    Wow , finally a real evaluation of real, quality bikes.
    Bikes that you can actually say they are among the best made.
    I have seen dozens and dozens of evaluations, comparisons, top 5 ,top 10, top 12, you name it I seen them all and I think everybody else has also. and they're all showing inferior products listed as the top 10 top 5 top whatever.
    It's been terrible reading them all, knowing that they're all b*******.
    Thank you for a very knowledgeable and enjoyable video of real top 5 e bikes

    @2:34 "Norco is located in north Vancouver. Where mountain biking began." Really? I could have sworn that it began in Marin County on Mount Tam (Tamalpais) with the Repack race in the late 60s/early 70s. I think that this is generally accepted as the historic start of the sport. Aside from that...great content! :-)

    • @gearhub7788
      @gearhub7788  2 роки тому

      Technically yes, mountain biking was born in Marin but in the 70s the trail building in Vancouver took the sport to a different level. I may have used simplified language to get my point across why some brands are based in the shore.

      The rise is an interesting bike and it's great to see more in the superlight category. For me the Levo Sl takes it. Yes the specialized is more expensive but the motor has been redesigned, it's not a full size motor with firmware limiting the torque like the shimano. The Orbea is better value but Specialized have the better app, better R&D and more service centres.

However I'd be more than happy to ride the Kenevo SL that just got released until the release my dream bike. Thing looks like a rocket!

      Yeah I had the Enduro in mind when talking about the Kenevo, because the original post talked about the Enduro.
      So I thought that’s what you had in mind too.
      Misunderstanding from my side, sorry!
      However I thought the new redesigned Levo already got a very capable geometry.
      In my mind I already considered it like something like a „Levo Evo“ and didn’t saw the need for another model inbetween the new Levo and the Kenevo.
      So basically: „old“ Levo - new Levo - Kenevo.
      I didn’t even know they released also a Kenevo SL, time to look it up, thanks!

Of course I’m excited to see the new versions in the flesh but this version of the sight is still solid even if the only option to pick one up now is on the used market. Just come across your channel and was obviously swayed by the Scottish accent . . . but I did hear a lot of the bike decision based on sales and popularity on the trails? That should never come in to the equation for a report on a "top 5". Surely you need to say why it is popular? Ride in Peebles/Glentress and you will see lots of Santa Cruz, but that isn't because they are the best (although I may be digging a hole here), but that is because that is the bikes the local dealer sells!

    • @gearhub7788
      @gearhub7788  3 роки тому +1

      Totally, I’m coming from a shop perspective and numbers on the trail for me do equate to how well the bike resonates with different riding styles. I can test a bike but I’m not going to have the same experience as a 6’6 200lb dude so when I see loads of different types people riding one model of bike that speaks to how versatile that bike is. I live in Whistler so there is a ton of dealers and brands fighting it out on the trails. Sometimes it’s down to sales margins but sometimes it points to the bike itself being special. Reckon you should try a Santa Cruz 😜
