Keep in mind for those that don’t know or remember Scalabrine was your typical 12th man on the bench came in during garbage time type of player in the NBA.
One thing that you must remember is how much these guys train to play against each other (they all train at the highest level known to man). Therefore, playing against anyone who is weaker will be an absolute shit show. Not to mention they can get off shots in split seconds and train that way. So when they’re pulling up for a jumper you’re still standing there. Wide open all day pretty much
The court gets so much smaller in a game against real hoopers. The ability they have to create space that you think didn’t exist is unreal. Before you can even anticipate a move, you’re back on offense lol
The fact that Steph let Ayesha call go to voicemail, put his phone back in his pocket, then made bruh fall, is exactly why they’re in the league and we’re not 😂😂😂
To be fair, NBA level PFs and centers like Imbiid could yam on smaller NBA guards as easily as on someone at the ymca. Thats not to take away from the fact that NBA players are exponentially better than the average player, but the sheer size distinction is worth mentioning.
I knew a guy who some workouts with our local NBA franchise and he said NBA players are much faster than they appear. Not always in terms of forward momentum. But the motions. The hands. The core. It's the isometrics. Muscle vs Muscle. That's why most guards in the NBA are incredibly ripped. People never train like that, you just burn too many calories. Stamina suffers. Risk of injury goes up. Our maximum ability to pump calories to our muscles boils down to genetic potential, and age. If you are young and genetically gifted you can push harder for longer before they cramp up. Unfortunately, most people over the age of 24 could NEVER carry enough fast twitch and still run the floor.
I played basketball for a d3 college, And we had a visit from a France pro player. We played a regular scrimmage 5 on 5 and when i tell you that guy destroyed everyone basically alone. He scored 21 and every other squad we switched out that played against him wouldn’t score no more than 3. Couldn’t imagine a nba player
@@iluvcakes19that’s the whole of ball handling in an ISO he’d dribble too much just to exploit your defence, the second you so much as flinch your footing, you will get crossed, AI, Jamal Crawford 🤦♂️
the game must be in super slow motion for pros against normal folk. They just anticipate the entire thing by instinct. So crazy how far that constant practice and hard work (and obvi natural talent) can get you. If you so much as suit up for the NBA you could run your local rec center until you dead and gone
I know someone whos team got a visit from Omar Vizquell in high school and he pitched in batting practice and struck every single person out. Omar Vizquel was a shortstop not a pitcher and was in his late 30s. Just another universe
Theres no fucking way regular ballers can defeat Pro level players. Aside from the genes, the amount of time these pro plays, the tenacity of the opponents they face everyday, and the way they were train by the best trainers around the globe is just wayyyyy too much for ordinary ballers to handle ..
Basketball is one of the sports where good hoopers could at least still look respectable against pros -- unlike Tennis, for instance, where you would get completely shut out. But there are definitely levels to it, and you can always tell when someone is used to playing with better, faster players, because they look like they're on easy mode but still killing it.
@kylschwartz1745 That's mostly true, but I'm 6'1", so I don't really feel out of place playing with guys up to maybe 6'4" or 6'5". And the pros never really give it their all at open runs at the gym, but that doesn't mean I still can't be a shooter and passer and high IQ guy that might earn a little bit of respect on the court. The point still stands that when it comes to some other sports, like Tennis, the disparity in talent is even more pronounced.
@@AlokSomani Not a chance. Even playing against college players there is a massive skill gap. Keep in mind they train at a much faster pace and do everything 10x times better and quicker. If you could pick how you wanted them to score on you they'd still score 9/10 times.

Most people would get embarassed by D3 players
steph was cooking in dress shoes but prime d rose handles were insane
Bro a regular person having to guard Steph is soo crazy 😭
Steph with that church suit tho💀
Some D1 guy hooped at the park with us one day this guy was freaking super human so I can imagine a NBA player 😂
The gap is insane. I played against a few D1 and NBA players in HS throughout AAU, and the intensity was there then.
Love seeing the old MJ just beasting guys still. GOAT
That's a Chicago bulls official practice
@@Dranreb865that was at his camp, long after the Bulls and the Wizards
@@Dranreb865 Nah man, he was 45 in that video.
The court gets so much smaller in a game against real hoopers. The ability they have to create space that you think didn’t exist is unreal. Before you can even anticipate a move, you’re back on offense lol
An elite athlete with elite coaching is a deadly combination.
Never can feel bad when you come up against that.
1:58 What's funny is the dudes who are one the team of the NBA player. Just standing around watching them go 1-on-1 😂
4:13 bro got dropped & the ball landed on him. RIP
this is exactly why I always tell my friends , these nba players are levels ahead of us even the benchwarmers
I love that the "regular people" are working their asses off on D and the nba stars just look like they're sleepwalking 😂
Prime D rose and prime klay was crazy to watch back then
KD at Rucker was such a good moment. So pure
and so perfectly recorded, the whole video.. it's like a movie scene.. amazing
My worst nightmare would be trying to guard kyrie
He over dribbles
@@iluvcakes19 you have 1 brain cell and kyrie gonna use it to break your ankles
@@iluvcakes19 seriously? he is the arguably the guy with the best handles in the world... he can show off with more dribbles if he wants
@@umershaikh7179 okay... Still too many dribbles
@@iluvcakes19that’s the whole of ball handling in an ISO he’d dribble too much just to exploit your defence,
the second you so much as flinch your footing, you will get crossed,
AI, Jamal Crawford 🤦♂️
Regular People vs NBA Players, is like NBA Players vs MJ!!😋🐐
the game must be in super slow motion for pros against normal folk.
Just another universe
steph activating his inner kyrie in jeans is wild
I would love to see that Derrick Rose GoPro footage at 06:18
Man, i missed the Chicago Drose.
it's by these clips I can tell how big these players are and how big the NBA court is. Look at them walking among regular guys.
Damn… KD was taking lives at Rucker…
The reaper ☠️
I didn’t know you could smack the hand away like that. No wonder Mike was a killer. Creating mad space subtly
Klay crossed over the guy and untied his shoes at the same time at 0:03, what a move we never see in NBA!
Just remember, every NBA player, even the dude fighting for two-way contracts was the best player in his state at some level.
bruh NBA players couldn't even guard prime d rose
Mans got crossed and started tying his shoes🤣🤣
"You reach , I teach" by da GOAT
11:00 Mike So Damn Vicious 😂😂 Can’t Beat Em If You Score On Him It Just Make It Worse He Gone Start Doing Absurd Embarrassing Maneuvers
Had a chance to play against the Martin twins one summer up in Reno … they both scored all the points and won every game! It was pretty ridiculous
Trae is legendary for shutting loud mouths down in the gym. They think because they're his height, that they can really guard that dude.
Theres no fucking way regular ballers can defeat Pro level players. Aside from the genes, the amount of time these pro plays, the tenacity of the opponents they face everyday, and the way they were train by the best trainers around the globe is just wayyyyy too much for ordinary ballers to handle ..
I know alot of hoopers that would probably be in the league if they were just a little taller. Height is a big factor
@@ddennis2430 well, u cant teach size

seeing d rose up against a regular before he got injured. He was goddam quick
Basketball is one of the sports where good hoopers could at least still look respectable against pros -- unlike Tennis, for instance, where you would get completely shut out. But there are definitely levels to it, and you can always tell when someone is used to playing with better, faster players, because they look like they're on easy mode but still killing it.
good point mate
@@AlokSomanitennis is so rude in how they can shut you out that you wouldn’t be even able to volley back the ball. Just the serve itself is so damn fast that it flys by you.
People need to understand that you need to be born to be an NBA player, it's not like anyobody can pick up a ball and try their hardest and make it, you don't have a chance.
Beasley was YELLING and bussin their ass at the same time, that takes world class conditioning
Kyrie is a nightmare in 1v1 situations
Jordan just out there casually abusing OJ Mayo😅😅😅
Amazing how silly and absurd those baggy shorts look now lmao
It's O-err! It's O-err!! 😂😂😂 love it!
Gotta think. These guys where top hoopers in the state, country, high school, college, better than the g league, passed the 2 year rookie boot, and cemented a spot in the top basketball stage in the WORLD.
The speed and and power of D rose handles is insane
1:24 "it's ovber, it's ovber"
🤣😂😂
NBA players??? Dude, a D3 college player could come to your local YMCA pickup and light the gym on fire.
Announcer: Actually it's one by one not the three toghether.
D Rose: ...As if that woulda made a difference SMH
Man that DRose 1 on 1 is still some of the cleanest moves I've ever seen
Even the worst nba players would still shit on the average people on us
Exactly!😅💯
They will destroy even d1 ayers
The nba level and skill set is crazy. They can shoot left handed name blind folded and beat a normal person
kyrie a cheat code against normal ppl lmfaoooo
The fact the 2nd dude thought he had chance at stop D-Rose 💀
LMAO I love how you pulled up MJ's clip while he was embarassing future NBA player at the time, OJ Mayo. The title statement is true, but there's levels to this.
That Durant sequence in NY is legendary
