- #twister at @KnoebelsAmusementResort is one of our favorite woodies for a reason. The most extreme laterals, surprisingly great airtime and a killer layout. Enjoy Twister at the one and only #knoebels .🪵 Height:102ft MPH:51
This ride is insane! The speed that you’re going as you enter the big helix section actually gives me chills
Went there Friday for a few hours. Twister just keeps getting faster, and Phoenix had me flying out of my seat; the food is also outstanding, Surprised their fries didn't come with salt, but they were still good, as was the teaberry icecream which some people seem to hate. I don't mind minty. Also their candy and fudge are pretty good. Beautiful drive as well.
One of my favorite coasters ever. Lot of history with this ride, natural disasters, and i remember there was a deaf man who manned the entrance for many years, i hope he still works there :)
Can confirm he is still there!
I believe he still works there I saw him 2 years ago
Saw him yesterday!
Yep still there! Very kind man
Still there
Knoebles is a very special place to me. I can credit it for being the main reason I am a coaster enthusiast. Phoenix, Twister, Impulse, they are all very special rides to me
This ride needs more love!! This is one of my favorite woodys
Wow you stopped on the brake run! That's a rarity at Knoebels with how efficient their operations are! I've only seen the trains stack one time on Phoenix and Twister in about 25 years of going there. Twister is one of the most underrated wooden coasters out there. The way the ride tears through the course from start to finish is one serious adrenaline rush.
Yo what the….. that’s the most interesting Wooden Coaster I’ve EVER seen like the lift…. Man that’s so crazy! 😲
The turnaround between the two lifts at 0:44 are the strongest laterals I've ever experienced on any coaster.
This roller coaster is so underrated!!! My favorite!
That looks awesome. I love wooden coasters the best.
1:50 the wooden structure is pretty sick. I've never seen anything like that!
Thing is a beast in every way 🤌🏽
@@EastCoasters Besides being named the beast
@@Itzcxnnon this is Twister at Knoebels
Wow! That’s flying!!!
I got to Knoebels for the first time this season. Planning on still hitting Luna, Hershey, Kennywood, Kentucky Kingdom, Holiday World & Indiana Beach to and I should be well into my first 100 credits (finally!), if I don't get a chance to meet up and ride a few with ya this summer I'm gonna be butthurt! 🤣 jkjk I'm off paid all of August so alot of my travels will happen then, but I can hit a park anywhere within a couple hours of CT with pretty little notice just lmk! 🤘😎
Best ride at Knoebels!
100%🥃
I remember this was my first 100 foot Rollercoaster. I felt like i was in the air lol
That... was... awesome!!!
I have always enjoyed twister and was excited this past halloween festival to be going to the park especially knowing the retracked the helix...
WOW< whoever they hired did a crap job, the blue train I was in jackhammered through the helix something fierce... and just chattered through the rest of the ride. The Phoenix was smooth and fun as usual
Knoebels has their own maintenance team and wood supply right next to the park. The helixes were retracked last year and we’re butter smooth
Wow that looks awesome 🙌 We don’t have anything like that here in Western Australia 🇦🇺
I love love this coaster.
Same here, one of my favorite woodies. 🤌🏽

a tunnel after the second helix curve (like the original, under turn # 2) would be an awesome addition...;^)
This layout looks like they starting building without a blueprint and just put turns in when they ran out of space. WTF at that stacked lift hill.
The layout is a mirror image of the defunct Mister Twister at Elitch Gardens original location.
They did that due to lack of space. Otherwise the layout wouldn't have fit in the small space they had.
Phoenix And Twister Are Both Good Or Amazing Tier Woodies
Are those automatic skid brakes? I don’t see any hand brakes but I’ve never seen skids on a computer system.
This is insane quality. What camera was used here? Thanks!
