The dreaded missing 10mm socket strikes again.
Not missing bro... They are the kings of hide and seek... And they know it. It's a conspiracy man.. They're in it together maaaan. The 60s weren't good to me.
I'm still trying to figure out why they chose to grind the bell housing myself.
@@TheTrollTrollyYeti clearance... Those damn 10 mils are feisty buggers. You Would think the 8s would put up more of a fight, little ones try harder, but no. 10s are the undisputed masters of provocatuity, Ask any professional mechanic.
$26,000-The I REALLY don't want to do that price😂
i was a mechanic for 32 years and that 10 mil socket always had a mind of it's own.
The socket was not forgotten... It was hiding. Those damn 10 mil's have a mind of their own.😊
That driveshaft at 1:20 almost took out the Cankle Sisters in one fell swoop!
that first guy it hit in the shin got messed up.
That thing sounded awful hollow. I thought shafts were solid things which probably would've broken legs rather than barked some shins.
@@amzarnacht6710 Nope, far from it, sure it loses some rigidity over a solid bar, but the weight savings is important both for overall gross weigh in and power loss through the entire driveline itself. Every bit helps keep that inefficiency down.
Holy crap. I’m looking at that bronco burning up in front of mattress firm and think “ that looks familiar”…. That’s like 10 minutes from my house lol. Good thing I wasnt in Nampa that night.
I’m constantly amazed at how some people don’t look after their expensive vehicles properly.
it's because they're expensive bruh... everyone can "afford" the payment, but nobody can afford repair as the warranty expires.
Two common causes for most of these: 1) most car owners don't have a hoist and wouldn't know what they are looking at if they had one; 2) cars sometimes have dramatic issues that the driver couldn't hope to solve on their own, mostly because of point 1.
That's not to mention that some issues are just stupid expensive
Money don't buy brains.
@@InvisibleSquidsand there are cars that would work no matter what. Older ones from end of 90s and beggining of 2000. 1.9TDi clockin easly 500k+ kms with oil changes every "i think there is some liquid libricatin my engine, i should change it or at least look into owners manual how often do I need to change it. Ooh, I'm 2 years and 15k km over."
#1 cause, neglect!
Gotta say, the rust videos are not quite as funny now after finding a hidden rust hole in my firewall.
Or seeing your bed and cab on your truck sitting at an angle to each other one day.
Rust is really a Shit thing to happen - if you dont undercoat your car yourself - somehow nobody wants to Do it. Buy 2 Gallons of Fluid wax, a Handsprayer with Hose and pipe then rent a Lifter and Diy.
@@wildnis5219 Yes. Got cosmolene (RP-2342) and so far it seems to be sealing the undercoat really well. We will see in a year how it holds up.
And it's soooo easy to accelerate with a bit of pool acid concentrate when someone needs some learning.
That video with the truck throwing the drive shaft is exactly why you don't stand that damn close to a vehicle that's on a dyno
That's a great bit of Chinglish on the wall of that tyre 😂
Tlust a soulce, my fliend.
0:51. I love that they spelled "procedures" perfectly. Watch out for those rodily injupies.
If you have text like this on your tires, you know you’re prepared for anything
Glad I'm not rod.
Just had some rodily injupies falling off the starter last week.
@@Carhax You know you're setting yourself up for interesting miles ahead.
That cat was knocking before it even started
Someone forgot to tighten something...
That fifth wheel "installation" would get you Prison in the Uk
The small amount of booger weld didn't confuse me as much as the little standoff blocks they welded onto instead. Someone was higher than giraffe pussy when they put that together.
i bet it came from a farm.
Same in Finland.... Truck industry has very high standards to follow.
Always always always and I mean always do your own oil changes.
0:20 BONUS! Free inspection ports!
1:21 That's one more reason for me to NOT wear flip-flops.
😀😀
That "oil change place" needs to stand behind their work AND workers. I took a 2007 dodge grand caravan into Costco to get tires changed and the tech broke a couple lug nuts off, told us and made an appointment at a local garage to have it repaired THEY MADE THE APPOINTMENT and paid for the repairs. They could have simply glued the lug nuts on and sent us on our way but they didn't!! These shop owners have to and need to do better because word of mouth "business cards" are 10x better than paper business cards.
Absolutely! TRUST and reputation are everything in this industry!
'glued on lugnuts'... that sounds so stupid but I've actually encountered it a couple of times. And the people wanted *ME* to replace their studs.
lmao when costco broke my lug studs they just handed me the broken lug studs and said good luck. at least they rotated the tires.
😮 At least they threw in a tire rotation to soften the blow. Did you end up playingb mechanic and fixing those lug studs yourself❔
@@Carhax no Costco took care of it.
My favorite childhood game.. Driveshaft hopscotch!!!
:)))
A modern, cylindrical take on “roll out the barrel”
How much did it cost to pull trans to fix $7 part?
My first thought too.
Removing, installing, and replacing the $7 transmission part would be a more affordable 🤔
Pretty much the cost to rebuild the tranny... Four digits versus five!
Borat make very good tire, yes, it very nice.
I swear the level of confidence some of these DIY dudes have is mind blowing. Talk about know just enough to fuck something up.
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. And a waste is a terrible thing to mind.
Especially these days when you can find a detailed breakdown of what to do on youtube for most anything... That's how I've done my brakes/swaybars/plugs/coils and all sorts of other stuff. If I don't think I can manage it I don't even try and take it straight to a specialist for my make.
@@amzarnacht6710 Exactly. You have the info right in front of you and many choose to not do any research.
@@Mr.Hooter702 I never thought about that lol. But 100% true. Maybe that’s why working on cars scares me so much. I knew nothing about cars until 3 years ago when I got one, now I’m a tech, and I feel like I need help with everything or I’ll mess something up lol. Luckily I’m gaining confidence and growing independent. But still have plenty of questions.
@@amzarnacht6710 I have a 2002 Saturn sc2. It’s hard to find videos on my exact car, all the s series vary just enough for me to be lost 😂
Luckily I have a gm tech boyfriend who I can constantly harass for help and confirmation
The 3 exhaust made me piss myself 😂

The Cat diesel in the beginning...reminds me of what happened to my bros Nissan when he drove it through standing water in the road.
im sorry, the porsche received a WHAT
LS Swap ☝️
5:25 VTEC JUST KICKED IN BRO!!!
Looks like somebody forgot to torque the rod bolts on that big diesel engine. And someone eng. should put new bolts in that happened so fast you think he just left one bolt off the rod. So funny the guy didn't even notice it was knocking when he was starting it up. What a waste of clean oil.
8:20 Hi Australian here who has been around truck. And no that isn’t safe at all what so ever. But the looks of it, it’s a Road Train truck. So it’s definitely not safe 😂
Everyone is always hatin' on the %&%$! 10mm!!!
I think auto stores need to sell 5 packs of 10 mils.
Change your own oil people, it takes 15 minutes max!
In a modern car? Good luck.
It takes that long to get it on the ramps and remove the skid plate alone. Then the plastic drain plug ever so gently (gotta make sure to buy two, because the mandatory replacement doesn't come with the filter kit) and realize it won't drain properly because it's on ramps.
My sister's 2000 yeah, it's a 15 minute job, or my 1980. Metal pan, metal drain plug properly tightened. But not my 2020.
@amzarnacht6710 I have a 2024 Toyota Camry, it takes me 10 minutes to change my oil. Here's a tip, quit commenting on things you clearly know nothing about
@@donniev8181 Clearly when you go full stupid you do it with both feet and grab on for all you're worth.
Did I say I owned a Toyota, einstein?
@amzarnacht6710 when the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser! You remove one bolt when changing your car's oil and change one filter. How long does it take to remove & replace one bolt and an oil filter dullard?
Yup my apartment complex would love that. Than once I am done I hota go find an appropriate place to dispose of the old oil and filter
You never know where you'll find that 10mm.
Yeah "no oil leaks" in the last clip. All of that old ass dirty crusty rear main oil all over everything. I know blowback is a thing when theres no drain plug but thats not what caused ALL of that oil. F quuck lube places tho lmao
This Episode was great today! 😂
02:33 the hazard and flashing ambers almost synch up
I've noticed on more and more tires that the wording is way off - as in you could tell it was made outside of the U.S. that bad.
@2:02 I think that is a running board support, not exhaust.
Those new broncos are n fire ……….
that first dude is super hype about getting fired lmao.
Just lost his 10mm
@@Carhax imagine pulling an engine. Rebuilding it. Overhaul kit, machine shop, paint. And you say goodbye for $40k in 5 seconds on an engine stand
Emotional damage 110%, now I am working on a new project I was very close to the finishing, I’ve made an mistake and the 8,5kw electric motor fall down directly in the shaft damaging the motor. I was as like 🫠🫠🫠🤬
I like the American TüV/Vehicle Inspection, oh wait.
State inspections? We don’t need no stinking state inspections 😂

7:14 That M-B is not 2020. Looks like a 2011-2015 C Class.
Leaving the socket in the bell housing was his second biggest mistake
I had that squeaking slave cylinder issue, thought it was my clutch going bad. Turned out to need a drop of grease on the rod/cup. Phew.
@6:50 sum ting wong!
I’m only 30sec in and I’m wondering who let the idiot near the cat engine . You can tell it’s not right in the first sec of ignition. Why would you then rev it .? I know this and I’m a bloody carpenter
The engine...that could fit in my lawnmower...perhaps?

I see uncle Rodney came for a visit!😂😂😂
11:03 Let me see this white engine after about 15min of actual service in real life.

We finally see where the 10mm go.
you could always check the clothes dryer.
I will never understand the dyno ppl. Yeah cool you got numbers on paper, lets see it perform instead of standing still. The driver probably has no skill to control it but check out these numbers.
Love the Bluetooth strut
0:20 - OUCH !!!
3:50 How do you tell people what you did without telling them that they're dumb
8:15 $20 says that he bought it from a farmer.
I had a 03 g5 straight piped at muffler shop to prepare for new exhaust that was coming in the mail. The car was up on the lift and the guy who just removed the muffler said "Alright, start her up"
He now knows not to be anywhere close to the exhaust pipe when the cats have been removed with straight piped exhaust while standing directly under car in an enclosed lift bay.
Lets just say, there was alot of swearing, but it's okay because he didn't hear anything afterwards after the engine fired up.
And yes I know all about the problems with engine running horrible, like I said, I was waiting on highflow muffler and cats. I had Osiris tune right after new equipment installed along with motordyne intake spacer and throttle body spacer and larger intake throttlebody installed.
I call bullshit on the 2020 Mercedes with the rotten suspension mount. I bought a 2011 GLK in 2014. I sold it in 2019 with 317,000 Km on the odometer, and the undercarriage had only surface rust.
The brake rotor does not say injury. It clearly says 'injupy.' Lol. And the dummy starter? Yeah I had a starter button installed on my old Chevy. But, as an anti-theft measure, I put a 'Start' label on the _horn._ After all, _I_ know how to start the thing. Anyone who doesn't shouldn't be driving it.
Just out of pure curiosity regarding the last one: HOW did they manage to break the plug? What can be done to fix the problem, if anything? (Repair wise, that is.)
Complaint reads: Sudden unwanted crankcase venting to atmosphere. Investigate.
In that last video, that's the problem with today's "mechanics". All they know how to do is use an impact gun on everything. Idiot probably had it set to tighten and when you crank down on an aluminum bolt, the weakest link will always fail. Now we know who is stronger, the bolt or the impact. The fact that it obviously wasn't like that when you pulled in and they try to say it wasn't them would give me reason enough (as if I needed any other reasons) to boycott that place and not use them anymore. 😳
very good idea..hello everyone.i come from Vietnam❤❤❤❤❤
I have to say ,I don't think the wax will cause any problems unless it covers a duct.dried wax is pretty harmless but a pain in the butter to remove if you try..
We put an AC conditioner pump on a Ford I believe and it was rotating in the wrong direction. And my friend heard something hissing under the dash😅 he stuck his head under there when it exploded😂 he was okay but it's kind of like a shotgun going off
If there was a rating system for inanimate objects that can FUBAR your day 10mm socket gunning for the top
8:39 - I would venture that most of us watching are NOT mechanics. There for, we would NOT know if the welds or whatever on the semi is safe or not since you don’t tell us what we are seeing. Again, tell us what the heck we’re looking at so we can appreciate it as well.
10mm sockets have a annual migration.where they breed before returning
1:40 - That should definitely not happen!
the fact these even made it into a video is bs. most of this crap is stuff that could just be fixed with a roll of duct tape.
How is a 2020 Mercedes completely rotted out underneath? Must have caught the covid. I think there is a typo on the year of vehicle.
see them teeny weeny tapcons “holding” that lift post to the floor slab? it’ll be aaah-at.
later, brand new fard pretend bronco already burnin down
7:13 is a w204 C class. The subframe has a lifetime warranty . hopefully they just took i to the dealer after

On that new truck, yeah, its totally safe. That blue paint is structural. You didnt know that? LOL!
MFR does not stand for manufacture 😂 more like mofo
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that pan under the leak.
Sooooo, instead of dropping the trans to remove the socket the mechanic ground the bell housing? 🤦

Those portable dynos are just stupid. So many bad things can happen.
The last vehicle in the video was a Chevy engine and the drain plugs in those engines are designed to snap off the threads on the plug get narrower the closer to the head of the plug you get it is a BS design from the factory to cause problems

Well I wasn't expecting _that..._
