This really shows how much a piece of plastic can affect a person's life. There is a reason so many were mad when Optimus Prime died in the 1986 movie.
I absolutely ADORE everything about The Unknown emphasizing so many different aspects of what it's like to be a collector, especially since you poured bits of yourself into him. Beast Wars Megatron being used as a basis for the "main" body since it's one of the first figures that you had, the hands that are proportionally large enough to hold the different fighters like action figures, the color palette, eyestalks and exosuit rig all combining to create the image of a giant metallic snail... Not to mention that ending. The idea of wanting to get the "perfect" incarnation of a character and finding yourself drowning in different versions trying to figure out what they mean to you, what ANY of it means to you, and eventually realizing that the "perfect" ones are just... the ones that make you happy. It's something I had to go through and still struggle to remind myself of.
This is so relatable. When I got into collecting transformer figures after getting my new job at the time I looked into the 3rd party market and I had trouble picking out what line of figures I wanted to buy and collect. Which led me to sell those figures and try buying other figures because I had issues on the ones that fitted with me the most on a spirit.
This is what I see so often with G1 fans. They get the newest version of the characters they loved in hopes that it's the perfect one, only to get the next "perfect one".
When I watched this I thought it would be another “toy finds out it is being played with and in a stop motion film”. but you made something unique and amazing and I’m glad I was able to watch this story. Amazing work as Always.
I never get tired of watching this. The stop-motion in this series is so smooth it runs like clockwork. The acting from the toys is astounding, to say the least. And the voice acting is definitely something to appreciate. What's more, the story is something really special, and has a good moral to it. In a way, it reminds me of Toy Story, and how a toy can never truly be replaced in someone's heart, even if one day we have to say goodbye to them. It's interesting that the villain is a collector who lost sight of this, and wanted to find the perfect transformers to stand beside him, but was continuously unsatisfied until the Optimus and Bumblebee of the Bumblebee movie, and BW Megatron came along. But it became clear that Optimus Prime, Bee, and BW Megatron were always worthy to him. And in the end, they helped him see the light, and we got that heartfelt ending scene with Lumaken, and his classic Transformers trio just sitting by his side in the outdoors. That truly means something to alot of us. Appreciate what we have with the time we have left with those we care about: and I respect how much those characters mean to you.:)
First time watching this and I’m shocked how the quality is very good. I thought it was a funny animation but the end it has a lore*breaths in and out* LORE!! The ending I get because I was into Transformer toys, making up stories all that but now I don’t get that anymore but they still belong in a place within my heart, all of our hearts since we grew up with these robots

Here my take on who would win between each character (specifically the bayverse movies, Generation 1 and beast wars for the sake of simplicity and my sanity) Optimus battle royale: bayverse prime: as powerful (and better characters) as primal and G1 prime are, bayverse prime is the best out of the three in solo combat as seen by just how brutal he is. That’s also excluding the upgrades he gets in future movies like his jet pack or his upgraded form in movies Age Of Extinction. Primal might have more of a chance of he’s in his “Optimal Optimus” form but if he gets an upgrade to his final from so does bayverse and I still think he could win even with primal getting a power boost. Bumblebee battle royale: bayverse bee: similar reasoning to Optimus. G1 Bee stands little chance and Cheetor, while strong in his own right, isn’t really strong enough to take down movie bee. Megatron battle royale: 85% G1 15% beast wars:this one is tougher than the others as not only do the other two have a chance of beating the movie counterpart, but movie Megatron has five different bodies each with different abilities, alt modes and weaknesses. Beast wars Megatron has three separate bodies as well but we know more about what he can and can’t do since they don’t just stick around for one movie and G1 Megatron can definitely hold his own in a fight as seen when he through down with Optimus in the 86 movie. I honestly believe they are both stronger than movie Meg’s. I also believe that G1 Megatron is stronger than BW Megatron but that’s just in his season 1 form, BW Meg’s has a higher chance of winning should we give him his dragon form but I still believe G1 Megatron could take him down Ironhide battle royale: Rhinox: again another tough one as all three have been through a lot of shit in their respective franchises but I feel Rhinox could take it. Rhinox has never changed his form since day 1 of the show and he has managed to survive all the shit that has happened in the show from getting a hole blown through his chest to slamming an autobot vessle into dragon Megatron. Plus he’s the only one of the three to have actually survived his franchise (Sentinel killed movie ironhide and Megatron kill G1 ironhide) Starscream battle royale: depends: this really depends on which beast wars character we have fight the Starscreams as there were at least six examples (Dinobot, Waspinator, Blackarachnia, Taratulas, Scorpinok and Terrorsaur) and the one we decide ok could change the fights outcome as I honestly think both Dinobot or Tarantulas could win there respective battles (provided taratulas in his transmetal form as he has little chance in his base form). Dinobot’s laser eyes can definitely shoot down the seekers and he is probably the best at solo combat of the six BW characters Now to include the rest of the combatants Optimus: original Cybertron TV show Optimus: dude is probably the strongest of them all as I think he has like planet busting feats to go off of Bumblebee: TFP bumblebee: the only bumblebee to have killed his universes Megatron. Plus he’s also extremely fast and skilled for a scout of all things and I think he’s more than a match for bayverse bumblebee Megatron: OG cybertron TV show: again I believe he has planet busting feats to scale off of Ironhide: movie hound or prime bulkhead: prime bulkhead is a demolition’s expert and Movie hound has a shit-load of weapons on his person that can use to take out his competition Starscream: OG cybertron TV show: Starscream grew as big as primes himself, what more do I have to say?

Here my take on who would win between each character (specifically the bayverse movies, Generation 1 and beast wars for the sake of simplicity and my sanity)
Optimus battle royale: bayverse prime: as powerful (and better characters) as primal and G1 prime are, bayverse prime is the best out of the three in solo combat as seen by just how brutal he is. That’s also excluding the upgrades he gets in future movies like his jet pack or his upgraded form in movies Age Of Extinction. Primal might have more of a chance of he’s in his “Optimal Optimus” form but if he gets an upgrade to his final from so does bayverse and I still think he could win even with primal getting a power boost.
Bumblebee battle royale: bayverse bee: similar reasoning to Optimus. G1 Bee stands little chance and Cheetor, while strong in his own right, isn’t really strong enough to take down movie bee.
Megatron battle royale: 85% G1 15% beast wars:this one is tougher than the others as not only do the other two have a chance of beating the movie counterpart, but movie Megatron has five different bodies each with different abilities, alt modes and weaknesses. Beast wars Megatron has three separate bodies as well but we know more about what he can and can’t do since they don’t just stick around for one movie and G1 Megatron can definitely hold his own in a fight as seen when he through down with Optimus in the 86 movie. I honestly believe they are both stronger than movie Meg’s. I also believe that G1 Megatron is stronger than BW Megatron but that’s just in his season 1 form, BW Meg’s has a higher chance of winning should we give him his dragon form but I still believe G1 Megatron could take him down
Ironhide battle royale: Rhinox: again another tough one as all three have been through a lot of shit in their respective franchises but I feel Rhinox could take it. Rhinox has never changed his form since day 1 of the show and he has managed to survive all the shit that has happened in the show from getting a hole blown through his chest to slamming an autobot vessle into dragon Megatron. Plus he’s the only one of the three to have actually survived his franchise (Sentinel killed movie ironhide and Megatron kill G1 ironhide)
Starscream battle royale: depends: this really depends on which beast wars character we have fight the Starscreams as there were at least six examples (Dinobot, Waspinator, Blackarachnia, Taratulas, Scorpinok and Terrorsaur) and the one we decide ok could change the fights outcome as I honestly think both Dinobot or Tarantulas could win there respective battles (provided taratulas in his transmetal form as he has little chance in his base form). Dinobot’s laser eyes can definitely shoot down the seekers and he is probably the best at solo combat of the six BW characters
Now to include the rest of the combatants
Optimus: original Cybertron TV show Optimus: dude is probably the strongest of them all as I think he has like planet busting feats to go off of
Bumblebee: TFP bumblebee: the only bumblebee to have killed his universes Megatron. Plus he’s also extremely fast and skilled for a scout of all things and I think he’s more than a match for bayverse bumblebee
Megatron: OG cybertron TV show: again I believe he has planet busting feats to scale off of
Ironhide: movie hound or prime bulkhead: prime bulkhead is a demolition’s expert and Movie hound has a shit-load of weapons on his person that can use to take out his competition
Starscream: OG cybertron TV show: Starscream grew as big as primes himself, what more do I have to say?
