Matt, grateful for your tutorials. ❤ I learned a lot about how to shoot products. I'll continue shooting various objects and see what I am able to accomplish. 😊
I'm actually really interested in this video, and always really glad that you share such a passion for watches. Good job! I took up watch collecting (and its photography) during lockdown, so this definitely brings back memories, specifically with the date window's cyclops ugly reflection and dust buildup 😅
A great topic well discussed and explained. One more technique possibly worth considering which I've explored for macro previously is "cross polarisation" whereby you combine a polariser on the lens and on the light source. You can get polarisation film to go over your flash head then adjust your CPL in a mirror until it's completely black. This is very effective for cutting reflection. I think it was originally developed for dental photography.
Thank you Matt, A subject thats dear to my heart. I've just started collecting top of the line Chinese watches, like San Martin, which you pay under $500au for. Have a great day. John

Thorough, but simple. Thanks very much M. Cheers!

Matt, check out Carl Taylors dome for shooting highly reflective objects, under 100 USD and it looks great. BTW I'm loving my Omega Apollo Moonwatch.
The clickbait works every time. Well played sir.
How is this clickbait?
