    Hi new to using a heat press. I have a Tusy press from Amazon. I did by a heat gun, but based on your video I was not using correctly. I was aiming at the top platen and noticed temperatures were inconsistent. I will now test the bottom platter. But I would need to test multiple areas before pressing every time I want to heat set an image? If I’m doing multiple shirts, that could be very time consuming. Hope you’re able to respond. Thanks

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 роки тому

      I only test if I am having issues. There is zero reason to test every time you print.

    I have issues with my Cricut mug press, it keeps transferring the gridlines from the infusible ink. Any tips? I’ve not had a successful press yet

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 роки тому +1

      The newest version of Infusible Ink does not have the gridlines because of this issue. Cut away the backing paper as much as possible before you press.

      Thank you so much Angie you are a godsend! I am very new to this and I feel like I’ve gotten pretty good with my cricket. I’ve only pressed a few things using HTV but what I’m not sure about is if I’m getting the correct results when I press the HTV. In your videos your HTV results look perfectly flat and smooth and mine don’t. can you do a video that is very up close what the HTV should look like on a fabric surface. Sometimes mine looks like it’s a little wrinkled or if it’s a little bit bumpy? I’m not sure if that’s a heat problem or I’m not using the right pressure. Or just not following the correct instructions for the HTV. thank you so much.

    Greetings Angie, Is there a way to sublimate a design that is simitransparent. To create a stained glass LOOK on a pice of GLASS taken from a picture frame? As always your videos give us much needed information, So thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us...

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 роки тому

      Well sublimation by nature is transparent. You would just have to find something with a sublimation coating on it that you like that is glass.

    • @darleneroach2848
      @darleneroach2848 2 роки тому +1

      @@AngieHolden Hey Angie so appreciate your quick response. Would 1- 1.5mil laminate sheet work on the glass then the sublimation ink printed design over that cause it to be somewhat transparent, workable? Wonder if I would need to make the whole design layout a bit transparent ( or is that actually doable with sublimation ink designs to get the design a bit more translucent? Many thanks d

    • @AngieHolden

    I adjusted my temperature from 400degrees to 385, and still getting burn marks. Do I try lowering the temperature more or do I need to adjust the pressure arm? And I’m definitely getting one of these temperature guns!!! Thank you Angie for all you do! I love watching your videos!!!

    Question….on the tumbler heat press, when it get to 360, then I put in my tumbler in, temp fall like about 10 to 15 degrees down then rise back up but I am losing the time and yes I am doing this in basement, it little cooler down here..lol So what the best way to handle this? Thank you for great videos…..

    Hi Angie! Is there a way we can adjust the temperature so it’s more accurate ? Like recalibrate ?

  • @leamiles7649
    @leamiles7649 Рік тому +1

    When you test your heat press like this, after heating up for 60 seconds each time and get a reading of 305, is that the correct setting if you only need to press htv for 15 seconds. My heat press temperature is 245 degrees and my reading with the thermometer is 305. I had been using the heat press temperature gage until I noticed that I was burning shirts when I would do sublimation and had it set for 385 degrees.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  Рік тому

      Definitely running hot! For HTV, you need to check with the type of HTV you are using as it varies by brand.

    the temperature of my heat press keeps fluctuating between 299 - 319, when set to 305. Anyone know why this is?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  2 роки тому

      If you are looking at the readout on the press, it will fluctuate. If you are checking the temperature with this method, it will vary but having measurements over your setting would indicate to me that the press is a little hot.

Im serious no other option its the heat press you have or waste thousands of dollars on your entire venture and thats it.
