He’s literally talking about how much he dislikes the way HIMYM is following him around and overshadowing the rest of his career, and yall are just commenting about Ted Mosby 😂😂 ffs
He can't escape it. I am so sorry. The character he potrayed is basically is himself. We love Ted Mosby and Josh Radnor. It's like how people love Tony Stark and Robert Downey Jr. You can't change that. Why don't accept it? Personally I would love to get to know Josh Radnor besides Ted Mosby.. but Ted Mosby is him. The two are connected. Even he plays another role in another movie He will still be mentioned as Ted Mosby is acting another role just like how Iron Man is Sherlock Holmes
I'd imagine it's tough with the shadow of HIMYM following him around but he seems like a guy with real substance /depth so it'll be interesting to see where he goes next.
Honestly, he is not a great actor. All the other cast members are more successful than ever. I still love him as Ted and he is still an important part of my life
@@user-td2je6gj2r Idk, there are a lot of celebs who walk away from limelight and Hollywood career after a few successful stints because they feel all of the other things that come with showbiz makes their life miserable. That's the reason a lot of celebs do alcohol or drug abuse, or even commit suicide. Inspite of being successful the struggles he went through are personal to him, so I don't think calling him out as whiny is really justified and infact lacks empathy.
I love Josh Radnor. The guy seems incredible genuine to me and he’s a very talented actor. I love both of his films, Happythankyoumoreplease and Liberal Arts, and I also really like his music. Really cool guy.
I was so lucky to run into him on the subway, I freaked out and screamed "Josh!!" on the top of my lungs, but he didn't hear me so I went up to him shaking and asked "You're Ted from HIMYM right?" he looked at me and said "I used to be..." His talk "Fame's Lesson Plan" is amazing!!! He's one of the reasons I'm doing theater in college! Love your work Josh!!
out of all the cast I think Josh is the one who behaves like his character the most, I feel Ted was just being Josh. When I see an interview of say, Neil Patrick Harris I can't see Barney in him at all, but with Josh I can totally see Ted.
NPH is a lot like barney though. He's very different, but a lot of NPH's mannerisms and overall humor went into barney's character. Their sense of humor really is very similar, also the magic and singing.
Josh is such a genuine and intelligent guy in every interview he appears in. He's also just Ted Mosby personified With all the best qualities of Ted, he really did put his all into that character his great human qualities show through that. I know he wants to move on from HIMYM and that's fair because he wants to pursue other projects... but obligatory "No can do's-ville Babydoll". But only because the show is so legendary! Best show ever
I love seeing interviews of Josh Radnor because he’s known for playing Ted Mosby on how I Met your mother but he’s so much more than that. He’s got so much depth and substance to him and he has a genuine gentle calm about him that is really soothing to listen to
lmao the writers made Ted more philosophical to be like Josh so that the charactee felt more natural but now all it means is that everything Josh says sounds like Ted oh no ahahahahahhahha
I know he is worried that him being ted would follow his career and everyone would be compairing all his roles with ted... But is it such a bad thing? He gave life to one of the most iconic sitcom character...
Really interesting interview and it's cool to see how much of a reflective person Josh is. I hope he keeps finding and pursuing passion, it's what we all should strive towards. I get that a part of the success was a curse but I think even he can't fully grasp the profound impact the show had on so many people.
It’s very clear to me like watching a lot of his interviews and then things were talked about how I Met your mother it sounds like that whole show literally made him more depressed than he ever was and it’s sad for me to say that but I think it’s really true because how I Met your mother is one of my favourite shows but it seems to me like the success of that show has overshadowed him for the rest of his life and he doesn’t like it which really made him very depressed I strongly do believe He’s a good actor and he will find good roles in the future
As an artist, it's probably frustrating to be successful playing one role, but at the same time can't shake off branching to another endeavor without mention of said successful role. Financially, he's probably set for life with royalties alone due to syndication, but as an artist, it's a nightmare to be typecast as Ted Mosby forever.
I dont understand why he is so negative about playing Ted Mosby. Watching interviews and seeing the actor talk and act, he honestly IS Ted Mosby. He took this character and molded him so the actor and the character would become one and the same. That is a very impressive thing to do, and I dont understand why he would view that as a curse.
hes grateful of the role the the things that show did for him. However when people just look at him as that guy from that show and dont look at his other work or give him other chances that is an annoying thing for him. You wouldnt that to happen if you were in his shoes would you
That's is a drawback being a actor on sitcom , whenever Josh plays a role in some other movies first thing strike in people's mind is Ted mosby . It is something that can't take off from their minds .
ted talk

The guy made millions and can do whatever he wants ... and he's bitching about it?
I'd imagine it's tough with the shadow of HIMYM following him around but he seems like a guy with real substance /depth so it'll be interesting to see where he goes next.
Honestly, he is not a great actor. All the other cast members are more successful than ever. I still love him as Ted and he is still an important part of my life
He is whiny about being successful which is bs. He has depth yeah, but very priveledged whininess is there lol

I love Josh Radnor. The guy seems incredible genuine to me and he’s a very talented actor. I love both of his films, Happythankyoumoreplease and Liberal Arts, and I also really like his music. Really cool guy.
Liberal Arts was an art mann
Fr "Golden State" And "radnor and Lee" Are so damn good
I was so lucky to run into him on the subway, I freaked out and screamed "Josh!!" on the top of my lungs, but he didn't hear me so I went up to him shaking and asked "You're Ted from HIMYM right?" he looked at me and said "I used to be..."

Love your work Josh!!
Didn't know that celebirties rode the subway
Noamias Even A-List actors like Keanu Reeves do it, it is not unusual, they're regular people too.
Mauricio Arias Oh thanks for the answer. I thought they only drove around in expensive cars
How was he in person dude?
gmeister he looked a bit sad... He was probably having a bad day or something
I love Josh’s interviews. His voice is so calm and gentle.
Ted with the break-up beard
Daniel I thought the same thing. Haha
He apparently grows it so he doesn’t look like Ted Mosby
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Mosbius Designs has failed
Harris McWinved But Alex and Jessica's love reminds us that...
I haven't laughed like this in years.
Thank You!!!

yeah, its like he didn't play a character, he was just being himself and that's why he was able to pull it off so well.
I think Alyson is a lot like lily in a lot of ways

Wtf he even talks like Ted. I thought that was an act. I expected him to be more monotonic in real life
They actually made Ted more Josh since it just felt natural on him. I believe they did this from season 2
They based some traits of the characters on the actors, Barney's magic and showmanship, Robin being from Vancouver, Marshal making silly songs etc.
I am obsessed with these interviews, Sam. You are an excellent interviewer and I am constantly looking forward to the next video.
I love seeing interviews of Josh Radnor because he’s known for playing Ted Mosby on how I Met your mother but he’s so much more than that. He’s got so much depth and substance to him and he has a genuine gentle calm about him that is really soothing to listen to
he is exactly like ted mosby , such a great guy btw
Very interesting... HIMYM was about "following your charm"
He was meant to play that role. The show impacted so many lives.
i will forever adore this guy
Emmy Winner: Not Yet
Emmy Nominee: Not Yet
Emmy Deserving: Absolutely
Hey Josh, If you are reading this I just wanted to say you are an amazing actor and I absolutely loved your character Ted Moseby. Thank you.
oh, God... He's so humble & cool
I love how deep he is
Josh seems very, very different from almost everybody in Hollywood. That’s a very, very good thing.
Theres something about the way he delivers his speeches--its really mesmerizing 🤔
Damn his voice even sounds like Ted. Shocking dedication to the role even when it's done 😱😱
lmao the writers made Ted more philosophical to be like Josh so that the charactee felt more natural but now all it means is that everything Josh says sounds like Ted oh no ahahahahahhahha

He is just.. a beautiful soul
I have thankfully stopped thinking about that show. It's over, time to move on. The stuff he's doing now is great.
WrenchNinja it’s never over how dare you
What’s he doing now? I haven’t seen him in anything
+Ernesto Martinez He's in a band now
It’s still my favorite show
it's over, get over it ppl
Under every single video with Josh Radnor you can find at least one comment saying: Classic Schmosby
Josh Radnor is so charming and funny, I'd love to see him on other shows it's so annoying how underrated he is
Loooove the black and white interview! Josh melts my heart 💙
he is just such a beautiful soul
Such an articulate speaker
He's awesome. He made the best sitcom ever
Ted still not suited up...
Please bring teddy Westside back.. just do whatever cast him in avengers.
No. Leave well enough alone. Hollywood is notorious for breaking shit that didn't need fixed.
He is such a Beautiful human being.
Watching this in 2020 and I would love us all to have this amount of self awareness. Damn.
No, "you" will always play a factor in my life, Josh.
Was one of my favorite sitcom since friends, didn't like the ending but didn't get to mad about it
I completely feel the same way. Friends is my all time fave, but this is a good second.
HIMYM ended perfectly. When you really think about it, you'll understand.
Why does it feels like he is still in character?
Josh Radnor is the best , his so charming and charismatic 😍
I love his voice.
love josh randnor

20 years from now, we need a HIMYM Reunion just like the Friends Reunion.
Huge respect for Josh.
i hope he comes in HIMYF and many other movies or shows
Josh radnor is such an underrated actor.
I love How I met your mother. It my second favorite TV show
I said SUIT UP Ted!
Fantastic actor👏🏻
HIMYM is not a sitcom, it is a romance/comedy about both love and life respectively.
Teeeed!!! I missed your voice!!!
"Ted Shmosby, Architect."
I love him!!!
He is amazing!!
I cant never see josh radnor but I can see him as ted...
As an artist, it's probably frustrating to be successful playing one role, but at the same time can't shake off branching to another endeavor without mention of said successful role.

this guy is intelligent.
He is SO Ted Mosby in real life.
I dont understand why he is so negative about playing Ted Mosby. Watching interviews and seeing the actor talk and act, he honestly IS Ted Mosby. Classic Teddy Westside!
Josh Radnor is so handsome jeez
can anyone tell me why are these episodes not on Netflix? I never get to see the episodes I want to watch there.
That's is a drawback being a actor on sitcom , whenever Josh plays a role in some other movies first thing strike in people's mind is Ted mosby . It is something that can't take off from their minds .
I'm sorry Ted, I just can't move on and let you gooo :((( 😂😂
#HOW_I_MET_YOUR_MOTHER_FOREVER
HIMYM IS AWESOME AND IT SHOULD RETURN TO NETFLIX!!!!
I keep waiting for the punch line xD
how is HIMYM not a sitcom?
These actors are in the same level of type-cast as the harry potter actors lol
can anyone please tell me, why these interviews are in black and white ? is there some meaning ? reason ?
He looks better with a beard
♩back in 2005 i was in a famous Tv Shoow♩
when he speaks all I hear is ted mosby idk why
Civil war surgeon? IS THAT WHAT UR GONNA PLAY IN GREYS ANATOMY????
Anuska Pradhan That was who he played on Mercy Street. It was on PBS, and you can probably find it on Prime. It’s terrific.
