@cbrboy1717 its not boggin down hes holding the clutch and letting go slowly while shifting down so the engine hekps with the braking of the rear wheel. At thesame time hes carefully applying the rear brakes. Kinda like the same concept for drifting motards
thank you for the info. Taking Hp gain into count definitely headers not worth the money, but can it have impact on the speed of revving the engine? Sometimes i believe my R1 is revving even slower than my 2004 r6 ??? i'm having ECU replaced next week, hopefully that will sort out this problem... but if not, what should i look at?
hey Shirky, what bike did you first start learning on and how long until you moved up? how long until you got a 1000? i want to hit the tracks bad but i dont have my first bike yet... do you recommend any? like ninja 500 or go to a 600? thanks
nice power delivery, what mods did you install? i see in previous posts evo2, pc3, quickshifter... anything else? i run 2007 as well with graves motosports cat elim system, any suggestion what mods should i be looking for next? i was thinking about bazzaz performance module and bmc filter... but i've heard i cannot do anything more as i dont have aftermarket headers? great riding anyway, cheers
Biggest flaw off the dynojet quickshifter: It happens very rarely but this time it did it again. While shifting you need to really push/pull the gear lever enough otherwise it can happen it will jump in between the gears and it hits neutral. That's why while accelerating i realized it was in 3rd instead of 2nd gear and i quickly downshifted to get enough power. There was a rider trailing me the complete race :-)
@ Shriky , knap staaltje stuurwerk man ! Is deze R1 nog standaard ? ik denk namelijk van niet . Gebruik je ook snelgas , quickshifter ? rapid bike enz ?? Groeten
Yup, somewhere there's one which is labelled, please do not sit on it - Shriky's Bike. :-) Hopefully i can get it ready for our first trackday @ march 26th.
I learned to ride a bike on a mx :-) 600 is more then enough to start with. You'll know when you can move up when you're using the 600 to all it's potential.
It was a full akra evo2, got a bmc too off course. And -1 on the front, +1 rear on this track. You won't gain much by replacing the headers. Teammate has slipons only and had 1hp less then me, not worth the money.
Very impressive mate... I just finished my 3 days at jerez yesterday...your laps are really top notch ...
These post 2004 R1's engine are pure heaven between 12.000 and 14.500 rpm!
Is de R1 die ik in 08/2007 gekocht heb hé.
De '04 (die eerder in cross-trim stond) had ik terug racetrim gezet en meegepakt als regenmoto.

veryyyyy nice ... i love the R1 RN19
hello,
your lap on jerez is so impresive, great!!!
but for race have you a reverse shift ?
Quick question from a new track rider...... off of the back straight into the right hander, why do you let the engine bog down when shifting? Thx

Smooth riding as always. Very nice, are you gettin the 09 R1 anytime soon? If so, looking forward to onboard footage.

15/45? 17/45?
If you think it revs too slowly you can always change your sprockets :-)
