I have been making piñatas for many years, I really like the way you structured your video and the construction of your piñata. Great job! Thank you for sharing.
Girl You did an amazing job !!! many years ago I also made pinata it's true it's really time consuming but at the end it's so worth it and fun trust me even though the pinata was busted open it's something that your godchild will remember and treasure that memory what you did for her on her 6th birthday and that's the simple little things in life... thanks again ^,,^
My daughter birthday is coming up soon & I've been wanting a number 4 piñata for her party. Your video was very informative & has inspired me to make one for her. (Love the crepe paper idea.)
Yes!! I'm so happy I was able to inspire you to make one! It's definitely time consuming but it's so worth it! Tag me on instagram (@simplyhandmade) if you end up making it. Good luck!!!
Thanks for the video it looked amazing and I will be doing this for my daughter's next birthday. One question though, have you tried using 3m spray adhesive instead if glue sticks? This might save alot of time.
Good job on the pinata. I was worried the one I just built wasn't sturdy enough. Will see I kinda probably over did it on the reinforcement but oh well it's gotta be able to take some hits from the big kids to.
For the strings to pull the door open... do you think maybe taping all of them but one of them glue down so it's like a store bought one? Since you mentioned the tape ones basically fell off? That way one of the strings will be the one that breaks it open.
Hi Sherrica! I'd try the paper mache (paper & flour) .. I'd suggest trying with thin paper like phone book paper and if that's too hard try it out with tissue paper. You can use a balloon to form the pinata, too!
Simply Handmade thank you so much for replying! I’m currently making a number 1. I’ve made some in the past with trap door but they were still unable to break it. I use a mixture depending on the piñata of the flour and water, duct tape and cheese cloth. Any tips I would greatly appreciate!
Thank you for what you do. If you could refer to your audience as "everyone," "everybody," "you all," etc. instead of "guys" or "you guys," it would be appreciated. Men being over represented in our language causes them to be privileged over women in ways far beyond language. What you say can help shift that. Thanks for considering this change.
This is easy to follow and just what I was looking for. I’m making a 6 also for next week. Thank you!

where were you when I was making this?! LOL. I think that might work out instead of glue sticks for sure

hahaha! Better safe than sorry! No one likes a pinata that breaks open with the slightest hit (although the kids might). I'm sure yours is awesome! :D
Love the piñata thanks for the advice

sounds like a good idea!

Is it best to use cardboard or do paper with flour mix? My Punta will be sphere like.

Thank you so much!
Do you have to have a trap door?
Yes, at the bottom! Just in case the kids are having a hard time breaking it :)
