect Super Bowl year 1 but the playoffs are doable with the current roster. Nice pov from the outsode looking in.✊🏿✊🏿
After watching the game today, he is absolutely legit.
Yeaaa, Chicago's got a QB
Great video, only thing I disagree with is the defense was a top 5 unit after the Montez swear trade and only got more talent such as two time all pro, Kevin Byard, 12:25 during the offseason. The defense is elite and ready.

2 and 15 is a great record for me this year so long as both of the wins are against Green Bay in dominating fashion - this is what most of us damaged and broken Bears fans hope for.

The whole video is built around a few clickbait crumbs.
@@soundautomatic1 … agreed 💯
Our defense is definitely dominant lol
“Defense isn’t what it was”. It was a top 10 unit last year that finished the last 7 games as a top 5 unit, the defense is elite. And the oline is better then people give them credit for since Justin held on to the ball for too long and made them look worse than they were. They’re a middle of the pack group
Tbh even though I liked Fields when we first drafted him. Even I knew that the way he played was not gonna allow him to last,
Good editing and analysis, but this video, like some of your others, could definitely use some shortening, especially in the second half. Keep it up!
good take, my expectation as a bears fan 10 wins and possible playoff upset lol
I'm a diehard Bears fan! Great content. You got a new sub.
Great video bro
I don't think Caleb will be asked to do a lot, he's got weapons on offense that should do most of the work.
This was done well, but bro, we were patient with Fields. He got drafted by a gm that got canned. It sucks, but he also failed
Mahomes is a bad example.
He only played in one game his rookie season and the Chiefs were already a playoff team.

Not you, not Lincoln Riley, not ANYBODY knows 100% positively if he will work out or bust. Or in fact, be the greatest QB ever. We do not know.
Loved this
He has less pressure than like any other quarterback number one pick of all time because he literally has to be mid to be the best bears quarterback of all time idk where this whole pressure thing comes from
Top 5 defense.
The truth is let him sit the first 2 seasons like what Mahomes did
I’m a minute into this video and you’re just straight wrong, the defense was a top 5 unit in the back half of the year and the bears were very much in contention for a playoff spot right until the end
if CJ stroud can lead the 2023 Texans to 10-7, I think Caleb can lead the Bears to 11-6 (with one of the leagues easiest schedules btw)
The 2024 Chicago Bears defense is going to be dominant.
8:17 I'm like "Who's that homely lady and what does she have to do with the story."
It’s going to take him a few years to adapt to the nfl style.
The defense was tops in run defense and turnovers and top 3 in interceptions. They also led the league in points given up weeks 9-17. This video was solid but that was absolutely incorrect
He can handle it. He's the GOAT. HE's different. This all comes naturally to the GOAT. He's not LIKE MAhomes ... he's BETTER.
This is the exact same thing people said about LeBron James. “The hype is impossible to live up to.”
Idk man Caleb Williams is making me bear down so hard. I bear downed all over when he connected with Rome
Uhm I don’t think you know how good the current bears defense is 💀 #1 ranked run defense in football last year and had the most picks.

You’re mostly correct I believe. But I think you’re downplaying our defense a little bit.
And love Justin but Caleb a whole different level
all i want is my bears to be relevant once more, we are the OG dynasty and it is time for us to reclaim that tittle. Before SB era it was all bears football. Soon. BEAR DOWN

BRO we are 1st in takeaways and 1st in rushing defense??
explain your comment plz
Caleb will be fine. This is different. He has a beast squad on offense. Only God and or an injury can stop caleb from being great.
Keep this receipt my guy lol
Bears should win the division first year at least
@@ddog_2559 you don’t consider the Bills a real defense? He played their starting D
tbh i didnt know they put their starters in
@@ddog_2559 yessir
I just want a Chicago franchise player to be proud of again, been feeling empty ever since my 3 glorious kings of Kane toews and Keith
Defense is Dominant bro what are u talking about
Can we just get thru the first season before we do this
