At 7:20 mins in the video you start talking about tension (on the chains?) and how they can break the bearing. Do you mean the upward pull on the chains can break the bearing? If this is what it is should I try to have as little upwards pull on the chains as possible?
yes you are correct, the chain tension is set at the factory and when leveling the machine the leveling feet should be adjusted instead of the chains. There have been instances of customers overtightening the chains and causing abnormal stress on the bearing because of excess upward pull.
I received my new R1M... I noticed one of the bearing blocks is set up on the wrong side ... Now, to access the grease-nipple, I need to take out the motor belt, pull the motor out of position, just to have access to that grease nipple ... And, because I see no signs of grease in those new bearing blocks, I feel I cannot use the machine until those bearing blocks are generously greased up... Any comments on that front ???
Hi, Geoff, They are gonna be out sooner. John is done with the machines. So if you want to allocate one, Just give us a call at 512-348-8528 or send us an email at info@hplapidary.com

I wish I had a place to house that monster!🤣
I would have liked to have seen it running and grinding or polishing some rocks. It would give me more of an idea of how it exactly works overall.
Hi Gary, we have a video showing this machine in operation. You can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/-ViM_8Mt1eg/v-deo.html

👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏A smart, thoughtful, original machine! John, my friend, is this your invention?
I love my two new R1Ms.
accessible for a standard grease gun
That was supposed to say; "I suggest flipping the pillow blocks over, or install 90 degree grease fittings to be..."

Our customer support team are currently working on this. Thank you!
All the bearings are greased in the factory, most people tend to over-grease bearings and this can cause the bearings to run hotter than normal.
How far away is your 400mm vibrolap? People are screaming for them.
