A all-around great guy and actor. I can't imagine the COURAGE it took for him to take on this role, knowing that critics and Queen fans would be quick to pounce if he did it badly. I've watched some interviews of Malk as he's been promoting this film, and I'm so stuck by how "natural", "down-to-earth", and humble he is. AND, so articulate. No interest in personal life info on actors I like. If I watch a film and think an actor did a great job in it, I'll check him/her out on "Wiki", but it's to see what ELSE they've been in because I'm interested in seeming more of their work. If actors give out some personal info when they're doing interviews to promote a film, I'm okay with them mentioning a few details, but Im MUCH more interested in them talking about their film, the role, etc. Marriages, divorces, other relationships, who they're dating, kids, etc., are not interesting. I'll give an example. Philip Seymour Hoffman (unfortunately,, deceased now) has been one of my FAV actors for years now. I thought he was amazingly good in every role he undertook. Yet, when I learned he died (which I selfishly felt crushed about by I wanted to see MORE of his work), the only thing I knew about him was that he lived in NYC in a "simple" apartment and his "work" was vitally important to him. (Still SO sad that he's gone). I never had an interest in knowing if he was married, single, had kids, or whatever.

This man is so good! One can tell he developed a personal love and respect for Freddie! Freddie has such a natural royal demeanor and impeccable manors. His natural way demanded respect without appearing the least bit selfish. Freddie loved pleasing his audience. Who could not love Freddie Mercury, especially to have the honor of becoming Freddie in a role to honor him? Awesome acting Rami Malek you too earned my deepest respect.

I find it so cool that he's so private. I feel like nowadays we want to know everything about everyone which is kind of strange if you think about it. I know they're celebrities but some things should stay private, especially when they want it. I feel like we're used to constantly seeing youtubers private lifes we're expecting all celebrities (and all other people actually) to be the same.
david: Me, too, which is why I think I prefer "NYC" actors over "Hollywood" ones. I haven't read People in years and nor do I watch programs like ET. No interest in personal life info on actors I like. If I watch a film and think an actor did a great job in it, I'll check him/her out on "Wiki", but it's to see what ELSE they've been in because I'm interested in seeming more of their work. If actors give out some personal info when they're doing interviews to promote a film, I'm okay with them mentioning a few details, but Im MUCH more interested in them talking about their film, the role, etc.
Marriages, divorces, other relationships, who they're dating, kids, etc., are not interesting.
I'll give an example. Philip Seymour Hoffman (unfortunately,, deceased now) has been one of my FAV actors for years now. I thought he was amazingly good in every role he undertook. Yet, when I learned he died (which I selfishly felt crushed about by I wanted to see MORE of his work), the only thing I knew about him was that he lived in NYC in a "simple" apartment and his "work" was vitally important to him. (Still SO sad that he's gone). I never had an interest in knowing if he was married, single, had kids, or whatever.
He chose this life tho.
