I'm on a quest to find other "out of bounds" areas in & around the main temple where there might be collision making it safe to land. More often than not you just keep falling through the map. But the search continues.
I think you could survive a fall from the top of the idols, but I used the Cloth Of Desperation just to be safe. Jumping through this hole successfully is not as easy as it looks. Most of the time you just fall through the map. 2 glitches happened during this video. 1--You can't see the shiny tailed lizard despite hearing it crawling all over the place. 2--Agro also turned invisible once I got down to the floor level. I think they were both wearing the Cloak Of Deception. XD
Really? Back then I didn't know how to get to Dormin's Hole on the PS2 version. I still managed to do a lot of exploring on the PS2 version though. Things are much easier on the PS4 remake now that the Cloth Of Desperation also serves as a glider & there is so many places around the map where you can do super jumps. It makes getting to "out of bounds" locations much easier.
There are 3 ways to reach it but none of them are foolproof. Sometimes they will work & sometimes not. I'll let you try to figure it out. Funny thing about this video, you can hear the lizard walking around, but when I pulled out the Harpoon Of Thunder to impale it, the lizard went invisible. Then when I landed on the temple floor & was going to go up to Agro & pet the horse, Agro also went invisible. I think they both put on the Cloak Of Deception. XD
Hey, i know this is late but how did you get in the dormin's hole place? I have been trying to do that super jump glitch but i never could do it. (I have the parachute by the way)
Hi Alex, the super jump will work, but it's very tricky to do & requires precise timing & precise opening & closing of your Cloth Of Desperation. If you are off by even 1 or 2 seconds, you'll most likely fail. Another method you could try is to connect a turbo controller & "hawk hump" high enough to where you can glide down to the hole. But more often than not, you will end up falling through the map.
I don't have any tutorial videos saved. If I did I'd send you a link. There really isn't a special way to do a super jump. Just find an area where you'd like to get higher & keep mashing the jump button against the wall or rock & hope that at some point a super jump occurs. It doesn't always work even if you try it in a location where it's worked in the past. Using a turbo controller or a regular controller with a turbo attachement is the best way to succeed in doing a super jump.
Hey there tim, any idea why the hole is plugged up at the beginning but then changes immediately? it wasn't like that in the original if I remember correctly.
Correct, it wasn't covered in the original. Not sure why it is in the remake. Another thing that has changed is doing the super jump off Agro when entering the temple which would allow you to fly high up in the air & land on top of the idols. It doesn't appear that you can do that in the remake, making jumping through Dormin's hole the only way to get to the top of the idols without hacking.
I wouldn't call it flying, but you can use your parachute (Cloth Of Desperation) as a glider to reach areas you otherwise couldn't reach. The PS2 version also allowed this but you can travel much further in the PS4 remake. The PS3 version only allowed you to glide straight down, but on the plus side the PS3 version had trophies & the ability to play in stereoscopic 3D. Also included on the PS3 release in the U.K. & U.S.A. was the added game "ICO" on the same disc.
@@timmadone8930 I can play in 3D! how did I not know this. I didn't get into ICO, I think I lost my progress somehow and didn't much like the first hours of gameplay. was it good?
@@danielkinton7193 I can certainly understand losing interest in "ICO" especially if you would have to start all over again. The camera is annoying & controlling the boy is very awkward. But I still enjoyed it & have played through it many times. "ICO" needs a full remake & hopefully that happens eventually. If you played these games on PS3 I'm not sure how you didn't know about the 3D. It says it right on the front of the box..."3D Compatible Game".
You get the the spear ( Harpoon Of Thunder ) & the parachute ( Cloth Of Desperation ) by beating colossi within the time limit in Time Attack Mode. A glitch actually happened twice during this video. The first was that the shinny tailed lizard can't be seen even though you can hear it walking around. The second was that after I landed on the temple floor, Agro ran up to me, but after I put the harpoon away so I could pet Agro, the horse can't be seen either. lol
That sound is a shiny tailed lizard. As you can see I was looking for it so I could throw a harpoon at it. But it remained invisible. That's not the only glitch that happened. Once I got down to the floor level, Agro started moving towards me. But after I put my harpoon away so I could pet Agro, the horse also went invisible. If you ask me I think they both decided to put on the Cloak Of Deception. XD
@@omega_496 Good observation. Yes Mono is also not seen resting on the stone slab. But that only happens when you're on top of the idols. Once you're down on the temple floor, she appears. I forgot to show that. I think I got too distracted with not being able to see the shiny tailed lizard. lol
