- Rocky, our beloved Mazda 3 Hatchback, has taken us to California and Canada, the Great Salt Lake and Arches National Park. It's hard to say goodbye. We'll miss you, Rocky!

Same. Luckily beagles tend to live pretty long, as far as dogs, alot of beagles can live 15-17 years. that's still a rip off considering humans live way longer. I do believe there's an afterlife tho where we all go

You couldn't have timed a Oliver adventure any better. As I told you before, I have had 2 wonderful beagles (one rescued at the Humane Society and the other wandered into our yard after being dumped in the woods) that spent their entire lives with me. I miss my beagles a ton and unfortunately today, I had a death in my family. Nothing soothes a person that loves dogs implicitly more than spending time with a pooch either in person (better) or virtually (a great second). Thanks so much for today's post!!

I’m sorry to see and hear that you and Oliver have to say goodbye to Rocky, it’s sad to see him go isn’t it. It so sad to say goodbye to Rocky after so many years. But, Oliver and your dad have a wonderful journey to California.
I bought my car in 2011, and was my first major purchase after finishing my education. I make a lot more money than I did then, but despite people urging me to get a new one befitting my income, I will keep my perfectly running car until it eventually dies on me. I can't wait for Oliver's California adventures 2.0! Safe travels!

Mazda's are the BEST!!! My first new Mazda 6 in 2008 made it to 2018 with $200,000 plus miles and no troubles!!! Purchased my next Mazda 6 in 2018 - used $35,000 miles - and now it just hit 112,000 miles and again, no troubles!!! And bought it from the same salesman because he was the absolute BEST!!!

This is so sweet (though you are probably sadder to part from "Rocky" than Oliver -- he just wants to be with you both!). I've owned numerous cars in my lifetime, but there was only one I named: a little compact OPEL Corsa (a German model that probably doesn't exist in the US). We bought it used -- 7 years old, but the previous owner was an old lady who only drove it to the supermarket once a week. After 7 yrs., it had only 5,000 km (= 3,106 miles) on it and was in mint condition. It was so adorable and zippy and easy to park, I named it my "Schnuckelchen", which I guess would translate as "my little sweetie pie." Many, many years later, I was so sad when my husband decided we had to sell it! I now drive a very robust and sturdy VW, but the feeling is just not the same!

I remember that little car well me and Arnold and Bigfoot got to watch you guys take several awesome 👌 adventures in the little car.. Friday was the 36th week anniversary since I lost Arnold 😢 , can't believe it has been that long since he departed from me..I'm sure the new car will have even more awesome adventures with Oliver..give him a big hug 🫂 for me please and always give him extra scratches..I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead .

Nice tribute and farewell to Rocky. I remember the same sort of feeling when my parents sold their first car, a DeSoto, even though I was pretty young. Bon voyage and have a great trip to California. Just as well you aren't here quite yet since we are having a hurricane! Well, a tropical storm, which is a big deal in the land of no-weather. 💦
When our elderly Honda bit the dust a few months ago I was a wreck when Kars-4-Kids came to get it, because it was the last car my husband drove. Good luck with the new one!
