I gotta agree with you on that! Some owners just prefer fun over value though. I think a stock example is honestly not as fun and explains why there is such a huge aftermarket support for the S2000.😁
I'm still tweaking my F22 until she blows. Then I might go K series. Buuuttt. I have a J35A8 on the shelf I'm also thinking about putting in there next.
Finally someone recognized k series is better and has better potential than f series. F series is good by no means. It's bullet proof but k series has better tuning capabilities and better torque band from low to high.
A big trend in the US is F24 builds. Makes lots of power and decent torque but reliability is better and overall a cheaper swap than going full K24. I know a couple grassroots racers who run K series and most seem to end up regretting it. This is strickly due to reliability issues. Lots of vibration problems and things breaking under dedicated track use. Plus side is they're very cheap for a short block but then it could cost you a weekend, a race and time.. Definitely like to see further improvements from the aftermarket with the K series in ap1/2 s2000s. I'm running a 120k mile F20 lightly modified and tuned. Track it once a month and has been extremely reliable.
K20 might be a better engine and produce way more power with mods specially in a NA set up where the f20 is pretty much maxed out. But I still love the f20/f22 it has its own sound that I love, unless it blows maybe I’ll consider a k20/24.
been trying to get my hands on one, and I'm sure it was in the video and I just didn't hear it, but where can I get a k24a3 engine? I live in Michigan so not a lot of car enthusiast here so i cant just go into a shop and there it is.
It’s not cheaper if you add in the cost of the swap itself you’re already out five to 6K you can have a reliable 500 hp F-series for that kind of money. Know if money is no object to you then yeah I would agree. The K-series probably is the battery engine if you’re trying to build it.
I allways considered this comparation unfair. U are comparing the same gearbox with a k24/k20 that has more hp with "shorter gearing". To compare same engine and gearbox capability u should compare something like: f20c with 4.7 fd; f22c with 4.55 fd; k24/20 with a 3.8 fd. The only direct comparation i had was the k24/k20 head (all stock with dc5 cams) vs f20c, both with the same gearbox. Of course k24 wins hands down because it has less top speed but more aceleration. But put a 4.7 final drive or even shorter in the f20c and compare again
Fucking Mint S2K. I once heard the F20C is essentially a FWD motor that was made RWD using an adapter plate. The more I see video's like this I sit back on the fence about selling my AP1. Great video Clay!

This is just a nice and beautiful S2000…
I'm still tweaking my F22 until she blows. Then I might go K series. Buuuttt. I have a J35A8 on the shelf I'm also thinking about putting in there next.
Sick video. Next time can give us some time with the car sounds only. Would have liked to hear that thing through a few gears by itself.
I’m good. F22C FTW
You had me at Air conditioning 🤣 AC is must for me.
Finally someone recognized k series is better and has better potential than f series.
F series is good by no means. It's bullet proof but k series has better tuning capabilities and better torque band from low to high.
That crank start sounds just like my k24z crv hahaha btw nice build man love it 😀
A big trend in the US is F24 builds.
Clay having good filming skills, good camera quality and good content still under 100k😂 help our boy get to 100k
6:40 “before we get started on this video”
Sir it’s half way over already lol
K20 might be a better engine and produce way more power with mods specially in a NA set up where the f20 is pretty much maxed out. But I still love the f20/f22 it has its own sound that I love, unless it blows maybe I’ll consider a k20/24.
been trying to get my hands on one, and I'm sure it was in the video and I just didn't hear it, but where can I get a k24a3 engine? I live in Michigan so not a lot of car enthusiast here so i cant just go into a shop and there it is.
If you respect the legendary S2000 and yourself as an s2000 owner, you should never k swap!!
It’s not cheaper if you add in the cost of the swap itself you’re already out five to 6K you can have a reliable 500 hp F-series for that kind of money. Know if money is no object to you then yeah I would agree. The K-series probably is the battery engine if you’re trying to build it.
Miss my little s2k. 2001 brand new Grand Prix white.
WOW that thing is beautiful
those fender vents... what kind? where to get one?
I allways considered this comparation unfair. U are comparing the same gearbox with a k24/k20 that has more hp with "shorter gearing". To compare same engine and gearbox capability u should compare something like: f20c with 4.7 fd; f22c with 4.55 fd; k24/20 with a 3.8 fd. The only direct comparation i had was the k24/k20 head (all stock with dc5 cams) vs f20c, both with the same gearbox. Of course k24 wins hands down because it has less top speed but more aceleration. But put a 4.7 final drive or even shorter in the f20c and compare again
what type of fenders and front bumper does this thing have??
Amazing content as always, love your show Clay. ❤️
What a car.
Oh SHt that was westall road... cool. My neck of the woods. Just got to keep an eye out for HWP at the top hehehe
Fucking Mint S2K.
I once heard the F20C is essentially a FWD motor that was made RWD using an adapter plate.
The more I see video's like this I sit back on the fence about selling my AP1.
Great video Clay!
BTW I've had my S2K since 2011 still has under 200K on the clock ;)
The F20C was a purpose built motor specifically for the S2000 and nothing else. It was always a rear wheel drive motor
Install looks super clean. Is all that aero on the front street legal?
Impressive camera work in the intro.
Only way I'm swapping in a k24 over my f22 is if it blows. Something about swapping a Honda odyssey engine in an s2k just doesn't seem right to me lol
What side view mirrors are those?
What engine mounts did u use? Looking to kswap it into a toyota celica
Are the over fenders put on with double sided tape? Really interested in them
bruh this video is so damn beautiful
Hi Sir i do have an honda cu2 accord 2011 is it good to do stagge1?
Beautiful car
When the camera showed the engine within the first 15seconds of this clip I muttered aloud "oh my gawd. Mmmmmmmm"
Excellent video!
BEAUTIFUL CAR!
Nice, my next build but with a turbo!
Hello Sir could I do a K24 into my Ford Cougar . Sorry for asking but I really want to do it.
