Hi ! I love your video and I started making piñata yesterday. I put the newspaper on and let it dry overnight, except it didn’t dry. How much time does it need . Or am I doing something wrong?
So sorry for late reply, I have been extra busy moving and I hope its not too late to reply but the process is make your piñata structure using cardboard and poster board for the sides. Then use your newspaper and the right consistency of white flour made engrudo. Once your structure up, you can use your hair dryer to speed the process of drying but it does that overnight to make your piñata firm and strong to withstand the hitting part. Then you add your decorations. I hope it did dry.
Hi Thank you for the comment and yes its to make the piñata more durable. For some reason newspaper works best and its free so its a plus. Also so the bigger kids have a chance to hit it.
35 big pages of the colored tissue and you cut it into small squares. And I doubled the squares. At the dollar tree the only issue is that you don’t get packets of the same color. So at another discount store or also Ross I can recommend to buy.
Hi, I found the gift bag at the Dollar Tree. find the 10 piece tissue paper with one color, in this video I didn't find it and had to buy like 10 of the multicolor ones. But if you buy 2 of the blue tissue and 2 of a purple tissue, it will be cheaper. And one poster board. The white ones are cheaper. If you choose your materials carefully, you should spend about $8. The cardboard should be free. If you go to your local wholesale store, you might find that they can give you cardboard sheets for free instead of finding free cardboard boxes. But you can also use cardboard boxes.Hope this helps.
Hi there. I apologies for not showing the back part but it was the same as the front. When I use the frozen gift bag. Make sure it has the same image on the front and the back because you're piñata has to look symmetrical.

👋 hello. Thank you for sharing. What kind of flower do you use for engrudo? I did whole weat and did not work
Hi thank you for watching. Just use a white flour. You can even get some from dollar tree since it’s not for cooking. That will work.
Thank you for the quick reply. I appreciate you. Will try again with the engrudo, hope I master it this time 🙂🤞
@@d.lunadiymom2490 what is the flour to water ratio? Do you need to add water as you go, to prevent it drying out?

Thank you for the video! Question, what’s the point of covering it with newspaper? I’m guessing to make it more durable?

Is it ok to use cornstarch?
First of all thank you for the comment. Only use white flour. It is the best adhesive for the paper.
