It would be a neat sort of gimmick if Archaon's name in the campaign was just 'Archaon' and it is changed to 'Archaon the Everchosen' once you collect all his unique items.
That would be very cool
that was sort of a thing in warhammer 1 with generic lords where if you leveled them up enough they would get titles as part of their names... sort of like the ogres do now that i think about it

I actually swear to god I saw him with just Archaon instead of Archaon the Everchosen on the campaign map once.
It was after I'd spent about 9 turns chasing his ass down as Boris with an army of bear riders, so it was pretty appropriate too.
By the end of this the Advisor is going to give up and become a legendary lord himself. Ideal in every way as long as you don't mind playing as the Advisor.

Would I mind getting this game to play as a elusive and mysterious advisor who's knowledge is vast?Heck no heck I would probably put it on my bucket list to buy the game if the advisor were to be a lord.
There was a fan theory that he IS a Legendary Lord, named Engrimm van Horstmann. Aside from the Cabal, their backstories are very similar, except its a cursed medallion and not a book.
I'm pretty sure it ended up debunked in game 2, but it would have been (and could still be) a cool twist later. Engrimms a buffed up guy though and a great warrior/wizard of Tzeentch who rides a unique dragon. But chaos can warp and mutate, and who's to say he couldnt end up forming the cabal and becoming the classic chaos sorcerer near the end of the games lifespan....
Maybe with the next Tzeentch lord pack, that twist will be revealed?
We need an honest advisor for kholek where he brings up archaon serving sigmar, please!

That "13th Everchosen" punch hit him so hard that I felt it all the way over in Bretonnia. Despite being squatted, at least we're only the second iteration of a legendary story that's actually remembered across human civilization and time. Chaos just seems like a lot of angst, cope, and retconned nonsense so people won't remember how badly it regularly loses.

I attribute Chaos winning to cheating. Once the Skaven joined Archaon, they become a non-entity. The Forces of Order defeated both of them, and Chaos only won because of Manfred's betrayal. That is hilarious, given the Skaven were hyped up as invincible when they were the focus, even though in previous lore, they could lose even when united.
In short, they cheated.

@@newnamesameperson397 But Chaos' final victory was because of Manfred's betrayal. And the Skaven raising so much of the world was when they have their god-mode cheats. When the Skaven weren't raising the world, the elves were being stupid. Hence Chaos cheated, almost everyone was being stupid, and even with that, Chaos was given victories it didn't deserve.

@@ThomasFFoolery8383 Archaon was the 13th and final everchosen. The number 13 is important for the skaven. They are ruled by the council of 13 with seat number 13 on the council being reserved for the great horned rat.
All the chaos gods also ahve a number associated with them and the grat horned rat has (obviously) the number 13.
And in the Endtimes the Great Horned Rat ascended to the position of Chaosgod

Him being the 13th goes a long way of explaining why the Skaven OWNED the end times
The funny thing is that Chaos is now more fun than ever to play, these mechanic upgrades and ability to upgrade units on the battlefield have made the faction powerful and really fun. I recently rampaged through half the map with Archeon and Kolek in different campaigns.

Archaeon has quite a powerful faction now. he also rides a steed that is actually big enough to carry him.
One of the treasures of the Everchose, the Ed of Sheeran, was placed onto Crown of Domination (which is NOT the Helm of Domination) as a third eye by Be'Lakor as part of Archaon's coronation. The Ed lets the wearer see into the future, foresee incoming attacks and defend against them.
You know who also has a thing on their forehead that lets them see the future? That's right, King Crimson, making Archaon a JoJo reference.

Honestly if Archaon had to be a special number of everchosen, instead of going for 13 because "haha unlucky number" I would preffer it being 30, which is the result of adding the numbers related to each chaos god, 8, 7, 6 and 9 for Khorne, Nurgle, Slaanesh and Tzeentch respectively.
Umm the number for slaanesh is actually 69, duh

he should have roasted him over having basically infinite lives in his two novels (moreso the first one). Am serious, in the Archaon novels, if he dies before becoming a full Everchosen (getting all the artifacts), he'll literally respawn as if he never died. I think Be'lakor somehow did that, but yeah, dude freaking had cheating codes on, lmao. Freaking Mary Sue.
Meanwhile Abaddon is out here getting shit done on one life, and the gods didnt even notice him until he claimed Drach'nyen

I actually like the warriors of chaos change, hordes are extremely difficult to use, and being the figure head of norscan tribes makes more sense, seeing as most norscans would cut open their newborn if any of the faction leaders even gave them a nod

Is 13 an important number in chaos cause in both fantasy and 40k something big happens for chaos on the 13th try. Archaon is the 13th everchosen and Abbadon destroyed Caida during the 13th black crusade.
That's why I don't accept the End Times turning into age of sigmar. ARCHAON was already failing after he retreated to Brass Keep. Just like Asavar Kul, he is a wave of chaos tide, but waves pass. And after that empire and forces of order would re-birth like they had before. Like when Magnus defeated Kull.
