Alejandra Moreno La verdad no tiene sentido, no se ve que vaya a irse a un lado y la acrobacia que había hecho antes era relativamente sencilla (hacia el frente con la vista en la viga) es la caída más simple que e visto, casi hasta parece que no le interesaba pasar a la final.

Sorry, but I don't understand why she didn't try to save her unique acro series, she should have do the bhs+loso (like in 2010, that was very consistent). Since her problem during the BB EF 2014, she didn't understand how to save her routine with an another acro series. So sad....
I'm not sure why she stopped the BHS+LOSO. Her BHS+Back tuck was nice too. I'm guessing back tumbling on the beam is somehow hard with her back problems? But then she does an Onodi so who knows lol
Can anyone more in the know tell me why the acro series was such a struggle for her? Why did she chase this combo of forward moves for so long when it so often went wrong? Why not just go for bhs-loso and call it a day? Was there an injury that made bhs's on beam a problem for her?
I know I am a year late😭 but she had a mental block going backwards on beam so that was what was preventing her from doing bhs - lose series from 2011 to 2018
I've never bumped into this till now and I must say that it was dead painful to watch. I think that for some unknown reason she had convinced herself that she didn't deserve her place in the finals so she had no other choice than sabotage her own routine. It's amazing what guilt can make to human resources.

Most competitors have said she’s friendly and in her Olympic Channel video she said that they’re competitors on the floor but friends off it. She just looks very intense. She’s had to carry the team for years and is always the first to comfort her teammates.
I think NBC desperately wants that to be the story, they lean heavily into the "Diva" angle with her always, and I think that influences both fans and other media. I think she just doesn't have any time for the happy gymnast "just here to do my best" PR nonsense, and nobody in Russia expects that from her either so why bother? Don't believe any of her competitors have ever said an unkind word about her however. The vibe between her and Biles almost looks friendly at times (not saying they're friends, just that they seem to be a little warmer than just cordial).

No way she should've came off. It's such a shame because up until that point it was going really really well and she could've made the beam final.

she couldve stayed in beam but she was trying to connect 2 flight elements, wich is a requirement. not doing so means a big deduction

She was so determined to keep that Aerial WO to Aerial WO...very stubborn but she probably KNEW she could do it that's why she kept it.

I still think about what would have happened if that fall never happened and she had reached the BB finals
