Hi Lovely People!!
Being someone who once used to hoard makeup, I am so happy to be sharing with you how I keep my makeup organized. Over the years I’ve had the same issue as a lot of you where I’d buy makeup and never use it. I’d hold onto it for years afraid to get rid of them but never using it because it either didn’t suit me or I didn’t care for it - simply put! Now I only hold onto makeup I love and use and I’m so happy I’ve transitioned into this more minimal makeup storage. Best of all, I always use up my makeup and all of my makeup is always easily detectable and accessible! I hope you enjoy this video and it leads you toward a more minimalist makeup experience.

The pandemic was awful for collecting makeup that could so easily be shipped to my house....so much makeup...I don't think I could use it all in my lifetime. And I'm sitting here realizing how much time I take just trying to figure out which makeup to use in the morning!!! so unproductive!!! I really need to reign it all in and get myself together!!!!

Makeup doesn’t have an expiration date 🙉 neither do dry goods in my pantry 🙈 hahahaha im still trying to work on letting go of expired items 😅

I absolutely love this idea of the bin and organized compartments. I am the same way about the bad habit of leaving things in the counter when I'm done. I like everything in my face so it's genius to be able to put it in a bin and grab it back out and still visually see everything! Thank you for this video!! 💋

Finally someone who can relate to this issue! I'm excited to try this, in the past I've used ikea drawers but honestly putting back makeup in those tiny drawers is soo time consuming, especially when I am in a rush. When I was a teen I used to have a dresser vanity and I would put all my makeup in the top giant drawer. Having everything in one area has worked for me in the past so this should also work. Also if makeup expires it doesn't make sense to buy a lot, I don't understand when ladies have a whole collection, unless they are makeup artist then it would make sense.

👍🏾. I bought a clear acrylic multidrawer organizer 3 years from Amazon when I started wearing makeup constantly. Because of the pandemic, I can count on 1 hand how many times I've worn makeup in the past year. It's always good to go thru your makeup and declutter from time to time👌🏾 It's so freeing!
It is soooo freeing! The best part is once you declutter when you do finally put on makeup again that process will be so easy.

My resolution was to use what I have without buying more. Besides makeup, this includes lotions, soaps, etc. Then I can do my research and buy something to fill in the gaps (products I've used up that are to be repurchased)
Just washed all my brushes and sponges and wiped all makeup cases down and reorganized. I'm finally down to travel size organizers.
I date my makeup, particularly mascara so I don't keep it too long. I figured out how to remove eyeshadow from pallets and condense it down into color pallets I actually use.

I’m a beauty content creator and I recently decluttered my makeup. I do my best to rotate my makeup so I use them all!
I choose not to buy makeup until I start to run out of the product.

I have those same clear containers. I got mine from Amazon and I have those white bins I purchased from IKEA.
What do you use to clean your brushes and sponges?
Hi Love! Rotating your makeup is another great way to use up your makeup at a great pace. The ones at Ikea are my personal favorite if only they came in a larger size. To clean my brushes I'm pretty simple and use soap (castile soap) and water.

Fantastic!! I have open shelves in my apartment so I will be doing this, I hate seeing clutter. Seeing how many bins you were able to fit in there I can look at their other sizes and design a layout that would work for me. I see a skincare and a makeup bin in my future. 1) The moment all the organizers fit in the space! I swear there is no greater joy in the world!
2) I feel like I used those same organizers in a client's kitchen recently! They are bomb!
3) I hope this doesn't come off no type of way - but your foundation is flawless for drug store brands. I swore it was lancome or nars or somethin!

Great joy! Aren't they so amazing!!!! Those are some of the best Container Store branded products I've seen thus far. Thank you for the compliment! I tend to try to stick to drug store brands because they've always done me well. Lol, I completely get it. There are times when I as an Organizer have to come to terms with what I'm holding onto. No judgment ever!

Use the orange eyeshadow with another brown in your crease, it’s great transition color for brown girls.

I am OBSESSED with that mascara as well!!! I still use it 😂 I love it bc I can apply it very minimally so my eyelashes look natural and not insanely done up

Next time you end up with a thick foundation you can mix it with your favorite moisturizer for a tinted, light coverage look 😃
I do the same thing with my MAC foundation. It’s thick like stage makeup, so for every day wear, I mix in a shimmer moisturizer by L’Oréal.

LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. Nonprofits that help women find jobs will take unopened makeup. I donate mine to a local women's organization. And I found out that nail polish is considered a household hazardous waste product and must be disposed of properly. I recently put a chart from real simple magazine that showed all the expiration dates for makeup. Thanks for making this video. I am going to clean my brushes later today!

It should be fun!! Now that I organize my makeup this way, it's so much easier to put it away which prevents me from leaving them out.
I just went through all my male up today and got rid of a shoe box of make up some expired some to donate.
I reorganised my main draw and mu cupboard draws that hold the bulk...

Thanks for sharing! I have a very similar amount of makeup so I think I’ll be using the plastic bin method too! That way when I’m done with it, I can stick it in the cabinet so it’s not cluttering the counter!

This isn't your niche I can see because baby from the product brands to the hard plastic , elf blender on top of elf blender brushes on top of other brushes ! And the hard plastic bin. No mam ! And when organizing makeup. It has to be clean and hygienic. Maybe try pens in there or do you have a seasoning video , seasoning bins ? Labels etc. but this is a no mam
