Having revived from his wound, Jason Voorhees takes refuge at a cabin near Crystal Lake. As a group of co-eds arrive for their vacation, Jason continues his killing spree.
Jason’s hitting the dance floor.
🤣😂
Weird coming from Michael Myers
Get on the dance floor starts chopping people's head off I call this mowing the lawn
He's killin it!
That's right Mikey
Most unforgettable f13 opening. RIP richard Brooker and gloria charles.
Wow Gloria "played the hell out of that part" as my Mom would say. It shows you don't need a lot of screentime to make an impact RIP
Rip Gloria Charles and Richard Brooker ❤❤
I bet everyone in the theater got up on their feet and rocked out to this
100% the best opening Friday sequence. Ever.
Frr
Facts
@@AlexKaneROTN it is the best opening
Whenever Jason's chasing you, just turn this music on. He'll drop his machete and dance to it. You've gotta join him too
Best opening. This one kicked ass! 3D was a new thing.
No it wasn't. 3D been around since the 50s. It was just a new process of 3D.
Do you have the two Friday the 13th documentaries: "Camp Crystal Lake Memories" and "His Name Was Jason?" If so, do you like them?
Ryan ? Nope this is the first movie ever to have 3D
@@patricksfence2231 No, Ryan is correct.
3D films were invented way back in 1915 in a basic form, and the early 50s was the heyday for 3D movies.. there were hundreds of them. The 80s was the resurgence thanks to 3D color films in higher quality and then died down again in the 90s, to come back in the 2010s for a short while. 3D comes and goes every few decades.
In the 30s there were even 3D cartoons like Superman and Betty Boop.
3D is actually a really simple idea, that can be implemented in much more technological ways.

@@patricksfence2231 Sure weirdo. Go go make some more weird videos weirdo.
I don't know what it is but part 3 is my favorite in the whole series.
Same. I think its because its the "purest" of all the Fridays
I like this movie better than part 8 or 9
It’s not my favorite in the series but Part 3 is what got me into the franchise in the first place.
@Vistar Abril The Final Chapter.
@Vistar Abril that is a good I’m planning on watching Part 3 later tonight. Then Part 4 tomorrow to count up the days to the actual day itself.
I love this music
It's Disco
best Friday the 13th movie opening
Yes
@@Cineqc part 4 and part 6 next
Sorry, but I have to go with Jason Takes Manhattan song.
@@MrWillyWonka you fool
@@MrWillyWonka the intro song is kinda cool, but the whole movie...trash.
I don’t know why but I was expecting her eyes to open. That would of been creepy af
Initially they did open, but they realized it looked like shit so you can see them freeze the shot just before she does. It was a legit actress, under a table w her face done up in makeup like Mrs Voorhees.
Near the 0:11 mark you can just barely make out a little twitch in her left eye.
@@leescott8412 was about to say that
@@FreneticZetetic shoot thats crazy. I always wondered why they put the text coming out her eyes
@@SICK47 Right? I remember someone on the F13 forums trying to argue that wasn't the case, when it's literally written in the script lol. The More You Know! Happy New Year!
Totally rad opening actually.Straight up the best opening of the Friday The 13th Franchise. The early 80s Disco-Funk music and the eye popping in your face opening credits too. So funky and spooky!
This song still fire after all these years!
Watched this for the first time recently, no one told us the opening slapped so hard lol, we were dancing in our seats
Best opening of Friday The13th ever!
What a masterpiece ☠️
No cap
Always thought a fun alternate would be if Mom opened her eyes, stood up with her body miraculously re-attached, and boogied throughout the credits.
always loved the intro to part 3
Like any normal person
WE MAKIN' IT OUTTA CRYSTAL LAKE WITH THIS ONE🔥🔥🔥🔥🪓🪓🪓
The absolute best Friday the 13th movie is part 3 hands down 💯💯💯💯💯💯
Part 3 will always be my personal favorite. Where Jason gets his hockey mask. Also Jason's new outfit. In the first half of the film they where covering up his face. One of the best opening intros. R.I.P to Richard Brooker he passed way back over ten years ago.
The best Friday the 13th opening music for me.
The funkiest intro music to a slasher 😭😭😭
This intro tune is badass but the 'gives me chills part' is from 0:00 to 0:30. Dunno why but the words of the movie title and beat starting after seeing Pamela's head with the original Jason tune playing first just makes me grin lol.
We were rewatching all of the Friday the 13th movies this week and I completely forgot about this intro!!!
Shelly has hands down the best character in Part 3. He was awesome. I think out of the characters, erm, victims, in the franchise, Shelly from this movie and Julius from Takes Manhattan are top for me.
RIP Richard Brooker (1954-2013)
Ирина Гуцкова had the pleasure of meeting him back in 09. A real character. Gave us all quite a shock when he cracked down his machete on the table. A pregnant lady said her unborn baby jumped at the sound but Brooker just smiled. He is missed.
How did he die
I thought the movie came out 1982?
@@AndyForelli1988 Richard brooker was born in the 50s and got the role of jason in 80s
Ok then.....
It's funny how most of the Friday The 13th movies, the opening credits have standard slasher music but I suppose the producers were watching Soul Train one Saturday morning and thought "The horror kids need to BOOGIE."
Cool opening with this funky version of the theme.
Jason doing the snorkel to this
This intro theme is a lot like 1970s and 1980s Italian horror cheese. I used to hate it but now I fucking love it.
quite possibly...the best opening music on horror film
They finally released a set that has the real 3D version (Shout Factory) , no red/blue glasses crap. You have to have a bluray player & TV that supports 3D but it looks amazing!!!
This is literally on my spotify. That's how good it is. Even when I listened to it the first time, my autism came to me and started dancing like a maniac. Harry Manfredini and Micheal Zager did a fantastic job on this theme just for the 80's.
Jason meets Disco-Funk!
I saw a 3D screening of the movie last night at Screamfest LA. Very cool to see these credits extend off the screen.
God this hit so hard
If you do not get up to dance to this... Well you don't have a pulse!!!
LOL! See my posts on this if you can find them. The latest updated one is currently at the top.
Yeah, because Jason slit you open.
I post this every friday the 13th on my story just because it’s my favorite intro from the whole franchise, and I need other people to hear how good the song is 😂
I always think Pamela's head would open her eyes when the music started playing
She was supposed to open her eyes. They talk about it in Crystal Lake Memories. They were going to have her eyes open and then decided that it was stupid
Yes I don’t know that the film title cames from her eyes that I thought that her eyes open and run out of my room
I saw this in 3D and the effects were hilariously good. The credits were about 1cm away from your face.
That bass 💯
Play this after Thriller
This intro is so damn stupid I love it.
Sums up the entire franchise lol
nra3 zehuti true

The smoke in the sky makes the song even more creeper
I imagine this theme shocked audiences at the time as they weren't expecting the shift in tone to 80s disco so the negative reception probably was why they went back to the original theme for the other movies.
Who needs MORNING coffee while jaming to this 😅
I dont know how this song isnt a staple of every Halloween party soundtrack
When I first watched part 3, which was about a week ago. I was caught off by the funk, but I’m all for it! Sounds so damn good.
2 nights ago, I swear someone drove by our house and this song was blasting out the car stereo.
Dance Fever starring Danny Terio and special guest Jason Voorhees
The Disco theme for Jason!
I'm planning to make a movie in my film class. A scary movie. I'm using this exact intro and music to start my movie because I know a lot of my teachers in the school knows the 80's!
This slaps! Just rawatched this movie for the billionth time last night. Love Friday the 13th movies!
Best intro music
…as Mrs. Voorhees’ head offers us a TITLLLLE CAARRRD. WOAHHHHH
This WOAHtastic credit sequence is the only unique one of the first seven films, with its 3-Dimensional text and it’s memorable disco version of the Friday the 13th Score 1:15
DISCO, BABY
Music of 70’s porno movie xD
Debbie Does Camp Crystal Lake.
@@xemnas9098 😂🤣
Hahahaha
I don't see it
JASON DOES IT~

I love this intro it slaps
Friday the 13th Part III: Cuttin up the dance floor
Jason's coming....EVERYBODY BOOGIE!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The opening is probably the best part of this movie
Spooky Disco rules
Its close to midnight... something evils lurking from the daaark. Oh wait.
Cause this is killer…. Killer night he’ll stalk you from the lake and he’ll give your mom a fright
@@xmessager6182 Perfect😔👏😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂
I smoked to much weed and this intro just came on.
lets get groovy with Jason on the dance-floor "its murder on the dance floor"
dont u wish they would make a F13 game halloween dlc with this type of music in it!! 💯💯💥🤞
It just makes me wanna laugh! I still imagine Jason dancing in the barn, moving his arms out wide and kicking his legs out a bit wild as he "gets off" on what he kept on getting away with.
They should have filmed the scene I think with some of those trying to survive watching him hoping he wouldn't spot them!
I wish we still had movies that did weird stuff like this.
The Late Richard Brooker as Jason
0:14- My older brother loves to dance to this theme 😂😂😂
this theme is so lit
Every other jason intro being serious meanwhile part 3:
1982 this movie Thriller by Michael Jackson Poltergeist on the big screen how much better could life been in the early 1980's?
Love how groovy this is
It reminds me of the opening credits of Jaws 3D
FRIDAY THE 13TH Part 3 CH CH CH HA HA HA🎃🎃🎃🎃
I fecking love this opening 😂
This opening is SOOOO 1980s!
WOWSERS I'm counting this as a banger
Awesome!
This movie marks the debut of Jason’s trademark iconic hockey mask.
I watch this part with my parents in the Friday the 13th since 2014or15 maybe till 12 midnight.
Best opening ever. The music is top notch b
SO DAMN FUNKY, 80s Please Return 🙏
Best theme song
I think I was 12 years old the first time I watched this one. It was broadcasted only once and at 3:15AM, so I went to sleep early that day (And had to sleep with my parents because the only TV with access to cable was on their room 😂). It was hard to resume sleeping after the final scene tho
Best theme Halloween song ever made
I will forever love this song my childhood
What was good is that it’s horroh movie but the opening music just makes the fear of you watching just reduces the fear!
Am I watching a 70s porno starring Michael Strapon?
Amazing
That groove, tho... Who did this?
Friday Night Fever
This song plays in Jason's head everytime he murdered someone.
Man i was dancing to that!
When I saw it for the first time I was like damn, this shit hitting hard, i can see people pop locking to this
The shit is beyond dope..
first the film starting wasnt 3D then they made a background for the 3D title card
This is a dope opening movie song XD
Jason gets his Hock kills teens and breakbeats so 1982.
This is Halloween music!
