a small town in Karnataka's Mandya district, is popular as a paradise for fishing enthusiasts as it is home to the Mahseer fishes - one of the finest game fish in the world. This town is tranquil and is the perfect getaway for a short trip from Bangalore. Due to its proximity with the Cauvery River and its extensive forest cover with a variety of flora and fauna, Bheemeshwari is visited by adventure lovers and bird watchers for boating, adventure camps, trekking up the hills and its varied species of birds present here.
2. Ganalu Falls
Located just 100 km away from the city of Bangalore, Ganalu Falls is close to Shivanasamudra. A cascade of shallow water flows on rocky terrain and the backdrop is breathtaking, more so because it is undiscovered and yet to get commercial. The ride or drive to the location will be a smooth one till you reach Ganalu village. It’s not going to be easy to reach the falls since there is only a trail but you can always ask the friendly villagers for help.
