  • In this video Brad shows you how to pressure transfer from a sanke keg into a ball lock keg using a spunding valve to reduce the amount of foaming. This technique would also work for transferring between other types of kegs, you would just need to get the appropriate fittings.

    I chained 2 kegs together with a Duotight spunding valve, during fermentation, harvested some CO2.
    Used one keg, to purge my other keg again, after putting gelatin in. It worked great.

    No need to lift the supply keg unless you are using a siphon method by connecting the gas posts together after getting it flowing. CO2 cylinder will push it even with them both at floor level.

    I like the blow tie style Kegland spunding valve since you can connect one of those flow stoppers to the end and prevent a mega geyser if you are foolish enough to turn your back on it (like me).

    Use a scale to judge fullness of keg. 1 litre = 1 kg
