Compond can have trouble with the first turbo feeding the second turbo hot air, making the setup inefficient because the intake air can reach very high temperatures. A intercooler or Water sprayer of some sort is often needed between the turboes to control the intake temps. I think the only reason he can run without a intercooler between the turboes could be because the first big turbo only makes 1 bar or something fairly low, and the second smaller one does most of the pressure difference.
I have been telling all the UA-cam drag racers to go compound turbo setup for the longest time and none of them took it to heart ! Glad someone is showing that I'm right ! Tear them up brother !

@@bss9829 Why? The current setup would do 1400ish at sea level, with the gates held shut. His setup has the head room for a mid 7 power wise, keeping the nose down is their real problem, a more responsive compound setup would make it even harder to keep the wheels down.

I love kyle's mr2 turbo setup but he should really start to mess with the nose sensor to keep the car down ! Is thought that its gonna slow the car down is just plain wrong! Lifting your foot is way slower than the computer cutting a bit of timing

Question... there is a 1550hp honda s2000 that traps 6.68 in a quarter mile... but there is an awd civic that has 1500hp that traps a 7.45, even with the awd setup it still cant get to 6s, is this because the s2000 has a 50:50 weight distribution and the civic has 62/38? or better suspension will fix the problem?
Here in England we have a tiny drag community. I'd love if you did a "idiot's guide" to drag racing and the way turbos/drag setups work. I love 1320 and I've bought your merchandise (super rare for me). I just wish I understood more about the scene in the states. This s2000 is more relatable for me as we have them here. But the US 'traditional' drag cars, we only get as super rare imports. So half of them I've never heard of 🤣

And one guy blew his radiator that was mounted behind his seat I believe. He is in the ICU with really bad burns. Lots of people were getting hit with shrapnel from the burnouts. He doesn't show it on his channel and he turned off the comments for the video. Justin Swanstrom has the video on his channel. The kid had on a hoodie and shorts driving a death kart in a burn out competition. Basically Cleet is catching it for not having better safety standards. He went to law school so he should know better but I'm sure he will change his practices after all this. Hopefully he doesn't get sued. I'm sure they signed a waiver but still.. People said they saw that guys skin peeling off when he was walking away
