When you started talking about the privileges, it brought back some funny memories because I was stationed at ft Sam when they stopped the off post privileges, over night passes, etc for the ait students….the looks on their faces was priceless 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@kyonnap_ I think in big army’s eyes, if you take away some of the major distractions in ait maybe they’ll be more focused and move on to the next step and utilize those skills in a unit 🤷🏿♂️. When they did have them privileges, soldiers was doing what soldiers do….all the usual stuff they not supposed to do 🤣🤣🤣, So putting together a packet for a article 15 and/or getting the boot was done real quick. Depending on what you did, it either cost more money to keep you in ait longer or they just wasted money on a soldier who couldn’t even get past ait, so it sucks that you can’t decompress your mind from learning your job, but it kinda makes sense when you look at that way.
I’m going to have to create a condensed version so that I can pass it along. Because I’m getting asked from more than one person and it’ll be too much to send out. So I’m gonna try to hop on that for y’all 😭
You are AMAZING! Like seriously. You seem like such a well rounded individual it's so refreshing to see. If I'm anything like you when I at least get through AIT I'll be proud of myself. You touched on everything that MATTERS and it is very appreciated. I'm in the 68 series as well and you just made me so excited about everything just from your honesty, I wish you nothing but the best.
Despite of being babysat for 4 months , I bet that did wonders for your bank account. I happy for you just thinking about the number of zeros and commas. Do they make you/recommended sell your car , since you can't use it for 8 ( AIT + basic) months?
Yesss! I saved up a lot of money during traddoc. Soldiers just need to ensure that they don’t spend their money on useless things during AIT. And nope, you’ll just keep your car where you left it and send for it when it’s time
One quick correction, drill sergeants was a thing already in AIT I think it was around 08 or 09 when they started talking about taking them out, but by that time I was already at my 1st or 2nd duty station when it was done🤷🏿♂️. In 2016 is when it came out that they were bringing them back.
Thank you for watching! 🥰 best of wishes to you!! And I will be uploading part 2 in a couple of days. So make sure you’re subscribed so you’ll be notified!
Owee I know!!! I didn’t have to be there this far into the summer! I was only there through a little fall, all of the winter, and a little bit of Spring
Yes I understand. For the most part, it depends on what unit you’re attached to. If you’re attached to the hospital, you’ll live in their barracks and be attached to one of their companies. If you’re attached to another unit, then you’ll be in their barracks and company.
Besides Privates thinking you think you’re better than them.. it’s okay 😂 a lot of DS respect it since they know for SURE you’re coming in with a degree
This is unrelated but did you meet any 68Fs if so did they speak about their experience?
29:52 Yes please share the curriculum please. Awesome video by the way. I’m considering reclassing next year.
Ok I got you. Thank you for watching and make sure you’re subscribed so you’ll be notified ❤️

Wow so they did that even without COVID being the reason? That sucks!

Is it possible to get in touch with you for that curriculum? I’m an MOS-T, my report date at Fort Sam is in 2 weeks!

Ohhhh ok! Thank you so much for the correction. I kept hearing they brought them back, I guess I assumed they were never there lol
Leave for basic in a week (Fort Sill lol), thanks for this video, it gave me the best idea of what to expect from AIT.

@@kyonnap_ Is the real army better than tradoc?
How do you know what company and barrack you will get for you 68 mos?? (I hope you understand what I meant)

@@kyonnap_ are you saying we can choose a unit?
No ma’am. You’ll get orders stating what unit you’re going to. It’s completely random for the most part
What was basic like as a specialist?

Thanks for the great content 😊
