Suit is printed out of PolyMax PLA from Polymaker. Use code EMILYTHEENGINEER for 10% off on polymaker.com/
Yeah!!!!!!!!!! This is cool 😎. I've actually decided to make my own iron man suit using 2 3d printers, so thanks for helping give me confidence for that!
I thought you was making a crossbones?
@@smarturtlelol I am, I have about a month left on that, Then I start on iron man. I'm also thinking about doing polla dot man lol
@@fakermakerprops3948 cool! good news! my cr 10 came but I ended up replacing the hot end because it overheated but, i fixed it and now I have a working 3d printer. I have been thinking about making a iron man suit too for a little while and now I can.
@@smarturtlelol awesome!! Well good luck!
Great job 👏, you, frank, and all the others are the reason I am building my iron man suit. Thank you for inspiring people to build these suits
Couldn't you wear a flexible/stretchy black skin tight suit and stick all the peices to the suit, and then to get into the suit you just slip on the black suit with all the peices stuck to it? It also increases mobility
But how did you fix the icing problem?
I am sleeping because out their night because I am in india
Hi, I'm struggling on making my MK3 helmet, and I would like to get one of the motorizing kits you talked about. Where can you get one of the motorizing kits?
Nice! Congrats on the sponsor! The suit looks really cool so far!
Excellent progress! Such nice surfaces on those PLA parts. Thanks for the PrintBed code too. Can't wait to see it all come together before your convention :)
Question: I saw in one of your other videos (and you mention in this one) that you connect things with springs (which I imagine that it may be uncomfortable). In similar situations in historical armors they used strips of leather or textile to connect parts of armor (like the plates of tassets if viewed from inside). Is there a reason behind this choice of yours (the use of springs)?
Thanks in advance and sorry for the broken English
Are you gonna paint it like it is in the movie? Or are you gonna paint it like blue? Or even better, paint it its own color? So many choices
Excellent work as usual, Emily! Glad to see you're moving up in the world.
The iteration and improvement upon design after design after design, solving new problems and finding new ways to solve them, reminds me of someone. Um... I think his name was Stank? Tony Stank? That sounds right.
Good lord, how can a person as slim as you have fitment problems with those, LOL! I can only imagine if my fat arse decided to build one of these, that would be a tragic waste of filament. I think the only people that can *comfortably* wear those suits are ex horse jockeys that weigh 90 lbs, but I admire the sheer amount of work that's going into this! Hope it fits! Comfortably!
Question, What settings do you use when printing with TPU filament? I'm new to using TPU and been having trouble with it feeding faster then it; extruding.
What designing program do you use? Like I switch between a few like Tinkercad and Blender but which one do you mainly use?
Those are some nice water-ski (oops meant shoes, LOL), my wife if 6 foot, and she wears 12's so she says she feels your pain (in your feet). She and I are the same size, foot-wise....
How do you know what scaling you need to fit your body? I wanna try and figure it out before I use filament doing trial and error. Any tips?
You should try making something from the new black widow movie
It's really amazing. Love from INDIA ❤️
Hey what 3d printer do you recommend to start on I have a 200 dollar limit what do you recommend
Instead of wearing shoes inside the suit, maybe just wear thick socks or moccasins?
If I ever get the courage to build one of these suits it would probably have to be the Hulk buster because I'm a really big guy. Like, size men's size 13 shoes, big. LOL. Thanks for these vids. Between you, and Frankly Built, there is a huge amount of info and tips. Keep it up!
Waiting for next video 🤩 I have also made one iron man helmet and post that video on my this channel
Thanks for sharing your amazing knowledge
Any pros or cons for doing something like this using a resin 3D printer?
Emily you are an inspiration to any engineer
TWO questions one can you do lives some time soon with like painting or connect parts? SECOND QUESTION can you do a. Q&A some time? (Lol ask a question to ask more questions hahaha)
I wish you would've taken time-lapse video of the printing process for some of those pieces.
Through the magic of UA-cam recommendations, I found a guy called BruceKenobi who put out a video three years ago showing off an iron man suit by Mastor Kang. It's really impressive work, and I thought he might be a good, possible source of information if you run into problems that you need to solve, maybe help you speed up your process. Keep it up Emily!
I have a question! What made ironman's eyes?
Just gonna change the comment number from 69 to 70
So you can’t just push a button and it assembles itself? ;)
YOU"RE DOING AMAZING. KEEP IT UP (excited for the motorization video :D )
The link to polymaker gives a 404 error
Hey, I imagine you have been asked this question a million times so sorry. But what 3D printer do you recommend for a beginner, i don’t own one yet but want to own one that will be able to print large pieces as wanted to build an iron man suit. Maybe a CR10?
You are my new inspiration. Blessings to you
Waiting on a 3D printer I just ordered yesterday, and MAN do I hope I can make something half as cool as this eventually. Love it every time one of these videos pop into my feed.
Would it be better to print all of the suit and then work on smoothing, or make it bit by bit, so totally finish the helmet, then move on to neck, finish, paint, and move down?
all at once, you dedicate a week or how ever long to doing it and fully set up a station and get it done, doing bit by bit means more work and building/removing a work station for each part
@@matthewweinberger7023 cool thanks!
Do you have your own armor version of iron man perhaps?
Opaaa sale nueva IronGirl? Puede ser pa?
Hey i love 3d printing please respond
Makes you appreciate the ancient blacksmiths that made legit plate armor. Some of them are very articulate and allow you to be quite athletic
Looks great!
Dats my fervoreat hero iron man...
Wow that's so cool, I really wanted to make one for myself but I feel it's too cost prohibitive
Super sister nice video 👍👍👍
You should use dry ice for the smoke
I love this filament colour… been eyeing buying some rolls myself… very cool 😊
What temperatures does you printer need to handle for TPU??
Thanks. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
You are really pretty 🖤
Why mean to anet:(
I like iron man
Heart breaker😍
