Dats bcuz we was fresh outta da 90s things was kinda still da same it jus changed a slight bit but like I always tell everyone shit started getting weird like after 09"010" in my prospective I feel like dat and I was born in 91" lol
I use to watch all of telfair highlights before my summer league games back in 2006. I started point and watching his highlights gave me confidence before them games. A true legend.
I guess this was recommended to me when I was listening to Sebastian telfair on Cameron and Mace sports talk show ... Woooow This was 17 years ago and I'm just now seeing it wow This is crazy 😮
I love everything about this video. I'd buy a one-drink minimum ticket to hear "Oh my gawwwd" dude & "I missed it" guy repeat their duo performance. And yes, praise Nick Van Exel!
At 2:52 when u got that type of speed, "The Shamgod" move is very lethal to have an your arsenal, almost unfair when u think about it. Takes an very disciplined defender to not get caught by that move. Next time brother just give this fast brother (Sebastian Telfair)alot of space.
Old comment but you’re right. It’s so tempting as a defender to think you can snatch the ball. But as soon as you try to do that it’s all over (assuming the ball handler has elite quickness).
Sebastian is a solid pro at this point, he played very well for the Suns this year and even won their team hustle award named after Dan Majerle. It's obvious he's put in a lot of work on his game. He's a much better shooter than he was, way improved D and he's making much better decisions as a playmaker. He just seems more comfortable and consistent.
the key to successful crossovers is like u gotta study the rhythm of ur opponents defense and be able to think 2 steps ahead. thats when u are able to make it look easy.
i don't see how people can all this guy a "failure" or "bust". he has been in the league for almost 10 years and has made millions over that time..... but whatever hater gone hate.
True but like I said had he gone to college and got some experience his career might have been more than what it is. What people don't realize is that he was supposed to go to louisville and play for them but decided to go to the NBA at the last minute cause somebody got killed in the projects he grew up in right outside his mothers door. He wanted to hurry up and get his family out the hood. But at the end of the day I wish him well. He may not be a superstar but still a gifted point guard IMO.
I think he just peaked in high school, plain and simple. It happens to many players. He was the quickest and the fastest in HS and now NBA he hasn't continued to develop physically
yea he played at ohio state, im not a scooniepenn fan or anything but i saw the name on the bottom of the Hawks roster on NBA 2k1 and it just stuck in my head.
Just like Hip-Hop, NYC aint on top no more, but for 30-50 years, we originated it, showed yall what it looks like with a little flava, a little swag, upped the media attention, upped the dollars and now the rest of the country is running with it. Legend in 2 games....
Rafer Alston was a significant part of a Finals team and has been in the playoffs multiple times and is probably the most popular streetball player ever....I was getting your point until that part
@Jared504 what abt deron williams, derrick rose, derrick fisher, nate robinson, steph curry, ty lawson, brandon jennings, chris paul? just to name a few pg's who are good shooters
That phrase ever had any truth. Only New Yorkers believe that. New York basketball is more about flash than fundamentals. The only time kids from NY make it big is when they go play ball somewhere else like Oak Hill or a private school in Jersey. Neither high school or college basketball in city of NY is getting anyone anywhere of significance. Best player to come out of NY, high school and college, in recent memory is Ron Artest.
actually nick van exel is a flashy player, he's got the crossovers, he could dunk, throw no look pases, hit jumpers. At rucker park, nic van would run the show.
He's not a bum..there's just better players..people wouldn't be callling him bum or bust if the media didn't hype him up...not his fault that he was in the spotlight growing up...he's a basketball player period whether on the street or in an arena..yeah Pros are way ahead of everyone else (its not limited to the NBA)
since i saw this video I always trie to do the cross at 2 : 50 n it almost always works lol. Seriously u gotta try it, i have crossed manny many people with it hehehe it looks nice Nice video
When I saw a Jay-Z chain on his neck, i knew his career wasn't going to last. He hung with the wrong crowd unfortunately. He started getting in trouble with gun charge and going to jail. His family should pull him off that. He could have a long career in the nba.
@lb4life2idie yea thats jay and lebron, this was when jay created that s. carter team to go up against fat joe's terror squad team. they were suppose to meet in the championship but it got canceled
Lol miss the old days when shit was simple early 2000s were good years
David Chaparro word right.
Dats bcuz we was fresh outta da 90s things was kinda still da same it jus changed a slight bit but like I always tell everyone shit started getting weird like after 09"010" in my prospective I feel like dat and I was born in 91" lol
Baggy shorts era💯
Same here.
Could yave been a great player in the NBA IF HE STAY FOCUSED AND HUMBLE.
I use to watch all of telfair highlights before my summer league games back in 2006. I started point and watching his highlights gave me confidence before them games. A true legend.
Me too lol I used to watch through the fire before tryouts
Me too
Lebron wearing surpeme gear at 2:02. Can't imagine how much that would go for if someone found it
Good look lol
I guess this was recommended to me when I was listening to Sebastian telfair on Cameron and Mace sports talk show ... Woooow This was 17 years ago and I'm just now seeing it wow This is crazy 😮
Love the end. "Watch this shit! Watch this shit!" ... "I missed it."
Good old streetball mixtape-ish clips. Sebastian Telfair was one of the Nest Ball Handlers to lace 'em up, dude was straighth up ballin'.
Living street ball legend.... Salute And Respect....
2:14 is hilarious hahahhaha nigga layed down next to him
He could've been Chris Paul before Chris Paul. Perfect example of why you need to separate yourself from bad influences.
I saw him annihilate Chris Paul! Nobody could stay in front of him!!
one of the most talented players to never pan out in the nba
Just show tat nba is a different level. You can be a beast in HS or college but flop in NBA.
I had a few classes with Telfair back at Lincoln. He was a funny guy, down to earth.
Ah me too. We use to cut up
I love everything about this video. I'd buy a one-drink minimum ticket to hear "Oh my gawwwd" dude & "I missed it" guy repeat their duo performance. And yes, praise Nick Van Exel!
he did the god shamgod
2:02 *sebastian telfair is in the building* ...while lebron james walks behind lol

*NO HE DIDN'T!*

@TheDezert No he didnt. LeBron played for St. Vincent-St. Marry in Akron, Ohio and Sebastian played for Lincoln in New York. Get your facts straight
Yo it’s crazy to see your comments here
damn that shamgod crossover at the end was nasty.
this video from the get go exudes the very essence of streetball
its gritty yet flashy,
street but glamorous,
Talented, thanks for the video
the key to successful crossovers is like u gotta study the rhythm of ur opponents defense and be able to think 2 steps ahead. thats when u are able to make it look easy.
I'm surprised he hasn't made a big impact in the NBA. I thought he'd be like Jason Williams on the Kings, 14 points, 8 assists per game or so...
I miss the early 2000s, gosh I graduated in 2004. I remember watching to 2003 NBA draft
Lol at 3:06 the kid who says, " I missed it!"
2:11 my man stuck him up couldnt shake'em
3:10
"oHMY GOD!"
"i missed it"
lool
last move was crazy!!!
I'm here from Cam'ron and Mase #ItIsWhatItIs Bas was like that! Glad he doing great again.
Best tape I’ve ever seen
i don't see how people can all this guy a "failure" or "bust". he has been in the league for almost 10 years and has made millions over that time..... but whatever hater gone hate.
if he can do these great passes and show his real scoring ability in the NBA. then i will respect him as an NBA player.

@jared504 that is a good point, but Sebastian Telfair didn't play overseas until after his senior year of highschool basketball in Atlanta Georgia.
He was fast, could pass, and had elite handles. He was the truth

That phrase ever had any truth. Only New Yorkers believe that. New York basketball is more about flash than fundamentals.
