KTM Duke 250 Austin racing Custom work Sound check

- Featuring:
2017 KTM duke 250 with Austin racing GP1R exhaust with Orange tip and carbon fiber Can
The moment I Plugged in the Exhaust I was not satisfied with the Sound As it was Too Loud and obnoxious
Even with the dB killer it didn't make much of a difference
So i got the hole of the dB killer reduced and bought a Universal 51mm catalytic dB killer from JC road(popular automobile spares in bangalore)
the db killer went in the same way and the catalytic dB killer went in the Bend pipe and That was when this RACE exhaust became Road Legal
The following are the Sound levels using Mobile app:
92 dB no exhaust
90 Without dB killer(s)
81 with the changes (i.e with 2 dB killers)
Weight got reduced by approx. 2 Kg's which is not much
Ultimately it's a 1 Cylinder Bike and changing the exhaust only improves by a little bit.
In case anyone wants i got this from www.austinracing.com/ and it will be listed in duke 390
Thank you for watching

Good work keep it up... Do upload ur modification video ..
The next video will definitely be that one
A perfect auto noww
Where did u buy the tail bro
Share me the exhaust purchase link please
How much does this cost?
Some say that it required two db killers to reduce the noice of the silencer and to reduce the noice he is making on UA-cam .. it's none other than pat47
Hey bro i just want to ask whats the size of the db killer u spot weld inside the exhaust elbow? Thanks
ID of Exhaust is 52mm. So Size would be the same.
Dude, where did you got the bend pipe for this exhaust ?
When u buy a Slip-on from a popular exhaust company it includes a Titanium bend pipe.
How come has your new V2 ktm 390 not have the new Tft dash?...Edit: btw, yours is prob the nicest 390 i have seen!
haha maybe because its a 250 :P
I have my 2019 Duke 250 and I was looking for the best exhaust and really liked this one...I would need your help in this because I really Don't how to do the changes in the exhaust. If I buy this will it really sound better also what should be needed to make it legal to ride on the road with this exhaust because I'm not getting what changes you made with the replacement exhaust and also need to know whether it affects the mileage
If You Buy Austin racing you to have Buy a catalytic DB Killer to make it road Legal(82 Db).If you Don't want to do all that go For Akrapovic. Don't worry about installation you can do it yourself by seeing other UA-cam videos else can be given to the KTM showroom. It will definitely sound better. Altogether don't Expect a super bike sound from a 1 cylinder bike.
Dm me on insta if u want to have a chat about this.
@@ThePatriot. how is the mileage affected?...how much is decreased
@@virajphadtare4816 I cannot be accurate but about 1-3 Kmpl

I dont think so.
@@ThePatriot. that sticker looks dope 👍
Can you tell me what's the db limit for super bike (1000cc)?
I'm pretty sure it's the same. But if ur caught just tell its imported.
@@ThePatriot. thanks man appreciate you
What is the name of exhaust
Austin racing GP1r
Six seater rickshaw sound
Because both have single cylinder.
Bro any tips on how to make duke 250 bs6 slip-on after market louder
For stock Exhaust?
@@ThePatriot. no im using akrapovic first copy
@@wilsiyt Remove the DB Killer or Get an Original Slip-on
@@ThePatriot. the db killer is removed
@@wilsiyt Either install an SC/Austin racing. Changing the Air filter is not recommended because then u will have to remap ECU
Duke= bee
Sounds sweet bud! I have also installed my first mechanical mods on my D250 i.e the K & N air filter and exhaust. Do I need to remap my ecu and is there any way I could do it without switching to Powertronics?
U 'HAVE' to remap. There are other devices like dynojet, atom etc. But powertronics is the cheapest.
@@ThePatriot. Is there a way to tune the stock ecu? I don't want to switch to these Piggyback ECU's
I don't think u can edit the stock one. if the ECU is too costly if it were me I'd just replace the air filter back to a stock filter
@@ThePatriot. Ya that's a good option. I'll try without any ecu upgrades n see if there are any problems.
A small price to pay for salvation !
Bro the graphic sticker how much cost you??
I really dont know the price now it's been a long time since I bought it. Why dont u go to any ktm showroom and find it out yourself.
From showroom have you bought it??
Hi buddy .....first of all awesome job with the DB killer ....could you help me out with ordering from the website please ??
Ordering the db killer?
nai bro ...exhaust ...like im in mumbai so do they ship it directly if ordered from the website ? because local stockists are charging almost 10 to 15 k higher prices ...
Ofc they will ship it directly and you have to clear customs charges. So u have to pay for product+shipping+customs
yeah ....so how much you get it for if i may ask ...total round up price ?
Around 45-50k depending on where you live.
Do u still have the exhuast
Yes
Bro.. milaege after this exhaust
27 kmpl in City , 35-40 highways
How i can buy that tail bro

Sounds like Husqvarna
Is it omologated?
I don't know if is legal or not but its quiter than the road Limit
Price??
I have no clue where you live....so go to the site mentioned in the description.
Bro can you send me link for mid pipe db killer
Really sorry didnt read your question properly i thought u were asking for mid pipe. I bought the db killer from a local store so i have no link if i find one ill link it.
Type this in your search and you will find many "universal 51mm front end Catalyst DB Killer for Motorcycle Exhaust DB killer"
Thanks alot , how significant is the sound reduction with that db killer?
Its a lot compared to a normal db killer. Id say about 40% sound reduction
Oh okay bro i had sc project first copy it was very loud so i was thinking about getting one db killer
Thank you for helping
So what did you ruin the power for? Just the looks of the exhaust? I don't get it at all...
Where is the power getting ruined ? Its not its probably increased by 2 or 3 hp.
@@ThePatriot. Did you dyno it? No... You constricted the exhaust with additional db killer... You can't just "guess" it has more power...
If you test stock and test your solution I bet your solution lost a lot of power...
Then again my experience is from my 1290 Super Duke 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0... But should be the same on small motor...
@@mcbrite If this "stock" which u said is the stock exhaust which u get with the bike then this setup definitely has more power than the stock. and if the "stock" meant the Austin slip on without the db then this setup has relatively less power. The assumed increase in power is just rough not even approximate. The stock exhaust which comes with the 250 constricts more than the current setup that I'm sure of. Ultimately I made this setup to cope up with the rules of the road while having a bit of fun with the sound and appearance that's all.The goal was not to increase power solely.
@@ThePatriot. Why do you believe it has more power than stock? Most add-on cans reduce power a bit... And do you honestly believe, that the can on a 30hp motor will give you 2-3hp? That's pure fantasy, mate... The 1290 has 180hp and a can will only change power by 0-3hp (up OR down, depending on can). I assume you have DynoJet or other Dynos in India? Just do a test!
250 Duke is interesting bike! We can't buy it in Germany/Europe! Only Dukes to buy: 125(15hp)/390(44hp)/790(105hp)/890(121hp)/1290 (180hp).
How often do you see bigger bikes like 890 and 1290 on the street in India?
Have you tried an O2-killer/Lamda-Killer on your Bike?
@@ThePatriot. PS: I'm also waiting on my AR exhaust! V3 200mm... I'm afraid it will also be too loud... ^^
Sound like a MAT Chetak Bajaj 😁😂😂😂😂
It is more similar to CD100 i would say
@@ThePatriot. please another blog with Bajaj Chetak 🛵
Bro, you know hindi language? Please full video hindi language add.
I know Hindi. I don't think i will
