  • This is the process I use to grind wedges for the best players in the game, when I'm out on the road working out of the TaylorMade Tour Truck.
    Learn about wedge bounce & why I would change a wedge for certain PGA Tour Players.

      I am just amazed that Trottie has a 20+ year old polo that still fits. I am sure though that Nike hoped that logo would have floated away and have no one recognize it it. Kind of like the original tiger headcover they made.

    Great video, but if you add weights to the hosel, will it make it more draw biased?

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  3 роки тому +1

      At that speed it wont have a huge impact. Weight in the hosel equates to feel

    Very informative. Does grinding affect swing weight? And by how much?

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  4 роки тому +3

      💯 % yes, if you remove 2 grams then it’s one swing weight,. This grind you’d be looking to add 10 swing weight points, done by weights added to a hosel pocket intended for this purpose.

    Hey Trottie, great video!
    This seems like the perfect wedge. I love my hi-toe 58 for the ATV Grind (amongst other reasons) but I definitely prefer the feel and flight of my MG2 50. Plus the raw face is great. Seems like a MG2 with an ATV grind in a lob wedge would be the perfect club.
    Any chance TM would make that available to the public? as a custom order maybe?
    Thanks
    Mike

    Hi Trottie, i’ve only been playing golf just over a year and i am a high handicapper (22). I recently went for a fitting as my iron shafts are graphite and reg flex.
    During the fitting i was swinging really well and was fitted for some p790s with heavy stiff tour shafts, which i understand are designed for mid handicappers and lower.
    Given the price of these i’m worried that i wont be able to replicate that form immediately and be left with a large hole in my pocket. Do you have any thoughts on this?

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  4 роки тому +1

      First question. What are you aspirations for your game? If you have high hopes to improve? gain speed? take lessons? play more? Then get the stronger shafts, equipment that has room to grow with you as a PLYR is of more benefit than you feeling you have holes in your game due to the wrong choices during the buying process ⛳️

    • @rushuddin6178
      @rushuddin6178 4 роки тому

      @@trottiegolf i definitely want to improve i think i can get my handicap right down if i knew what chipping and putting was!
      I don’t have the issue with the 120g stiff shaft, its more whether i want to give up the forgiveness of the cavity back for the ones i don’t strike out the middle. Are the p790s forgiving? As i oddly enough didn’t hit a bad one all day

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  4 роки тому

      Nope.... I hand ground one for tutorial purposes. Look at the area I’m grinding in, this is the only section of the truck dedicated to grinding. We would possibly grind once every 6 weeks & that’s being generous. MG wedges are designed to avoid this scenario & we constantly refine the designs working with the best players in the game to ensure our soles cover all their requirements.
