DiCaprio flies on private jets all the time and hangs out on gas guzzling mega yachts, Ed Sheeran has a luxury watch collection.
Apparently it only makes sense to _buy_ a private jet if you're flying 150-200+ hours per year, or else you can just rent or charter one for a fee. You actually don't need to be mega rich to use a private jet from time to time.

Ed Sheeran ate at my friends restaurant. When the waiter come over, he asked him for the fanciest bottle of wine they have, “what would you recommend out of the whole selection ?” It was a €1500+ euro bottle, not their most expensive but a great tasting one nonetheless. After the waiter gave that recommendation, Ed said fine you can take another to go for yourself after your shift and paid for both.

I guess some people would argue that this is "rude" or come up with other stupid stuff, because they hate a person they dont know out of envy, but imagine beeing that waiter.... you have a story to tell for the rest of your life and the follow up question on "how was the bottle?" is far better than getting the money in cash. YES, some people might be broke and pref the money... but this isnt the point. The point is that memorys about special things is one of the things that nobody can take a way from you. Even if you are out of luck and on the street you could still say "wait, i'm the one that got gifted this bottle by a star.... wtf happened with me?" and you can find the power to fix your life, while with money you might still be broke with the mindset that you're so out of luck and since nobody will give you another 1500$ out of nothing... your life is basicaly over. THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE

A lot of people don't realize that the reason rich people remain rich is because they just don't spend their money. They don't need much as long as their basic needs are met and they're able to feed their kids and put them through good schools. The real challenge is passing that attitude on to their children.
Conveniently forgets that Ed Sheeran bought 5 houses adjacent to each other in his home town, and bought out the neighbour who objected the most. If that's not a blatant abuse of money, I don't know what is.

When Kawhi Leonard was playing for the San Antonio Spurs I was working at a Best Buy in San Antonio. Everybody got excited because at one of the Best Buy stores in the area he had made an appointment and pulled up to get a radio installed in that Chevy Tahoe. Maybe he meant like day to day? I mean if you have a bajillion dollars it’s incredibly silly not to invest it. It’s not like you can put $100M in a checking account and not worry about it. A lot of watches maintain or even gain value, so it’s a good thing to collect. Same with art which is why so many rich ppl have a lot of it. If you have hundreds of millions you really need to spread that $ around. Stocks, art, watches or some other kind of collectible that stores value or gains it, real estate, mutual funds, bonds, even commodities like raw materials and agricultural products that range from precious metals to some pretty random stuff like certain types of food items. Weird stuff lol.
