Sure, it was disappointing we didn't get some of the cut colossi & access to climb all the way to the top of the castle, but Fumito Ueda (at the time) didn't want that & his decision had to be respected. The 20th anniversary is almost here & we "might" just get all those extra goodies in a Definitive Edition for PS4/PS5. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
At 2:12 we can see a Mandala underneath what is probably a watch tower. More than likely there are more Mandalas around the upper part of this structure. If only there was collision so we could climb all around it & explore everywhere. It's so interesting that so much detail is here even though this is an area not meant to be seen. At 2:30 I can't help but think of "ICO" when I see those benches. Hopefully we get a director's cut giving us full access to the very top & the missing 8 colossi.

Me too. If given a choice, I'd take the ability to climb all the way to the very top over fighting the extra colossi...well accept maybe for Spider. That is one colossus I wish had been put back in the game. With the 20th anniversary just around the corner, & continued interest in the game even after 19 years, we "might" just get a Definitive Edition in 2025 for PS4/PS5. I would be very surprised if we don't get something special to celebrate the anniversary. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Another interesting thing is the disappearing area in Dormin's hole at 5:21. Even on ps2 I didn't understand why you die when you jump into Dormin's hole with a parachute. Maybe it's because of this floor in the middle of the hole.
That's not Dormin's hole you die in but I know what you're talking about. That's why you die. You're not actually going into the real pool room.

Hey my ps4s broke it keeps shutting off and says the database corrupted and it restarts and shuts off and does the same thing over again do you know what to do
Do you have to have a turbo controller to hump the hawk & get up that high? Is it easy to do? I really hope they include normal access to the very top of the temple when the game is re-released for PS5. I love what Bluepoint did with the PS4 version. But like most of us, I'm expecting access to the top of the temple & more colossi to fight if I buy the game a 4th time. LOL
Yeah, I'm using a turbo controller. Though, since the debug menu is accessible with CFW, there's really not much point in looking for more OOB stuff with the controller. I would like to get my hands on another PS4 Pro with the firmware required but they're all sold out.

É pq o game depois de "finalizado" ele é otimizado, áreas de colisão e itens não são carregados se vc não passa pela rampa do caminho pro jardim... Assim ele salva recursos pra melhor performance... Assim tbm funciona em áreas de colosso... Essa prática é melhor visualizada se vc for sair pra fora do mapa na C1 e cair no limbo, olhando pro oeste vc vê que a caverna pro colosso não está carregada
It doesn't load from above. It's like this in a bunch of places around the shrine when you go oob from the garden. The collision just loads separately in some areas. Also, if you look at the trees, the fruit doesn't load either. The collision/fruit loads when you're going up the ramp normally.
Not sure about the top, but there is collision on the 2nd floor, where the blocks are, when you're in the garden normally. You can check for collision by using the camera in photo mode. The camera will hit it.

I tried it on the PS3 and it doesn't work very well when trying to hold on to the hawks. Someone else tried it for the base PS4 but they haven't really given much feedback, so I don't know for sure.

I don't know why but I find the stone tile patterns used in the architecture of ICO and SotC very evocative. I wonder where they got their influences.

It's on the Western side of the SoW but you need a turbo controller and likely a PS4Pro for it to work.
