You should get a gold standard level.Over 800 parts u need to sand, prime, add base coat and then actually paint. And the ton of masking u applied on this kit.Outstanding
Right! The masking iris he made for that clutch looking cylinder part!? I was blown away with just that. and the sexy poses at the end I yelled at the monitor "NO F'ing WAY!"
Thank you so much! just gotta be patient i guess with the many amount of parts need to be painted, as for fingers, not really hurt, this model kinda easy to snap
The most beautiful paint job I've ever seen! This has convinced me to get this over the ThreeZero DLX. Did you make the shoulder joints stronger because @PrimeVsPrime showed that they were weak to hold his gun nor axe with arm out stretched? Someone stated using Gunprimer Joint Guard. I'm new to all this and want to follow your footsteps! But I'm wondering if I'd use a different red as this one looks too cherry red to me. IDK This seems like the coolest project in the world to do! I have to clear out my workbench in the garage! Thank you very much for showing your process!!!!❣
I have an Optimus Prime earth mode kit but haven’t assembled it cause I really want it to look metallic & new . Do you offer services where the parts? also how did you figure out what dark grey parts to paint since its not necessary to paint the unexposed parts? Only thing is I would want to assemble the parts myself after they are treated. You did an amazing job with the body work & the weapons.
thanks ,i just paint the whole things, theres no selection of which parts need to paint or not, for the different metallic tone, i just study first the whole runner, and chose a few runners on different paints
man the gold colored parts you painted really made sense to the eye. helped it to pop out more. You definitly brought the weaponry to life cause his gun & ax looks bland with out metallic painting. Man do you offer painting services?
nope, no test fit whatsoever, with the level of detailing given, i dont think its easy to disassemble back without breaking few parts, and as to paint it, just recolor it based on existing colour on the runner
I just wanted to know, why not paint them while they are in out of box panels and not individually? Easier to paint in one go. I ordered one myself but still if I should paint them like this or the other. Also It doesn't look like you sanded them out or did you just sand the one with the cut parts? - Awesome repaint!
if you paint it with still intact with the runner, its gonna required 2 times painting, one before cutting, and one after, not all parts are undergated, plus this is clear colour finish, which you will not gonna achieved by some touchup paintbrush later, on a side note also, if you paint on runner, theres a tendency not all parts covered with paints,
Hi there, I am following your paint selections. I have question which colour did I use for neck area, is it also gun metal or glossy black for finishing. Thanks you.
This looks amazing, great job!I just ordered the Yolopark AMK series Bumblebee, I plan on getting Optimus Prime and Primal as well, I also plan to paint them all. I'm new to painting model kits, how should I go about it? I've been watching alot of videos such as yours, can I just paint the figures with spray cans after disassembly instead of an airbrush? And then after that can I do the weathering effect? Is it that simple? I think I have the gist of it, but I wanna make sure I get it right. What are the steps to painting it?
mines version is yolpark soskill, i dont think amk series can be dissassemble piece by pice as i saw its just a snap assemble, no cutting required, which if you plan to paint it, masking is definitely unavoidable especially if you using rattle cans, you might need some handbrush later for the details, as for weathering, if you plan for something simple such as worn out look, just using enamel panel line and brush the whole kit with it, and clean it without let it dry, its called wash weathering technique
@@GundamStore oh ok, so I don't necessarily have to use an airbrush to cover the majority of it? And you mean using the enamel panel line and wiping it without letting it dry right?
@@GundamStorethe other way, is that I could use an airbrush to primer the whole thing and paint it the color that it originally was? So like the AMK Bumblebee that I have, I can prime the entire thing, even the yellow and they paint it back with whatever shade of yellow I want? Or should I not primer it at all and just paint of the original color
beautiful and congratulations although I have to say that it looks like an Optimus Prime that comes out brand new from the truck dealer. In the film it is very "lived in" and your work is wonderful but totally far from the optimum prime of the film

thank you sir! nope, i didnt make any upgrade on joints, because so far i didnt encountered any problems with them.
Beautiful work, I would like to know, did you add a varnish to protect the paint? Thank you and amazing work again!!!
thank you, yes , i use clear gloss coat as final finish
@@GundamStore Can you tell me the reference of the varnish you use please? 😇
just hobby grade gloss clear, mine is mr color gx100 super clear 3
I have a question about the steps. Do u do lining first before glossy clear spray or do it after spray for protection. Thx
lining and decals i always do after apply gloss clear coat, for protection purposes, and for panel line to run smoothly
@@GundamStore thank you 🥂
Amazing work. Did you top coat the parts with a gloss before building or just left it at the paint?
Yes I did, a habit of mine to topcoat every parts before assembling
The base is sold with the model kit ?
Fantastic paint job ❤
thank you! and no the base is not included with the model kit
Beautiful job. Was glue required for any of the kit?
thank you, nope, no glue required, just snap fit model kit
wow, how many hours were on it? 100 ?
not sure, but it nearly take 6 months to complete

Ive about to get this guy myself and I was wondering, did you test fit anything before painting? Or how did you come up with the plans to paint him?
nope, no test fit whatsoever, with the level of detailing given, i dont think its easy to disassemble back without breaking few parts, and as to paint it, just recolor it based on existing colour on the runner
@@GundamStore Thats what I figured but thanks man.
@@GundamStoredo you think the level of small parts and details of this kit is more detailed than the pg unleashed rx-78-2? Or same

the base i purchased from third party brand, still need to repaint it

it was gun metal
@@GundamStore thank you brother! So do u use just one tone gun metal or is there any lighter gun metal? Or just same gun metal tone for all the joints
mainly i use gun metal, then secondary tone i use burnt iron, its slightly darker
@@GundamStore thank you
Omg I love your work! ❤ it’s so pretty! Do u take freelance work for this model?
Yes I do!
That's cool just wondering how much would u charge to paint like this for my model! Thx
