When AC/DC released their new album "Power Up" I asked Angus Young to send a greeting to Dave Grohl ( • NEW 2020 AC/DC INTERVI... . This excerpt shows how Dave reacts to that greeting.
It was such a HUGE pleasure to be able to send online-greetings between two of my biggest idols: Angus Young of AC/DC and Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters/Nirvana ❤️
I've been a huge fan of Dave Grohl ever since I was a teen and fell in love with Nirvana. Dave was always very good at mentioning the bands he and Nirvana was inspired by. So because of the countless Nirvana interviews I watched over the years, I got to know bands like Pixies, Sonic Youth, Dead Kennedys, Flipper and Bikini Kill. That had a HUGE impact on my life and I do believe that I would not have become a music-journalist, had it not been for those Nirvana interviews. I think I watched "Nirvana Live Tonight Sold Out" more than 100 times 🖤🎸

I can just imagine Paul McCartney telling Angus Young I knew your brother when we signed Grapefruit to apple records in the 60s
HUGE AC/DC fan here (number 1 fan :D) and a fan of Nirvana since the Nevermind album came out. If those two bands had hung out back in the day I would have been in seventh heaven. Back then they didn't even acknowledge each other aside from Kurt Cobain saying his first riff he learned on guitar was Back In Black. This was so nice to see!
I loved it when he pretty much hugged himself when Angus said hello. It would be an honor to meet both of these guys. I love David Grohl and I love Angus Young. Both are my heroes. Anyone who is a great rocker I really like. I grew up listening to all of this kind of music. Smells like teen Spirit and Hells bells happen to be two of my favorite songs. Which are among many of Foo Fighters and AC/DC. So I can’t really narrow down any more other than those two. But I have to say I respect both of the bands very much. And it was really nice when he literally almost cried. Very touching moment. I hope one day I can join the proud lineup and path of rockers that guys like these have paved for younger women and men like me wanna walk!
Oooooh! Thank you SO much for sharing your thoughts here on Tiny TV. I can totally identify with your memories of having AC/DC AND Nirvana to be amongst your favorite bands. Same with me. Thunderstruck and almost all songs on In Utero really blew my mind around the age of 13-15 ❤️🎸 Music that sticks with you for all your life 😃👍
@@TinyTV_DK when my mother was pregnant with me she would play AC/DC for me just so I could hear some thing that she knew I was going to grow up and like. When I was a baby I didn’t react very well to lullabies instead I got hard rock and heavy-metal played for me. I remember when I was five years old I got my very first CD and that happened to be back in black. From my mom. I bet you I burned through 19 copies of that CD because I listened to it so much and I still do. I have it download it on all of my devices. Even saved on my Spotify account. I’m 23 now.
Angus Young is an interesting person. An old weak man off stage. A shredding schoolboy on!
Imagine being the jazz band playing at that dinner. No pressure there. Lol.

Thank you so much Basile. My channel is stille quite new (1 year soon) and started out as a 100% Danish channel but shifted focus when I did my Angus Young interview. When the corona pandemic is over, I hope to get the time (and finances) to make the channel bigger and even better. Hopefully lots of musicfans will subscribe and share the content then 🥳
